Just curious how many of you have astigmatism? I seem to do just fine with iron versus red dot. Maybe I am slower but who knows it might just be me.

I built something similar than started to change out thing to make it lighter. What change was removing pretty much what you have and putting on: Stretch 16 barrel SLR ultra lite 15 inch handguard stock non adjustable gas block Lantac dragon brake BCM gunfighter stock and grip non ambi safety and mag release or bolt catch, all standard JP SCS after all that it came out to be 6 lbs ish. Can't remember the exact weight. Future upgrades: SLR titanium adjustable BCM KMR 13 inch

Having issue with the mount. What else can I do? Should I try loctight? Or an ADM QD?

I am not getting very good accuracy out of this barrel with freedom munition 55gr fmj. I'll give it another try with Hornady. Using a Spitfire 1x so that could be the problem. I'll put on a t2 to see the difference. My bcm 14.5 with t2 is .5 moa.

No worries I didn't think you were rude and rash. I think that slide work cost more than buying a pre made slide. But I'll never know since they don't make the 35 slide for sale. At least I've not seen it recently. Thanks for the info Dan

Exactly why I want to get a price. I did not know the prices of slide work. The order sheet had most things on it except slide info. Did you bought your slide already finish or had it done. I have not been able to find a 35 slide just 34.

I think I will. I really do like the work. I just need to know the price so I can weight my options. Do I get a frame and build up or do I buy a full weapon used and build up. Or there is a seller selling of two ZEV g35 on ar15 for $1600 each. It has most but not all I want. But I can live without some of the things I want. The biggest miss was the slide cut. I like the SOCOM but this has the Defender cut. I had the chance to compare a ZEV 34 SOCOM vs a Salient 17. $1800 vs $2600. The ZEV was better in every aspect. If anyone has gone done this route , please let me know how and what you did. Much appreciated. Dan

I have been trying to get a clear answer from ZEV but the service is lacking. I want a slide for a 35 cut with the SOCOM design. The phone rep said $425 then the phone went dead. The email was no help. It had no price at all on slide cut. My question is the price including a coat? I just want black. Is there a good contact for them. I have tried both phone and email, I came away questioning myself why I would want their service. I have handled their weapon and it was fantastic.

If I may ask, what are you thoughts on building from scratch. I have been wanting to go limited but can't really decide between building versus buying a used already build. What are you thoughts on building? thanks

Has anyone tried to order a replacement gas tube directly from stretch 16 manufacturer. I guess I can always call strong side tactical, where I got my barrel from.

Everyone who can shoot out to 200 with a 1x must have really good eyes. I can't see anything. I am just getting into this and really new. I have tried to hit somethings at pass 100 and have to really slow down. My T2 dot covers up almost the entire target and then some. I can ring plates at 200 but I think paint dries faster. Eric, why change with what works? I have borrowed a Razor and demo a XTR. Both great but I can't really say it would improve my times drastically. As to which is better: Razor, less busy looking. XTR too busy. But really it is just personal. I grew up shooting a cross hair. I also like Trij, especially the accupower.

Just got mine and love it. So far about a hundred rounds down range. It was just too cold here. Very smooth with a Lantac.

Where are you? There is a local kydex builder that you can request a custom that works similar to the XST. I can drop my stock 2 off for a mold.

Taccom buffer only works with rifle buffer tube? Can I add spacers to make it work on my carbine length tube?
