  1. If i had cash to blow you Know i would have both. Probably a TRR8 for minor like yours. But New 625s arent exactly cheap and TRR8s are a freakin boatload. Also not entirely a fan of the whole short colt thing. When i try to learn about it it kinda rattles my mind a little.
  2. Upright, Bullets back, Bout 8 o'clock. Beercan grip it.
  3. I would recommend the Streamlight TLR1 or the WML would be two good choices. The WML would win out in my opinion being its made for rifle use and the switch is much more ergonomic. Especially if a HSP WML with the thorntail 45 degree mount.
  4. Ive got no pictures but after holding Dustin Ellermanns TTI glock 34 i was blown away. Untill then i could not believe that stippling could get that consistent and that agressive without being abrasive. if that make sense. It was freakin awesome.
  5. Im considering a S&W 625JM as my first competitive wheelgun. For both ESR and USPSA revo. Is there something else i should consider instead? Is there a better or cheaper choice? I already load 45 so that is one big factor pushing for the 625.
  6. The same thing happened to mine and freaked me out as well. However 2K later the flaking is gone and there isnt any unusual wear. Has taken on somewhat of a brass/bronze color. But still working fine.
  7. Abomination seems like a very harsh word Atlas. But that does sound pretty difficult. I have thought about the EAAs quite alot i know youre a huge fan of them. In a dedicated 3G pistol the small frame wouldnt matter as much but i was wanting it to be a limited gun also. Get a 40 and just have 9 barrel and accompanyments.
  8. I am heavily...Heavily considering the TS for my new dedicated 3 gun pistol. It is a mindblowing gun. My strange question however is. Can the trigger be made heavier? It is absolutely incredible as it comes however to me it would seem that going from a 7 pound shotgun trigger to a 4 pound rifle trigger to the TSs sub 2 pound trigger would be difficult. Is it possible to double the trigger weight of the TS? up it to 4 pounds or somewhere close to that. That i know of ive never seen anyone else ask about doing this and i figured if there is anyone with the knowledge it is all of yall on here.

    CZ Open

The final TS based one. with the mini dot and two port comp im fairly sure was at one point either a prototype or pre production factory model. Intended for IPSC modified when it existed. The only place ive ever seen anything about it was in the blue book of guns or the book of firearms values. Ive always thought it was just the coolest mad max robocop looking something. Wanted one or a copy since before i even knew what CZ stood for.
  10. Apart from the previously mentioned safety issues one thing that i noticed was although your grip was mostly proper from the draw (though a little lower on the backstrap than i prefer) after every mag change it shifted further up and occasionally around. as well as inconsistent offhand placement after the mag seating.
  11. http://czcustom.com/cz75-extended_base_pad_long.aspx With this and proper spring and follower combo you should be able to get 23ish in 9mm.
  12. G34 an 17 slides weigh within .1 of an ounce of each other. And have the same slide travel length. Easier to make major in the 5.3. However the weight out front will be slightly greater due to leverage. However. Its only .75 of an inch.
  13. Mine also were just a little high. About 2 inches at 25. from 17ish yards and in they are dead on. I also like a wider rear notch which the warrens give and the TTIs do not.
  14. 17 and 34 are identical frames and use the same mags. Which will also fit the smaller guns. 19 and 26 As far as holsters go. For 90% of holsters. The only thing that determines which model they are for is the closed slide end of the holster. A 34 holster will hold a 34, 17 and 19*. An open ended holster will hold all of them.
  15. YKYAS when, while watching a cop show(dont remember which one). You spend 15 minutes re winding and getting your shot timer start just perfect so you can see how "fast" the police officer can draw his pistol. While standing in surrender position. On an indoor range. Had to turn my subwoofer way up and shot timer sensitivity up too. Ended up being ~2.70 +-.20
  16. The way our bodies work its nearly impossible to perform a reload with the gun pivoting perfectly on the barrels axis. Your arm would have to be perfectly straight to not elevate the muzzle. Both a non ergonomic and inefficient thing. Both of which are terrible for what we are trying to do. I hate to say it but i dont have any idea how to get the muzzle lower without either redesigning our bodies or the gun. Both of which are unfeasible.
  17. Increasing the slide velocity May increase ejection. This is not an issue of ejection distance it is a matter of ejection consistency. The make of the ammo will does not matter if your extractor is not gripping properly. The gun "breaking in" will not fix a malfunctioning extractor. You can try changing your extractor out for a different factory glock extractor. Or you can buy an Apex failure resistant extractor and call it a day. A good source of information on this topic is Hilton Yam (of 10-8 performance) he has several blog posts on this topic at his website http://modernserviceweapons.com/?p=4296
  18. If you remove that chunk of steel and replace it with the aluminum of an RMR they come out very similar in weight. Long talking with Doug from ATEI and stephen pineau about milled in RMRs As far as the topic of the thread. Being its a steel gun and not a USPSA gun. Tracking the dot for multiple shots in a steel gun is much less important compared to the weight of the gun and consistently finding the dot. Which is very similar to an iron sighted gun. Which may or may not matter to you. Depending if you're used to iron sights. Me being very used to irons and wanting to have both dot and iron sighted pistols with no presentation differences. The slide mount is the choice for me.
  19. Im already getting some and ive only had the gun for 5 weeks. I wish there was a picture of that gun.
  20. I have recently learned due to my post in USPSA/ISPC rules. The dot is illegal in prouction. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=190161
  21. On mine the magwell is already chamfered as it comes out of the mold. the only place it could really be worn down is the trigger housing channel. Any thinner around the sides or front and it would have no structural stability. Literally paper thin. Maybe old glocks are less cut away inside the mag well from the factory.
  22. Careful there -- Amidon has ruled in the past that a magwell that was incredibly beatup from reloading practice on a Glock rendered the frame illegal for production due to wear, IIRC...... How did that go? he wore it so much it turned into a Dawson Ice magwell? I dont fully understand how it wore so hard it did could make it illegal.
  23. Or you could practice reloads and not worry about shooting open minor with a production gun. Well i mean i have been making myself hit 50 perfect reloads every night before i let myself go to sleep. I guess i could bump it up to 75?
  24. Well that kinda sucks...i guess its going to have to come off.
