Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I have a Crossbreed for my Stock 1. I also have over for my M&P Shield that gets used daily. Great holsters, awesome company. The Tanfo stuff is under EAA. https://www.crossbreedholsters.com/supertuck-iwb-holster.html Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  2. Yep, I would Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  3. Or just load 10mm to minor power factor. It's a real pussy cat in a heavy 10mm frame. A 180 grain plated bullet moving about 750fps has proven accurate and very mild in recoil. Only reason I can think of to do this, though, is if you only want one gun, but want to carry it in the woods AND shoot competition with it. I shot 3 gun with mine until I could afford a dedicated 9mm upper. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  4. You won't even need different mags. I have shot 40 out of my 10mm with no modifications at all. It was pretty reliable, but I had occasional issues with pierced primers, I assume from it headspacing off the extractor instead of the case mouth, allowing the primer to back out slightly. There is extensive testing showing this to be viable in 10mm Glocks, but it seems less so in the Tanfo. Swap the barrel and recoil spring, and you're good to go for sure. 5. The Stock 1 has an adjustable rear sight. unless it's been changed to an aftermarket option, you should just be able to adjust the rear sight. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks, those were my thoughts, and I couldn't think of any good reason to add complexity... An administrative reload and a tactical reload are the same thing, in my understanding. All it means is that you have fired your weapon, and that you want to "top it off" with a fresh mag to be ready in case a new threat appears. This is only done if the immediate threat appears over, and you usually hang on to the partial mag instead of just stripping it. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  7. I've been dry firing and practicing speed reloads a bunch lately, and was reading some articles on both, and ran across some info suggesting safety on (for single action semi autos) during all reloads. I have never turned my safety on (Stock 1) during a speed reload, and can't think of a good reason to. If I'm doing a tactical/adminstrative reload with a round in the chamber, I flick safety on, as I'm only doing that if there is no immediate threat and I'm off target. But in an emergency/speed reload situation, my gun has either just gone "click" or is locked back empty. My thoughts are on strip mag, draw new, insert, rack, and back on target to reassess threat, then, and only then, safety on, low ready if threat eliminated. With the Stock 1, you can't rack the slide with the safety on and hammer down, as it locks the hammer. Is there any good reason to add mid reload safety manipulation to my reload practice regimen? 8. Mine loosened up 3000 rounds ago, but hasn't gotten any worse. If it bugs you, you can put it in a vice and stake it like an AR gas key... Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  9. Nice! thanks for doing so much legwork for us all! working great now.
  10. I'm planning on picking up a 40 S&W barrel for a 10mm Stock 1 to use for 3 gun. From what I've read, the standard 10mm mags I have should run the 40 just fine. What weight recoil spring should I use for 40 minor loads? Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  11. Ok, thanks guys. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  12. Just ordered for my stock 1, and threw in the extreme da trigger... We'll see how this goes. Anyone know the thread size and pitch for the over travel stop on these? Me current trigger doesn't have one... Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  13. That's fairly common with many different semi auto handguns. Some do it, some don't Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  14. Just wondering if this (9mm barrel in 10mm slide) can be made to work, or if a dedicated 9mm slide would be required. Specific model is a Stock 1. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  15. Happened on my stock 1. I took it out, put red lock-tite on the dovetail and screw, then tightened it down. I then took a dowel and some 220 Sandusky and sanded it smooth. 500 rounds of 10mm later, it's still tight, and no issues. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
