  1. It sounds interesting. Let me know how that works out for you. I expect the next version to be a bit brighter but will have to wait and see.

Once you remove the stock guide rod you can still make weight in Production. I ran a tungsten guide rod and stock base pads in Production at the Mid Atlantic championship last week.

Springer Precision now has X5 tungsten guide rods in stock. http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=443&categoryId=87
  4. The Extreme Duty Gun Oil has tacifiers that help the oil to stay in place better. You can see this by putting some in between a finger and thumb and spreading apart. You will see the oil actually string out a bit as it tries to bond. It's also slightly thicker than the red. I think the red was originally made for hunting since it has no sent. I use the red on surfaces that I have touch (so my hands don't stink) or in other areas where a lighter oil is desired. For everything else I use Extreme Duty Gun Oil or Extreme Duty Gun Grease.
  5. My X5 hung a bit if you eased the slide forward. After a bit of lube and 1000 rounds it doesn't do it any more. Swapping parts back and forth with another X5 the difference seemed to be in the slide itself.

    P320 X5 Thread

Last I heard there was a design but no ETA. Phil said they don't expect to sell the grip modules seperatly until some time next year. I felt someone's X5's grip where he was thinned out the sides. That seemed to make a big difference and had a good feel to it. I am not sure how the grip weight would be handled in other sizes since in a dedicated small there might be not be enough room to put the same size grip weight.

Someone mentioned some safariland may work but I don't have details on that. I have a Red Hill Tactical with a WRS attachment on it that I use for 3 Gun.

Try cutting one coil at a time. Easy always easy to take more off.
  9. Yes. The grip weight was in question, however.

More related to standard P320s right now but BarSto has P320 barrels now to include threaded barrels and caliber conversions. http://www.barsto.com/category_main.cfm?ID=320&cco=134

I have someone that has taken an initial look. Tungsten might only gain you a half an ounce to an ounce. Regarding the IDPA status, I haven't seen an official ruling. If they do say it has to stay out then I wonder whether you could use a stainless steel grip weight.

You can leave it in for Production. To remove it take out the FCU and I use a 90 degree punch work in between the weight and grip module. It pushes put through the top but is wedged in tight with a small strip of rubber.

The Grams spring kit should give you about plus one and the Springer extension for the 21 rounders will give you another plus one for 23 plus 1 (chambered) total.

    Sig Romeo 1

I am not sure why there would have been a second dot. It's not something I have seen on the three R1s I gave. Check to ensure the far side of the lens is clean perhaps. The R1 still hasn't hit the market sold seperatly from the complete RX guns. I think it's a solid sight that stands up to recoil very well. The battery life is very good. My only complaint is that it could be slightly brighter I think. SIG has been taking feedback and I think we can expect even better things to come from SIG. The Romeo3 are pretty easy to find. Slightly larger overall but the hight on the lens is also taller and the dot is brighter. It's holding up very well on open guns and has a five year warranty on the electronics (lifetime on hardware). Atlas makes a specific Open gun mount for the R3 that incorporates a blast shield. I actually just bought a second R3 even though I don't know exactly what I will be putting it onto yet. I just found a good deal on the ebay and knew it was worthwhile so I jumped.
  15. The reason is because I felt like you were belittling the shooter and insinuating that the ROs at no time did anything that was wrong or even that could have been improved on. You arrogantly stated in a matter-of-fact way several details which have been shown to be false from the video provided, but still offered no concession. When cornered then you shift your tactic to that of a victim, the noble RO who everyone should just stop picking on. I am very, very grateful for the ROs and CROs who work matches. I don't even have any problem with the individuals in the video; however, this seems like a good learning opportunity for shooters, ROs, RMs, and perhaps even BoD should anyone see fit to revisit current arbitration restrictions. How about we stop taking extreme sides of the ROs versus the Shooters and starting discussing the path forward to ensure more a equitable experience for all?
  16. It's okay to admit you are wrong occasionally. Anyone who has eyes and who has read through this knows that you were wrong here. Continuing to dig in just makes you look all the more contemptible.
  17. It's been interpreted differently at various NROI training events.
  18. This is my biggest problem with this entire thread and with most of Sarge's comments. Mason is in no way one of those Shooters who would try to take advantage of an RO or would who would try to claim something that was untrue in order to get a reshoot that he didn't deserve. From the very beginning of this thread you were insinuating that he was not telling the truth. That's insulting for someone who is one of the most honest shooters you will meet.
  19. Look at the same term in the definitions.
  20. He turned to run but had no where to go. It looks to take him a second to collect himself and figure out what to do then since his recovery recovery plan hit a literal road block.
  21. Watch this and tell me again about how these ROs gave him enough space, were expecting him to go back for the steel, could have outran him, or any of the other incorrect statements that you have made here thus far. He turned to run and then stopped when he saw the RO in his path. Obviously he and I the ROs were both phased by the encounter but even then the ROs didn't clear out right away. On the third try they actually got back far enough for him to get out of the that hallway. Bad stage design but it was certainly made worse by the second RO blocking the path and the first RO hanging to close when he should have known that's the shooter might be a coming back for the activator.
  22. That's not where he stopped. He ran right up to behind the shooter. For someone who insists he was there and saw this you sure remember the details wrong. Kind of gives light to how incorrect individual RO's or shooter's memory of what actually happened can be. This is exactly why video needs to be allowed.
  23. Here is a better look at the alley:
