Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Just received my SPS Vista Long in .38. My first reload batch to try was 8.5 grain 3N38 with LOS 123gr RNCP. Average speed was 1250fps. Next try will be with 9.0 grain to get up to PF. But is already shoots nicely. Btw I use Starline brass, OAL 32.00 mm
  2. Klinkt goed, bedankt
  3. Well, I ended up buying a new SPS Vista Long in .38. Got a sweet deal on it and could not justify buying used for that amount. It came in .38 so I will deal with that as it is. As I will maybe shoot 4 or 5 matches a year outside the club it is okay brass wise. Most what I read is that these guns run pretty okay and parts are easy to get here in Europe. Any advice on a starting load in 3N38 or 3N37 for .38 with coal and crimp dia? Greetz Bas
  4. True, but 38SC brass is pretty expensive. Not a worry for training, but for matches its a slight issue.
  5. I'm the Netherlands, parts should be doable. 9x19 2011's are hard to find second hand. You see them a lot in .38SC.
  6. A few questions as I'm not familiar with Tanfoglio. I can potentially get my hands on a Gold Custom Eric 2007 9x19. Is it still worthwhile buying one to get into open & steel? If so, where to look at to see if the condition is okay? Thank yoy for your advice. Gr Bas
  7. Must be patient, I know. And 4.5K€ buys a new BUL SAS2 UR, SPS too. They seem to be okay when you look around on the forum.
  8. I want to see if an open gun is the the thing for me. (I'm afraid it might be, love speed, tinkering and nice stuff)For that reason I want to keep the initial purchase between 2 and 3K€ for the gun and not go all out on it at once.
  9. Will do. But there is a lot of options. Love the 1911/2011 platform for the stability and great triggers. However there are also some nice fair priced tanfo's out there. I know of a Gold Custom Eric 2007 for sale, some seem to like them and some don't. Any opinions on that out here?
  10. Thx to all for the advice, much appreciated.
  11. Thanks, will do
  12. As I'm looking for and open gun but do not have prior experience with open guns I have the following question. When in good condition is an older strayer Voight 2011 like the one below worthwhile considering?
  13. Hello to All, After using the forum for a long time it became time to create an account. I'm from the Netherlands an getting good info here is not easy and this forum is a off great value in that respect. Shooting service pistol club competition and some bullseye work. This year is the year to move to more dynamic disciplines for competion like ipsc and/or steel plate. Trained a lot but no competition yet. Currently shooting a Glock 17 gen5 with dot and a Springfield 1911 .45 with irons. About to add an open gun............ Greetz, Bas
