  1. When I took my RO class in March the instructor said the NROI was aware of this typo. -Jake
  2. I use the Gen 3 adapter on my Gen 4 35 with no other backstrap. Works great for me. -Jake
  3. I shoot a Norinco 1911 in .45 with 185s at 170 PF and a PARA 1911 LTC (aluminum frame) in 9mm with 124s at 130 PF. Recoil feels about the same to me. Both guns have full length stainless guide rods and EGW oversize firing pin stops with no radius. I assume the 9mm would have less percieved recoil if it was a steel frame. -Jake

    Gen 3 or 4 34?

I prefer the Gen 4 for the smaller grip. Handle both and figure out which one works best for you and buy that one. -Jake
  5. I shoot a PARA LTC and use the PARA 9mm magazines. They've been modified to hold 10 rounds and work without issue. I also retrofitted a PARA mag with Tripp guts and it works great. The last time I tried Wilson Combats I had to download to 8 to get them to run reliably. -Jake
  6. Clearing guns when people are down range is tomfoolery that I won't tolerate. I'd be packing up my stuff and leaving and wouldn't be caught at another one of that MD's matches. -Jake
  7. What are your eyes/head doing when you transition? When transitioning you want to move your head first, pick your spot on the target you want to hit, and then drive your gun to that point. Retracting the gun if you don't have to is wasted movement. I've found Steel Challenge to be a great way to practice target transitions. -Jake
  8. Removing the magazine doesn't do or mean jack if you don't show clear before dropping the hammer. By your own admission this was a negligent discharge. Count your blessings and work on your gun handling skills so it doesn't happen again. -Jake
  9. Reload it until it splits.
