  1. I try this today with Dry Fire, grip hard, drive gun target to target while proper breathing is hard and of course you add movement and you create tremors. I guess overtime you will develop this grip hold stamina with proper breathing, I'm not there yet, maybe someday.
  2. I have always wondered, this info will take my reloading to a new level. Sometimes we want shortcut and often times it rarely results in gain. We need to put some work into it. I
  3. How do you guys determine what your gun like in terms of bullet weight/ accuracy combo? My 75 Shadow well broken in likes it heavy 135-147gr projectile, but my newer Sp01 Shadow still is finding its way, how many rounds do say a gun is broken in? I think i just need to load a few 115, 124, 135, 147 to test for accuracy. What do you guys think, what is your process?
  4. I have similar load BC 135gr 3.6/3.7 N320 @ 1.12 nice recoil. Will be doing accuracy comparison this weekend.
  5. Get Cz rear sight pusher better than banging at the range, must have tool IMHO. Mine came off center, maybe from shipping/packaging. Happy shooting

    Rear Sight Offset

Mine slides off and I was doing load development my shots were high left and it was brought to my attention when I ask another experience shooter. So I check my other CZ and lol they are all off center:( bought me rear sight adjuster and a used CZ case to protect it from backing around my range back( my theory as to why my sight are off ) Now I jut need to zero all of them, beat hammering drifting in the range. Don be surprised if it shoots POA POI but rear is still off center, if your OCD it will bother you.
  7. Which bullets?Im using Extreme 135 grain round nose flat points loaded to 1.110, 3.9 grains of N320 and im getting 129k power factor which seems a little low out of a CZ shadow. Bear Creek
  8. Early morning on weekend when there is no match. I like another posting here load up bunch of competion ammo and then practice ammo and your good to go.
  9. I was in same boat, shooting before sights are up, I felt like I just need to go fast. Finding the balance between speed, slowing down look at the front sights and trigger with out moving the gun on the move is a work in progress for me.
  10. I load them with WSF @ 4.2gr with 1.125 off CZ
  11. 124 Berrys HBRN 4.0 Titegroup @1.140, very accurate.
  12. How about Black Bullets, Bayou 135gr?
  13. Need load Info combo N340 135gr Bear Creek for 9mm Minor Production
  14. I'm reloading the very same thing BC 135gr @ 1.135 with 4.5gr WSF have not chrono it yet but it felt good will do a final test in the morning. The mark is indeed from the puller. I do noticed that BC has some imperfections but that won't affect accuracy.
  15. Mike, looking good! I can't wait to see it in action. Are you shooting any DAP event?
  16. I have started visualizing with my trigger reset with front sight focus at first, and have move on to my built cof dry fire just to get use to seeing and putting myself in the actual action. It was blurry at first and I think it has became clear as I started some reps. The hope is to get used to it as part of my whole process, I have learned and will continue so with refinement that will work for my skill set/speed.
  17. Wow, you just describe my plan that I have practice prior to last sunday match. After I read the COF, I did my walkthrough starting front to back and went to simulate the physical dry part and visualize it slowly then at speed. I have notice some folks shoot the farther target first and they get faster with closer target. Then I tried it myself only to have a Mike. I have been practicing specific skill daily reload, trigger, movement, entry and exit and was surprised that it all came together smoothly last sunday. Now I will set my dry fire target with a precise round count and a very specific reload spot and will run it at a very deliberate pace. Wow! guys thank you for all this advise, fundamentals are not just grip, trigger, sight pic/alignment but also might include stage planning, proper breathing and the efficiency of movement. The way I practice has/have change dramatically, it both precise and measusrable.
  18. NICE, yeah, you're getting it dude. Keep it up. I read this post on Pistol Training a couple week s prior to my match, this was an aha! moment for me. My practice/ dryfire is more skill specific now meaning I practice draw, trigger, sight tracking, movement separately. I was surprise that it came together smoothly during last Sunday's match. My round count is now less and have been practicing sight tracking and grip with proper breathing during live fire. I will maintain this approach moving forward. ....
  19. As a newbie could you guys tell me the how, why, why not, where of stage planning/breakdown. I shoot production so l need to be efficient in my game plan.
  20. Don't go slow. Be patient. Yes. Be visually patient. Wait to see what you know you need to see to confirm that each shot hit the target. That was HUGE for me. I have shot 5 USPSA local match and I'm starting to see my front sight and have also incorporated some visualization after reading some post here. Being visually patient and shooting with this kind of speed per your sight is my goal. As a newbie I feel like I'm rushing sometimes. Nice info, I have been focusing on basic fundamentals, shooting from bench, trigger control, grip strength and breathing.
  21. Plus one here for Decocker version! I use it for my dry fire, reload and other non live fire drill and as my back up , and use my Shadow for matches.
