  1. Oh Good Lord....is this the ladies camp interview????? Did I look like or sound like an idiot? I need details!!! Yep it sure was the Ladies Camp Interview and no and no.
  2. Jane, Can I have your autograph the next time we shoot. You are now my favorite movie star now. I just saw you on Sighting In With Shooting USAS. Totally cool to see a freind on TV. Congrats.
  3. My Dad got one from a neighbor that didn't want it any more so he hauled it home and used it for a roof on his dog pin. Works pretty good.
  4. Thanks 3QT. Hope to see you on the range sometime. Doug
  5. "Jacob McCandles? I thought you was dead?" John Wayne: "Not hardly" That is some dialouge from the movie Big Jake. Mike....we ain't dead yet! I need to give some backgroud to my buddy Mike's post. Dave has resigned as the Indiana Section Coordinator for USPSA. He also has resigned as club president for Walbash Valley Practicial Pistol Shooter's Club (WVPPS). He served a 2 year term as Indiana Section Coordinator and I believe 4 or 5 years as WVPPS Club President. He had the opportunity during that time to lead and work with some very fine folks who greatly elevated the quality of our shooting sport in the state of Indiana. It's been an amazing thing for me to watch as his wife. I have seen Dave grow as a person because of his leadership experience. We BOTH have been changed for the good by participating in this sport and we are both so grateful for the opportunities we have had. Dave is tired. He is stepping down in some of his leadership positions so that he can have more time and energy for his family. He has lived a life (and I'm a witness) that has required him to have EVERY minute of EVERY day scheduled. That's not necessarily a bad thing but when you live that way for say....5-10 years in a row....it wears on you. I'm proud of him for making this positive change in his life. Are we getting out of the shooting sport? No. Dave has freed us by stepping down from leadership. We are now free to make choices about when we shoot. There's a big difference between want to and have to. Dave has done a tremendous service to our sport and to our club by providing his leadership over the last several years. However, we have reached the point where it is time for us to "follow the leader" and not be the leader. To every thing there is a season. Thanks for the great post Mike. You have been a good friend for many years and also have served our sport very well in the state of Indiana. We've experienced a good thing. My hope is that we ALL have planted seeds that will continue to grow. Jane your quote comes from my favorite movie. Thanks Also this sport is better all over for having the Ball family in it.
  6. Way to go Jane and David. Keep your heads above water! LOL
  7. Jane, It was a pleasure shooting with you on Sunday! I took it as a great compliment from you when you told me that my shooting had improved and that neither of us were the same shooters that we were a couple of years ago at the Max Michel training. Looking at the open scores looked like you had a really great match. Keep it up you are kicking butt.
  8. How much you want? I have plenty extra to pass around. Have been losing some here and there but still a long way to go. Jimmy Congratulations that is great!
  9. Because I know about horses please explain why if he is a paint horse he isn't white and splotchie? (Technical term) I have seen other horses advertised as paint and they were colored similar. I am just curious. Thanks
  10. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. My prayers are with you and the family!
  11. After the wife passed last year I didn't need two cars so I sold hers. Went today with the license plate to get part of my excise tax back. Was told that the BMV was going to charge me $6.00 to cut me the check. I wonder when it's time for me to send my taxes in next year if I can deduct a fee to write the government a check. Yeah right!
  12. Everyone, Thanks for your help on this! I did look at ebay and it seems that 100.00 is about what they are going for. If that is all I can get I will probably hold on to it. May look into a digital body and put this lens on it. I knew film stuff had went down in value but didn't realize it had went down that much. Again thanks to everyone.
  13. Guys I have no idea what this is worth. I bought this for my wife as a birthday present about 12 years ago. Since she has passed I really don't have a use for it. I can barely take pictures with my camera phone. I know what we paid for it but being a film type camera and everyone going digital there may not be a lot of call for this. The body is a Canon EOS Elan II E. I doubt she took 500 pictures with it but to be conservative I will say 1000. The lense is a Tamron 28-200 telephoto lense. I know that there are some professional photographers here as well as some very good non-professionals so I hope that I can get some help here. I eventually would like to sell this but I don't intend to give it away. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
  14. Atlanta Conservation Club is shooting the IDPA Classifier and POstal Match on Saturday Morning if that is your thing.
  15. Thanks to all of the staff for putting on such a well organized and fun match. The RO's were great - kept everything moving- challenging stages with several sulutions. Another excellent IN State Match.
  16. Everybody but the deer! How about mozambique deer hunting. One to the head with the open gun...two to the body with the shot gun Then everyone can be happy. Coach...you're getting all juiced about Sunday...I'm worried that you're starting to have expectations
  17. Man this class from Manny was like drinking from a fire hose. The information just keeps coming and coming and coming. It was great. Thanks to Chris and Albert for getting this set up and to Manny for sharing. If you ever get a chance to take a class from Manny DO IT!!!!!!!!
  18. I am very sorry for your loss. Remembering the good times that you had together will help you get through this time of grief. Doug
  19. My dad was a city truck driver and he saw some kids pulling the same thing. He waited until they were about to make their dash and locked up the trailer brakes and laid on the air horn. He said he didn't think they pulled that stunt again for some time.
  20. Anybody heard the weather forecast? Will we need rain gear?
  21. OK I have a reservation at the Hampton Inn. Will see everyone next week.
  22. Jake, Glad that you are on the mend. Look forward to seeing you and the foot anchor this weekend at Rielly. Hope everything continues to go well!
  23. I am staying at the Hampton Inn. I'm sure we can get together and decide on a place for dinner on Friday after the class. Tony The Hampton is a nice place. Just no skinny dipping in the pool. I'll see if I can dig up some coupons from Texas Roadhouse for everyone. Chris C. No thoughts of me skinny dipping! No one would be in class after that. It would be ugly I will give the Hampton a call in the morning. Can't wait for next weekend.
  24. Where is everyone staying? Thought if we could get in the same hotel we might be able to get together and have dinner.
