  1. But that's not what you asked... Yes the 75SAO makes a good ESP gun, I would still recommend running a DASA gun over it for flexibility sake, but it is nice. SAS have the high tang grip frame like the SP01, so they are winners. Or get a matte stainless 75B. Or at that point a shadow. If you go 75 and not SP01 you will be on the hook for base pads out of the gate however. Sent from an iDevice. Please forgive any grammatical or spelling errors. 2. I would out train the aversion to DASA. It really isn't that tough to contend with, a day at the range and 100 or so DA shots from holster and you should be good Sent from an iDevice. 4. Got an 11RS for my 75, I cannot get the slide back on with the OEM short guide rod. Works in my shadow custom... Do I need to trim it? Sent from an iDevice. 5. It's due out in march, uses two dual coil springs instead of one whateveryoucallit style spring they currently use. The springs individually are rated at over 250,000 cycles, and even were one to fail, there's another one that will keep it operational. He's really excited about it. He said it's going to be really reasonably priced as well. Thanks! The cycle life is exciting. The busted spring thing seems like it would be only for a self defense application where more trigger weight than needed is ok, but maybe I am missing something. well self defense thing or not having to manually reset your trigger should it break mid-stage as well.

  7. Just eyeballing it, that kit is comprised of: - SRS-1 (w/ 13# hammer spring) - CGW L Spring (lifter spring) - TR-PIN Floating Trigger Pin - RP-TRS Reduced power Trigger Spring - Drop in Cajun hammer kit (get the production legal version if you want to shoot USPSA, which he should swap for you gratis) (hammer & CGW adjustable sear) - T2 Disconnector - 85 Combat trigger - CGW quality grub screw for the overtravel stop - 2 HPINS - And it looks like a pair of grip screws I would recommend buying an extra hammer strut ($10) and asking him to put the hammer, disco, and strut together for you and ship it that way, which he is happy to do. I spoke with David the other day and found him very pleasant, he told me about his game changing TRS coming out.

    Is it possible

Yeah the mags won't let you go out to 1.200", out of curiosity why would you want to?
  9. I love how everyone turns this into a validation of their own opinion on what the best gun for IDPA is.
  10. Marauder is illegal in IDPA, Full length rail single action gun es no bueno. Sti Eagle is good to go.
  11. On Glocks, absolutely (for me anyway). My double action and single action guns, not so much.
  12. if you adjust that allen screw forward of the trigger guard you can get rid of the wiggle. I have been using this for a few weeks now in practice and a couple club matches. I wish it had a TekLok attachment. The paddle is OK, the belt slide makes it ride too close to the belt IMO.

  15. I've personally asked for actual weights on items continually on different things. I decided to start compiling a list of different bits folks like to use on their guns so folks can get an idea. So if you've got a kitchen scale, jump in and join the fun, if you don't, you can weigh base pads. All data points are good data points and will help people plan their set ups for events where weight is important (IDPA, Carry optics, etc). So I'll lead off with a summary. Then support with photos and every so often I'll add updated info to the summary. Methodology: Use the most accurate scale you can as accurately as you can. If there is any reason your gun would weigh different from stock, state it. For weighing guns, remove the grip panels or mag wells and just weigh the frame with slide assembly in place with the grip screws. Magazines, weigh the mag body, spring, follower, retention plate without the base plate. Updated: 1/2/16 Interesting: CZ 18 rd mags weigh slightly less than CZ 16 round mags. SP01 shadow history

So that's probably where I should have started, I did receive the box. There is a test fire target from CZUB and CZC (the guys at CZC can hold a group a lot tighter than the CZUB guys checking function) and the initial bill of sale. It is a Shadow Custom, released by them in 2010 from some shop over in either AZ or NM shipped to here. For some reason in my mind 2011-2012 was when they first started offering Shadow Customs.

    SP01 shadow history

So I traded into an SP01 shadow today, proof marked in 09. Came with aluminum CZC grips, a comp hammer, has an extended firing pin but I have not pulled it to look at it to see if it's a CZUB or CGW. Reset is super short, I am curious if it has a fitted disco or a pre-b. What are obvious signs it's a Shadow custom vs a shadow with the go fast bits added? Sent from an iDevice. 18. I have Some Slip2000 EWL and Zero Friction, but these are fairly similar and lite. I probably need to break down and get something a bit more viscous for keeping the springs going, but something is better than nothing I suppose.
  19. Supposedly the TRS is less prone to breakage so I have heard but I will let Schmecky or Stu speak to it. The cost is 50-75$ less than the equivalent 75B, so SP01s that cost the same is appealing Sent from an iDevice. Please forgive any grammatical or spelling errors. If the post doesn't make sense or is not amusing then it is technology's fault and most certainly not operator error.
  20. Uses CZ75 mags, has the upswept beaver tail, dunno about magwell, but seems like a pretty cool hybrid, anyone tried dropping go fast parts in one and how did it fare compared to a traditional FPB 75/SP01 or P09?
  21. That's definitely going to be SOP moving forward.
  22. I've heard 10k rounds but never knew if that includes dry fire.
  23. So I picked up my shiny new 75B on 12/13. Cool, new platform. Really have been putting in a lot of dry fire time, only 400 rounds in live fire. This morning, got a good firing grip, good pressure, squeeze, click/snap. Trigger won't reset. Previously I broke the FPRP on my 75 compact from dryfire with no snap caps, so i always use snap caps going forward, but 2 weeks of maybe 200 reps a day seems pretty quick for a TRS to break. So is that common? I have cajun parts on order anyway, but can I expect life cycles that short out of replacement springs if I keep practicing how I'm practicing?
  24. I don't know that they are tactical plumbers just lonely dudes living the gun world fantasy and want folks to talk to. We have 4-5 who generally are single (or might as well be) and way more absorbed in giving unsolicited advice than actually competing it seems. The good news is folks can and do graduate, shot with a dude who forever overhand racked his slide, admitting that the other way was faster, but if he was ever in a gun fight and picked up an unfamiliar gun he could reload it. I asked him where he would find the matching unfamiliar magazine. A week or so later, he stopped doing that and fast forward a year and he beat me to master. Sent from an iDevice.
