  1. I have the original drift ghost. The video quality is sufficient, but 60fps available only in 720p. It also weighs a bit too much hard to mount on ear pro and the headstrap has to be so tight that it gives me a headache if I dint remove it between stages. Battery is easily changeable, color screen, live view through smartphone and the 2way remote are the things that made me choose this one back then. I am considering a gopro session for dedicated ipsc use.
  2. I recently got an advice to push the thumbrest hard with my thumb and to push up with an equal force on the bottom of the trigger guard with my index finger. The grip should be good when you can rotate the gun in your left hand only with the said grip.I noticed a huge difference in dot bounce, the dot doesn't even leave the lens anymore
  3. Hey everyone, earlier this year I was chatting a bit in the CZ section about tuning a Shadow for open. Things happened and my budget multiplied itself and I bought this beauty as my first pistol a few weeks ago: Also for those interested, here are my latest competition vids: Only the three newest ones are with my own pistol, earlier ones are loaned guns. And my newest purchase for the MM is a UP thumbrest. I'm really liking it
  4. Thanks Seancass! I also find it extremely funny that I try to stuff the new mag in although the old one is still in!
  5. Now also featuring the results of seating the mag too good!
  6. I manage to ride my index finger on the mag strap on the second reload a lot better. I am really bad at bringing the gun up, yes. I also have been practicing that with my airsoft during off-season. The mag was like -5 on that stage
  7. I just had this last week. I was shooting a friend's Standard div glock 17. Damn that spark was intensive and LONG. I'm not sure if I am liking this
  8. newbie question: What is this flip and catch? I let the gun eject the round and I grab it from the air like a boss
  9. I too have never heard "press check" and I've been under the impression that it is "brass check"
  10. My first L2 match (second match ever) and, well, let the video do the talking I actually had this happen in the training session like 2 days before the actual match, nothing learned there. I scored 56/60 so without that screw-up I could have been quite high on scoreboard

    CZ Open

I had a little snowboarding accident a while back (had to walk with sticks for 2 weeks), got a sudden realization that I'm not immortal and made the decision to sell my motorcycle. So my pistol budget pretty much quadrupled. I was already considering a DVC open, but since it got more expensive (it is 4190€ now) I kinda lost interest. I kinda am interested in a czechmate now, but it seems to have huge problems with barrel nut failure and slide stops just snapping all the time. I am completely open for ideas. Maybe even go TS or TS Orange and just slap the bloody c-more on it. ps. trubor 3290€, CM 3640€, parrot 3999€ (not sure if it has spare barrels or not, waiting for an answer from the retailer), TS 1300ish, Orange 1942€.

    CZ Open

I am having the final paperwork done and soon I should be able to apply for a permit. In other news: My C-More has already arrived with the DAA Quinn horizontal mount and now I am trying to do research on the magazines. Apparently the 75/85 26 round mag is just a bit over 170mm and a no-go. Right now, the most viable option seems to be the stock or mecgar mags with CZC +4 pads. Any better ideas?

I did a little research and the only base sp01 I found in Finland is €19 less than the shadow and you get 2 mags instead of 3. So apparently it's a no brainer to choose the shadow

Ah, I understood that "save a little money" differently I thought that you meant that I should save a bit more to buy a more expensive gun Now it suddenly makes sense!

Hmm? What for? I dont think I've seen any base sp01's for sale around here and I really don't understand why I should choose the base sp01 over the shadow?

    CZ Open

I had already made the decision to get a cz and shoot in Prod altho I started ipsc in open last year with a borrowed trubor. Now after seeing this thread I started considering open again I plan to shoot minor so basically a near stock sp01 shadow, fitted with a magwell and a red dot, would suffice? Ps. I'm on a student budget
  17. I'm actually in a very similar situation, but so far I'm only considering on selling my (4500€) motorcycle and pretty much having to choose between a CZ open build (890€+parts and work) and an STI Matchmaster/Trubor (3400€/3300€). Either will be my first (own) pistol. I've shot my dad's CZ since I was like five years old so it fits my hand very nicely. I have no idea what the open build will weigh in, but the standard one feels nicely light and nimble. I've shot with my friends trubor for this season, I kinda like it but it feels heavy and slow. I'm not sure if its worth to spend a bit over 2000 euros in a cz build when you can get an STI for a grand more... Luckily I have the whole winter to research and decide
  18. Hello! I did register a while back (I think i wanted to see some attachments back then), but only now realized that there was a dedicated open-section here! Finnish equivalent has a lot of info too, but it's hard to find. I thought I'd activate now and couldn't think of a better way to do it than to introduce myself. I didn't properly "get in" to practical before this spring and now that I got in, man did I get in deep. A couple years back I went on an SRA safe shooters course (pretty much Finnish equivalent of 3gun) but couldn't find any places to practice and since I don't (still) have my own pistol, it is very hard to enter any competitions. So far I've borrowed a pistol (trubor) from a friend who got me into IPSC, I owe him a big thanks. Hopefully this winter/spring I'll get my first own pistol. I'm planning to continue in the open division, so there's a bit of savings to be done
