  1. Some of my mates just started using them, I will check about results and come back to you.
  2. I never ever used a thumb rest, talk me into them ?
  3. I am buying my guns via Grauffel. His gunsmith is Sebastien, I asked about recoil springs and their formal advise: don't go under 10lbs... you will damage the gun.
  4. bad... that is, but o do they handle!! (and look good)
  5. ? and I even drive an Italian Car... they are the same with electronics ?
  6. Right Memphis, posted wrong pbRex didn't like 150... I have .120 on St. 2 (bit too low) and the Xtreme's on both limited's. Ordered .140*100 at Patriot Defense last night.
  7. Tnx! I like the height of the Xtreme though, you have any idea how high the Xtreme sights are? 150 not enough so most probably the .160 like you mentioned...
  8. pbRex, what did you not like on the Xtreme sights? Where is the Dawson better (should I change?) regards,
  9. I'll try Wednesday (range day) and let you know. Thanks for the tip!!
  10. Lower PF difficult, we need to reach a minimum of 170 in Standard Major... I am at 173 with 195gn bullets and 4,3 gn of VVN320.
  11. I hope so Atlas... all is well but I just wondered if 15 feet (and more) isn't 'strange'.
  12. Changed to .40 recently. All set-up for Ares bullets. Changed to H&N bullets and had a failure to FTF today (one out of 150) bullet was in chamber but brass hanging... Collegue said yr crimp is not good enough. So, adjusted for more crimp. Checked a factory bullet. Factory ammo is still more ' smooth' though. Should I increase crimp further? What is the best way to decide om crimp level? Feel? Compare with factory ammo? Measure??? If so, how? Help greatly appreciated! Henk
  13. So, Gun came with 3 recoil springs. Choose the middle one 12, something LBS and feels good. My Brass is flying 10 to 15 feet however, is this a bad thing? Should I reduce recoil spring? I've read that 6 -7 feet is optimal? Help greatly appreciated...
  14. Loaded them to 1.112 with 4,3 gn of VVN320. GREAT!
  15. Tested 195gr (actual weight 196,5 gr) H&N HS TC bullets with 4,3 gn VV320. Recipe from H@N website. Loaded at 28,8 mm (1.112) I got PF of 173. Very very nice!!
  16. So, My .40 Limited (green now) has a trigger of 2 LBS after tuning by Grauffel My band new Lim Custom Xtreme 9mm had 2,2LBS out of the box and after polishing one round (following memphismechanic 'excellent vids) and installing PD 15,5 hammer and PD sear spring it went to 1,8 LBS!! So far so good, in the .40 I have the Xtreme 2.0 FP which cannot be used in combo with FPB... I measured the 9mm without FPB first, then (after advise Johnbu) I polished the FPB also and to my BIG surprise: trigger pull lowered from 1,8 LBS to 1,7 LBS??? How can this be possible.... Feeling of trigger also improved... Trigger is now so light that I maybe install heavier hammer spring ? happy camper!
  17. Trigger job done... From over 2,2 LBS to 1,8 average now ? Happy!!
  18. Bladetech with Boss hanger always works Red Hill Tactical sometimes superb, sometimes a but fitting problems (might also be Tanfo QC...) I have both and prefer the RHT + Boss Hanger
  19. Loading 1,117-1,118 with 147's and 124's best result, lot's all barrels.
  20. Sorry to do this in European measures... My CZ Shadow orange (factory tuned) with the lightest springs has 1,3 kg SA... My tuned by Grauffel (Sebastian Egret, his gunsmith) is great with only 950 grams (my friend who bought same gun and did some work on sear is at 900 grams)... The new Xtreme came with reasonable nice trigger, 1,2 kg+ (1200 grams). I try to bring it down now. Need this weekend, loads of work... (pfff) did frame and slide a bit (not too aggressive) did strut hole (hammer spring hole) and plunger hole (is that the name?), did hammer... this weekend most important part (following Grauffel/Sebastien) the sear housing where trigger bar rides it.... (have to watch Memphis video's closely) already noticed huge improvements in frame/slide interaction and especially plunger ' feel' when I push it/ Will install PD 15,5 (maybe 14) hammer spring (only that 15,5 spring made my former stock 2 came alive ? ) + PD sear spring. Wondering about TRS from PD since my stock 2 felt like no reset afterwards (maybe Memphis can advise). Think I only do the sear spring from PD... Keep you posted, Saturday I try to finish. Wife complaining about blue magic spots in living room ? Daughter about some ' gun smell' I am a lousy father ? regards,
  21. actually doing it right now... installing all the Patriot Defense springs... firing pin spring, sear spring, 15,5 hammer spring... (have the 14 but doubt...) ) maybe the trigger return spring but wondering about this one also, on my stock 2 it made feel reset too soft... anyway, did some polishing, tomorrow (in-between work) the springs and some more polishing... then I get back to you! regards
  22. and need sleep but first a little bit of polishing... 2lbs+ has to go down a bit ?
