Take enough time to get an A hit on the first shot of an array entering a shooting position and the last shot on the array before leaving. Stay in the present instead of thinking ahead to the next target.

Try sticking a 6 x 6 piece of white paper on the 25 yard target and tryaiming at that. Having a more precise area to aim at may help you get started with your accuracy quest.

Also as ChaLee said earlier, shoot a minimun of 2 shots for As on the draw in live fire. You can cheat on control a little if you only go for one shot, not so much with two

Try each on the timer. Leave "feel" out of it. Go with what works best for you.

I prefer variables in both Open and Limited guns. YMMV.

If you get light strikes, polish/remove burrs from the firing pin channel. Most are really rough.

I think you'll always second guess yourself if you don't get the shorty you seem to really want. Either will work.

I think your original measurement of .196 is closer to correct. .191 would be way undersized for a slide stop!
