so  since you are not taking me up on a deal of a century. I have a real solution for you .  I leaned on 1911 than tried all other guns. and now shoot them all the same.  That strong hand thumb must be siting on the safety the whole time. you will never activate it. your thumb never comes of it unless you are consciously activating the safety or maybe a reload.

    Yep. 110% correct.

This is beautiful! What grips are those? The profile looks interesting, how do they compare to the stock grips?

Thank you. These are the Patriot Defense CZ75 brass palm swell grips. They really fill out your hand much better than the stock ones which are pretty thin. They are also very grippy and you can get them in a couple different options if you don’t want them as aggressive.

That's a change of direction for Primary Machine. In the past they have insisted on refinishing the entire slide.

    Good news for Primary Machine.

It’s a great call on their part. I want to send mine to them or DSC for a Tri top

Has anyone ordered a safety from the dan wesson site? Im guessing its both sides? The image is only the right.

in regards to the trigger, it looks like the ones you can order from them have the tabs on the bow to adjust pretravel. The trigger bow that came in my gun doesn’t have these adjustment tabs… kinda weird?

I was told that the safeties on the site are ambi. Sure hope so.

oh I know I was agreeing with you. Why make aftermarket parts for a gun that's not available. They're becoming more available now though, at least locally to me. So far in comparison to a Staccato the DWX seems to get high marks. Especially from the crowd coming from the Shadow 2.

I have noticed the same thing on some FB forums regarding it being superior to Staccato per some people. Can't wait to get mine in my hands.

They’re definitely becoming more available. First round my local shop got sold immediately but i think they’re sitting on a few now that aren’t moving.

Sorry I was talking about aftermarket parts

Yeah I had to cut the grips down to fit. I really like the OEM grips so wanted to try and make them work. Had a friend make the thumb rest. Still working out the details on it. Doesn’t slide lock and not sure the angle is right. Once we get it worked out he is gonna start selling them on his website.

Very nice. I’m interested in a good thumb rest

So the slide stop is a proprietary parts also ?

if I ever get a chance to handle one of these guns I be thinking about just taping it a standard 2011 pattern snd you can choose any thumbrest you want.

Very much so. Nathan Carter with Shooting Sports Innovations worked on a potential nitro fin and the gun is just so different than a CZ or 2011. Kinda bummed. Their are very very few aftermarket parts. I’d love some shielded ambi safeties.

  9. I am still waiting on CZC to finish mine. I went with direct SRO milling, full action trigger job, new brass palm swell grips from Patriot Defense painted black, etc. Trying to get SSI to make a nitro fin for it but it is totally different from the CZ stuff.

My MBX and Staccato tubes are stamped 9/38. I just looked, and the Atlas are stamped "9mm." That is interesting because this is what Taran Tactical says on their website about them.

9mm tubes work with .38 super and .38 super comp

They truly should work as OAL is very similar if not identical and the projectile is the same
