  1. Interesting. I've never seen that before. Is the idea to help with muzzle rise?
  2. Really? MUST? I have had excellent results with CCI Blazer and Speer lawman factory ammo. My reloads have been with Remington pistol primers. Still no FTF or light primer strikes. The key, I believe, is to use a lightweight striker. But what do I know? lol......same here....what do I know..... I said MUST use federal or win. not meaning it's not going to work at all without them but rather you will have much better reliability using a light primer with the 4# spring. This is not based on personal experience. I haven't even tried the 4# spring. It's just based on what DK has recommended..... No worries. And for the record, I agree with you that Federal primers are easier to ignite that most other brands.
  3. If anyone can get the issue solved, it is you. Best of luck. Please keep us informed as to what you learn.

  5. I use a skelontized striker with my #4 spring I've yet to have a FTF or a light strike.
  6. +1. I'll add that I prefer the orange Trijicon HD sight over the yellow.
  7. Yes, but I don't care for them personally. They seem to keep me from getting my grip as high on the gun as I can without them.
  8. Gen4, G34 ISMI 13 lb. Spring on a Jager steel guide rod.
  9. I would have gone with the Jager striker, but he's out of stock and won't have them again for a few months.
  10. 4000 147 gr. X-treme bullets are in the mail. Just picked up 8 lbs of titegroup (1st pistol powder I've seen in a long time). I have plenty of brass and 6000 primers on hand. Hopefully I can get some reloading done next week.
  11. I had the same experience with my stock trigger after polishing it. A Glock armorer put some grease where the trigger bar and the connector make contact (I'd wiped it all off after polishing it). Gun has worked perfectly since then (1000 rounds). Regardless, I switched to a Vanek Classic and it feels much, much better.
  12. 147's for my G34 and my son's XDM 5.25. Just picked up 8 lbs, of Titegroup...so I don't know the charge I'll b using just yet.
  13. Dawson Precision sights Vanek Classic trigger (and springs) Zev Skeletonized Striker Jager guide rod 13 & 15 lb. ISMI springs What am I missing?
  14. Shameless plug here, but I bought Ben's book "Champion Shooting: Guaranteed Results in 15 minutes a day: Vol.2." The book has an excellent training plan with time goals that give you an idea of where you want to be. If you have the desire to get better, but you are wondering what to do next...you will find this book to be invaluable.
  15. Hello. I've been lurking around this sight for several weeks and decided it is probably time I introduce myself. Here, on the forum, I go by AD. I'm working and going to school in AZ. I've been around guns my entire life, but I'm new to competition shooting. In fact, I shot my first match a couple of weeks ago. It was the "Intro to Steel" match at Rio Salado Sportsman's Club, run by TGO himself (and his better half). It was a blast and I found Rob and his wife to be fantastic people...in fact, all the people I met were great. I'm also interested in 3-gun competitions and I'm in the process of getting all my gear together for that. Lastly, I'm a reloader, but I'm new to 9mm and .223. Which is what I will be shooting in competitions. I look forward to meeting you at the range. AD
  16. I have a 26, 19, 17, and a 34. I don't anticipate getting anymore at least not anytime soon. I suppose if I did, I'd go with a 41.
  17. 117 grains in my 30-378. Best powder, accuracy wise for my rifle, and I've tried H1000 and US869.
