rick t replied to benedict1's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
It will work just fine. I have a few die heads setup that way as for the die being to short just put the lock nut on under the die head not on top. Rick -

On my slow fire stuff (I shoot Service Rifle) I am using a Redding BR30 on a 550 powder die on my 650 works like a charm with RL15 all are within 2 tenths grain cutting powder or not. The proof is in the shooting. Don't forget the powder check die!!!!!!!! Rick -

I don't know about the Fed. primers. But I can tell you from thousands and thousands of loaded rounds loaded without using a flip tray or those stupid pickup tubes it is worth every penny! rick t

I was loading 45acp with win.231 when my powder check die went off. I checked the two in front of it. They were OK. that one was light, the next one was lighter, then no powder! So I dumped the powder out of the powder measure thinking a clump, boy was I wrong! There was a piece of real dirty paper down in it (looked like it had been in the powder for a long time). So I sent an email off to Winchester and got a reply that the person who takes care of that was off for a week. The next morning the telephone rang, it was Winchester and they were sending a UPS pickup for 12 loaded bullets and the paper. Two weeks later I got a check for $20 for my bullets and to buy a new can of powder- no explanation! rick t

My Barber has a pacific case trimmer and needs some pilots, did Hornady buy out pacific and if so will Hornady pilots fit or does he have to buy a new trimmer?

I was having a jamming problem with 45's in the case feed funnel. I found the fix here, so I did my normal overkill and dropped the hopper down 6 inches and made a stabilizing bar. Just got done loading 500rds and not a hitch. Happy with that I came into the house for supper and the news said first thing "Briggs found guilty of two counts of 1st degree murder and one of robbery" He took my friends gun after he was shot and shot him again with it. I hope the sentencing goes as good! Thanks for the fix and listening to my day rick t

Buyer beware at Wally World. Rifle ammo is crap! Turn up the speed on those presses and drop Q-C this is a Wall Mart run! There Remington firearms line is Remington's economy grade! Your local gun shop can't and won't carry that line, it is only available to Wall Mart! Call Remington and ask why what you got at the Mart is crap chances are they will tell you, they did me! -
I got one years ago didn't use it much. I got a deal on Black Hills 5.56 Match brass with crimped pockets, one cent a piece 10000 of the puppies! I did them all in a few weeks with it. As for how many a hour never kept track but it is the fastest and easiest way to go. You get a system and you are off and running. rick t

San_Esteban Welcome to the wonderful world of the 650. I have found if the primer fill tube is not in a strait line with the primer magazine it will flip a primer once in a while. How who knows? Rick T -
The large primer tube is also the same OD and ID as RCBS powder trickler tube. Just in case you want to make a longer tube to reach over your digital scales. rick t

I never counted them but I think 1000+ if you get to many they won't shine up. Just take a few handfuls out. And let it go back to work. rick t
