  1. I am in the same boat and saved up for the SP-01 Accu-shadow. I like the way it feels in my hand and I am comfortable with everything about it. I think there might be a change in the politics of my state and so I am waiting for the laws to change and get the proper capacity magazines with it. It comes down to comfort in the hand and how it handles for me. As soon as I held it and shot it I knew immediately. Everyone and everything I have read told me to be patient and try some out. I am lucky that I have a shop close to home that carries CZ and have a very knowledgeable staff with sport shooting in mind. They are die hard fanboys of 2011 but agrees CZ are pretty awesome. If you narrow down your criteria than others on here that are more knowledgeable can help. These people know a ton of stuff, way too much for me to absorb. Good luck with choosing.
  2. Thanks JJP161, I have never thought about it till now.
  3. Stupid question, how will they prove you have more than 8 lbs if it is all burn up in the fire? I have no knowledge in this subject matter.
  4. Where are you? NM? But where? I am willing to drive from Denver.
  5. Thank you everyone! There have been mountains of information to read and absorb.
  6. I received my new to me Stock II in 40 S&W. I am new to the platform and not familiar with it. Some questions: There is slight side to side play between the slide and the frame when it is battery with either the hammer up or down. Is this normal? When the slide is lock back, the barrel moves around freely. Is this also normal. This is regardless of magazine inserted or not. Thanks for any helpful information. Just very different from my Glock and H&K. Dan
  7. I have a Vltor MUR upper and an aero precision upper. For comparison, the Vltor seems stronger and the coating is slick thus making the action of the bolt a little smoother sounding. Now if it is actually smoother in movement, I have no idea. I have used BCM and Young Manu. Both sound a little different or feel a little different but I can't tell if grouping is any different. If I could have only one I guess I would choose Vltor upper but does it make a difference, nope. Barrel wise, spend some money and get a quality one. Never heard of Stretch 16.
  8. I can not find this TS SP-01 in 9mm just the 40 on czcustom. I am serious about getting a shadow target. Have one on lay away. Plan to shoot production then limited down the line. I can not afford multiple guns, should I wait? Or just get the shadow target now and later put a TS slide on, and also get a 40 for limited? My biggest hang up about the current TS is the size. It just does not fit my hands. Shadow target is a perfect fit. Any help/suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks
  9. I am new to this platform also. Question also is with the hammer down is the safety on?
  10. We do have basements. It is also very dry here. Winter humidity is around 5-15%. Would static electricity ignite powder? Excuse me if this is silly but I'm still saving up for reloading, which I think will be next year.
  11. On the fence, can you keep a tally of the cost till your first round is produce? Just curious and so I can start saving. Now I just have to stop spending the savings.
  12. Just want to introduce myself. Have been a reader of the forum for many years. Why? Long story: Went to watch a buddy of mine compete about 15 years ago at an IDPA (I think) match. Got the bug and started to practice and did the safety class. Then I got promoted at work and had to move alot. Meet a girl, had a daughter. But in my head was always that one class that I took and the memories of the match that I watch and wanted to participate. It was always this year will be the year. I always had an excuse. Some were legitimate, some not so much. I came here to read and learn. Now I am going to retake the safety course in two weeks because I finally live close to a USPSA club. I have a Glock 17 and that is about it. I can hit the side of the barn and maybe with practice will improve. It is hard to justify the financial side but I just want to do this. There is so much to learn about this. This is my journey.
