  1. They had 2 big twists. They stupidly gave one away in the trailer. The other one they saved for the actual movie.
  2. What happens after you see it lift all the time?
  3. Just understand that we aren't watching your shooting.
  4. I had a good time shooting (teaching is more like it) over the weekend. I borrowed a limited gun for a run or two on a stage. I enjoyed that very much. I am seriously thinking it is time for a new gun, but I want to stay in production. Yes… I have finally reached a point I genuinely feel my gun is holding me back a bit. It took awhile to get there. New gun itch aside, my ammo stockpile is growing, my dry fire is going well, and I am ready to get going for the year. I designed a few new drills I am going to test on guinea pigs (students), so I am eager to see how that goes. I have some video from this last weekend as well.
  5. It is like you have a switch or something... from "nice" to ..... "not very nice". You thinking about getting one? I think a switch to "not very nice" would be a bit much.

  7. Yeah. It is pretty important to be hitting the .6 draw to a plate.
  8. By wide do you mean missing a paper target completely? Are you certain the problem is trigger control? It is frequently the case that people will miss the target and then think that trigger control was the problem, when in fact they aren't really certain of what the problem actually was.
  9. I just had a really good range session. I did shooting from 3 to 25 yards. I worked on bill drills, distance changes, reloads, etc. Pretty standard stuff. The downs: I need to be better at getting my grip at speed. I need to let the gun stay on longer targets before transitioning to the close stuff. Too many points down by doing that stuff wrong. I am really choppy on the hoser stuff. Since I haven’t really shot for so long this is excusable for now. As I shoot more this spring this problem should go away. The Ups: I ran the frank Garcia dot drill twice in a row at the end of the practice. I was clean both times! 72/72 hits on the dots.
  10. I FINALLY got out to shoot a little bit today. It was still really cold, so it was tough to do too much. I did get a good sense of where I am. All the winter dry fire has been paying off. I felt nice and accurate. The only shooting I have done in the last 5 months has been in classes. I got some video of one stage. So, with zero live fire practice I feel really consistent. I know that once I knock the rust off I will be in a much better place than last year. I can’t wait.
  11. PM me with your questions and I will sort you out.
  12. I got information from an FN employee (not Dave, and I am not naming this person) that he had personally seen these guns, doesn't doubt that a couple thousand have been produced, but apparently there is an issue with the gun being worked on prior to them going out the door.
  13. I really hope you are trolling, because this question doesn't really follow from the thread.
  14. If a company only produced 500 instead of 2000 but still signed the form then competitors would buy the gun. Once the truth was uncovered then removing the gun would not harm the company but it would harm all the individuals that purchased that gun in good faith. I think this is why it so important to get the approval process right the first time, because fixing it after the fact only harms the membership and sport in general. This is a key point and a reason why this problem demands a swift action from the BoD before competitors acting in good faith are harmed. Who fits this description at the moment?
  15. A specific police agency is part of the public, however, "public" should not be construed to mean a specific group such as a police agency. We need a Venn Diagram. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venn_diagram
  16. So the gun is not available to the general public, admittedly so by FNH themselves? Yeah but only because the gun is so popular... get it?
  17. Playing Devil's advocate: So if the FBI for instance orders 10,000 copies of an otherwise compliant blaster, say a gun identical to a Glock 21 but called the Glock 47, which is not available to the general public, you'd be opposed to allowing that in Production, even though 10,000 civilians are carrying it? The way the rule is written now would exclude that gun from production... wouldn't it? Not according to the current USPSA interpretation..... And I'd have trouble keeping an M9 or M11 from playing in the division when the 92 and 228 are on the list.... Do you think that interpretation is correct or not? I personally don't like that M9s are excluded from production division (as I read the rule), but that doesn't change what the rule actually says does it? I guess I don't know what the USPSA interpretation is or what the reasoning is. Could you enlighten me?

  19. Maybe the factory reps that actually fill out the forms might have some input about what on the forms is unclear to them.
