  1. I got the 140mm one I ordered in today. I'm really disappointed. The follower hangs up on the lips of the magazine and the follower is crooked. I'm going to be sending it back. I may try it tomorrow just to see if it even functions. I bought a couple Glock magpul magazines and they seem much better out of the box. Sadly they don't offer anything above 17 rounders. 2. You can always pick up shooting later when life calms down. You probably can't resume your relationship with her if you stop it now. You will have to get out of the single mindset. It's not easy. It's no longer my time it's our time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If you ask yourself the question, if push comes to shove and I am left with the decision of her leaving or me leaving shooting what would you do? If you answer her leaving then you need to not get married. I've been married 1 year and it's no joke. It's hard. Very hard. You have to make sacrifices. I'm not saying you have to give up shooting or should. But you need to ask yourself what's more important, her or shooting. Because if the answer really is her you need to show her that and you'll find you get to do things you like more. I've had this same struggle with my wife. Make sure she knows she above shooting in your priorities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just one?! I wanted to make sure they work before I stock up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Cool! Just ordered a 140mm for under $25 shipped. This will go great with my new g34 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I've been following this thread for awhile. I hope this is a good scope. I hope to have my ar built for competition in 6 months and should be able to decide on an entry level optic by then. I love vortex stuff. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Try a ghost Evo elite connector. I put one in mine and at that point had never ever fully detail stripped my pistol. Even with the spring kit, it's under $50.
  8. I very much would like my 19 to look like this. Probably my fave gun I've seen!
  9. I had several shooters tell me the same thing about the DK trigger. I have the DK trigger in my 34 and I haven't found another trigger that even comes close. It's as close to a 1911 trigger as any striker fired gun is ever going to get. Mine came not needing adjusting at all. There is zero pre travel. The trigger basically starts where the Glock wall is. Pull any more and it breaks. Here's a little video I made of it: ] Wow, great video thanks for sharing. I'm looking at getting a 34 in the near future and this looks like the way to go on the trigger if I replace the whole thing. My trouble is that a lot of the matches that I know of are IDPA based. I would want a gun that I can shoot in both. That trigger looks phenomenal. Nice gun too btw Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I have a ghost connector in my g19 that I carry occasionally. I'm not an attorney and far from it so take my opinion for what it's worth (the going rate is nothing) but I feel that a good shoot is a good shoot. If it's to the point that my gun is getting examined and stripped, I probably am in hot water already. The reality is there that using something made for competition COULD be used against me. I also feel that my attorney should be able to argue that my modifications made the gun safer to bystanders and others and made it more accurate. Some guys tinker with cars, I like to tinker with guns. I would hope my attorney would be able to paint a picture about why I did it in a reasonable fashion. I think an equally big issue with modifying a carry gun is the reliability aspect. Stock glocks are perfectly reliable out of the box. Some competition spring kits can cause light strikes, and that's not something I'm willing to risk in a carry gun. I ran 500 rounds through mine to ensure I wouldn't have any malfunctions. 11. It's time to show my newness. Why do you mount the red dot on a mount connected to the frame, instead of milling the slide and having it attached directly to the frame? Is it to assist with follow up shots and weight of the slide? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hey all! I've been reading this forum for a few weeks and wanted to introduce myself before I started posting. At this point I will just be asking alot of questions. I've never shot a competitive match of any sort. I only shot my first handgun 2 years ago, but I've become ate up with it ever since then. I just got my first reloading press about a month ago. I hope to start shooting competitions by the beginning of next year. I just had a back surgery and it's put me on the sidelines until then. In the meantime I'm just trying to learn as much as I can. Right now I have a Glock 19 that I would use to get started. I've been drooling over you're guys guns and hope to build a race gun some day. I love me some Glock and want to stay with that manufacturer in the beginning at least. I'm hoping to talk the wife into a g34 for my birthday. My local ranges have idpa/outlaw matches. I know that once I start I will get hooked. So basically I'm new to reloading and competition shooting and will be bugging you guys alot! I know the gun community is more than willing to help newbies out so I look forward from learning from you guys. I get blown away by the competition videos I see on youtube, but I know that you guys were at the same skill level that I am at one point! I've played sports my entire life and I feel that competitive shooting will feel that void in my life because I'm not able to play many sports anymore. But the most important reason I want to start shooting competitions, is because I want to become more proficient with a handgun. I carry one as often as I can and want to be able to protect my family. I love the second amendment and want to share it with those who don't have that same love for it. Anyways, that's enough rambling for now, I'll go back to viewing some threads! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
