My MBX and Staccato tubes are stamped 9/38. I just looked, and the Atlas are stamped "9mm." That is interesting because this is what Taran Tactical says on their website about them.

9mm tubes work with .38 super and .38 super comp

They truly should work as OAL is very similar if not identical and the projectile is the same

  2. While it may be easy for some to do this maintenance work themselves, it sure makes me feel better to have the builder check them over once a year. I have used the SV service a couple times. So I vote that it is a good value. He may see something you might have missed.

  3. I have some 170mm Atlas mags but have yet to use them. My MBX mags run my 1.17 9mm Major easily.

Looked on the Eley site and they do not mention AOL for their 38sc ammo so you may want to measure it or call them. Do you have calipers?

You can find out the answers to #2 and #3 with calipers.

    Good luck!

Call me a little biased but the FTP Optics Alpha 3 is a fantastic, competition orientated red dot that is a great value and extremely solid performer. We run about 70 % customer loyalty meaning that someone who buys one, usually buys another :)

This is a great option. I may or may not have five of them and have yet to have an issue. Wish battery life was longer but it’s not a terrible trade off. One of my Sig Romeo3 XL optics just shipped off to be replaced yesterday and another is failing.

As a USPSA shooter, I recently switched to a Crossfire red dot and have been pleased with its performance. It offers quality and accuracy, with a durable build and clear red dot for easy target acquisition. The adjustable brightness feature is also useful. It stands out for its affordable price compared to other popular brands. I've recommended it to others who have also been satisfied. If you're in the market for a red dot sight, the Vortex red dots are worth considering.

Not sure what anyone would use the Crossfire for in USPSA?

Sounds like you have a connection to/with them. The Razor has been the most useful Vortex for what competition shooters do but window is sort of small and rarely do you see any at matches.

They are in fact OOS on Atlas site.

I may try to increase the detent depth on these PT safeties for now.

Still a little scared to DIY on this thing lol

You will do fine! Measure sixteen times and cut once :)

Have the same problem. Get the Atlas high ride safeties and Dremel the detent hole deeper. To the point where you have to use your opposite hand to make the safety engage. You'll never have an issue again lol

    Interesting solution.

The halo may be dirt.  You can get a zillion-pack of tiny plastic Q-tips off Amazon (sold for eye-lining or something), and bend one to get in there and clean.

Exactly right with the halo. Mine get that way and I clean them with a little foam window cleaner and a small q-tip.

DLC applied to a high polished slide/frame can look quite striking. If you want it fancy you could also see if the builder has relationship with any laser engraving shops that would do something custom pre-DLC so you'd have something unique.

I love that look! High polish and DLC on top.

If I recall correctly, there was a thread on here where a Honcho owner was complaining because not only did he have to pay shipping both ways to send his broken gun back for repairs, but they wanted to charge him extra to test fire it after they fixed it.  That kinda stuff does not make for happy customers.

    Ugh

I’d love you see gun guys get off Facebook.
I bet more than half of potential customers aren’t on Facebook.

I think you would be surprised. Just about everyone on this forum that I talk to on a regular basis is also on Facebook. I was shocked myself.
