  1. Of the shooters using a .38 , any observation on the numbers of short colt vs. special
  2. Great match! Well worth the drive and the hour trafffic delay on the way home results posted ?
  3. Thanks, Chad. Special thanks to Dan and his staff. The match was well planned and well executed. Stages were some of the best I've ever shot. Had a great squad as well
  4. Stop and spring seem good. The cylinder lead-in grooves are very shallow. That seems to be a factor in the skipping issues. We tried a different cylinder, it didn't skip. looking at the hand, it doesn't seem to push the cylinder up all the way till it locks. Sometimes the cylinder barely rotates.
  5. One of the local revo shooters bought a used 5" that was found to have sticky charge holes. He sent it to Smith for repairs (new cylinder), which took over three months to get resolved. After the gun was returned it has more issues than ever, 1. skip chambers is in town and 2. under dry firing, fast or slow, the cylinder won't "carry up" to the next charge hole consistently. I think the skipping is an easy fix, but the cylinder not advancing is another story. He doesn't want to send it to Smith unless its absolutely necessary. Any body have a solution or a gunsmith that resolve the carry up issue?
  6. The 2010 match is going to be on Shooting USA tomorrow night according to an email from the show
  7. Add one more revolver--I'll be giving my app. to Chris on Sunday at M'burg.
  8. Hopalong just sent me this digital photo of the microwave dish his crew finished installing today. (It's the top one in the photo, in case you were wondering.) Looks great Sam, hope the alignment job goes well tomorrow. I'm afraid that Mike has uncovered a part of Rodney and Sam's new high tech "bore cleaner" still. Everyone be very very careful of any free drinks from those guys Friday.
  9. Application is going in the mail tomorrow. The wife and I will be at dinner on Friday as well
  10. + 2, The wife and I will be there

If one of the others can't do it I'll bring them back. I'm driving and will be able to give them back to you at MRPC or sooner if you need them. I'm all packed and ready to go. I'll be leaving at O Dark thirty to get there early enough to get a look at the stages. See ya'll there. Good luck--
  13. Results are on ICORE.org. Bagakis looks to have won limited
  14. I'll be a walk up registration if I make it. Then to top it all off, my SDB does't want to work-minor factory ammo is probable
  15. Sounds as if 38 super is the way to go. I'm going to try Bill's recipe. Thanks for the replies. Phil
  16. I had a 686 rechambered to 9x23 etc.., and I want to try 9 major. just looking for some advice on the subject, in particular reloading info. I realize I can shoot 38 super at major pf (Bill Nesbit has great thread on that subject). FWIW shooting factory 9mm is going well and accuracy hasn't been a problem.
