    Supermarkets

Supermarkets A new supermarket opened near my house. It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain. When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh mown hay. In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, And the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread & cookies. I don't buy toilet paper there any more.

Today's training consisted of Movement Drills. It got pretty hot quick since I didn't get out early enough so I thought I would work more this afternoon! Again a bit rusty and I see what I need to focus on.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoHulxSa5oE

Here is a video of today's practice- Draws and shooting on the move. Beats the heck out of dryfire! It gives you the goal of hearing the "ding", even if you don't need to hear it to verify your hit. And the feedback from the gun is there.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykvP4hL3hwc
  6. Very nice video Jay Rock. Not to sound rude but you can see a difference in the ummmm..... in the age and attention to instruction. My 5 year old boy loves shooting an airsoft but he doesn't retain alot. It's great spending time with your kids shooting. Some of us get so busy at work we don't spend enough time with our kids. Chris C. Yeah- I will have to work on that too. I have more footage of working with Cheyenne, but trimmed to fit the song. They all are listening and understand what ever I am telling them- so I think they all have the capacity to learn. I worked overtime last night so Brittany is really bummed that we don't have time to go out and practice with the airsofts today! They get addicted to shooting about as fast as adults!
  7. Looking good- very nice start! I would upgrade to a 650, but I have invested so much in my 'lil blue SDB that I would have to invest too much into changing now....

Well good luck Jim and hope you get better soon. Don't push it and heal properly bro!
  9. Here is a video of my three kids today...we have a long way to go, but the important thing is that we treat these airsoft guns as though they are real guns and I stress safety constantly with them. This is essentially the first time I have worked with Tristin and Cheyenne, but Brittany has had a little more time behind the trigger. I think the age really depends on what others' have mentioned above. Start them off with airsoft-, move up to a .22 then a 9mm or something. That is what I am planning on doing anyway.... Good luck with what ever you decide! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgz8BolUt64

One thing that strikes me about this is how much you have to move your body to get to your mag... there is a lot of wasted motion therre. Have you thought about getting the mags out a bit, or is there anything you can do to limit all that body movement? Yeah I noticed that too- I will have to look into that. The airsoft I am using is a double stack without magwell and I am currently shooting single stack. I will have to get a skinny airsoft gun and put some spacers in the mag pouches. Videoing really does help not only learn what needs to improve, but what is going right. So far I am having alot of fun though! Hey Chris- I feel for ya, but you are way ahead of me on practice! I need to catch up!! Let me know how things go with fixing your other two air-guns....

Well it took me quite awhile to get back into shooting and training. But I am getting back into the saddle with some airsoft practice on a mock steel challange setup to brush up on transitions. I am a bit rusty so cut me some slack guys and gals! Let me know what ya think though.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DRhMA3U2cI
  13. Definitely a great group of folks mentioned. I have had the extreme pleasure of sharing company with Damon and others mentioned and must agree with the comments mentioned above!
  14. Just built a bench in the new place......Complete with a Bose sound system!
  15. Hey bro- you should stop by if you make it this far south!
  16. The kids went to see it last week and thought it was a great movie.
  17. The end of the rainbow appeared to be in Meadow Lake- No pot of gold there, just alot of pot!
  18. Back when I was station in Beaufort I don't remember there being much! But this Palmetto Indoor Range in Hardeeville would seem to fill the void: http://www.palmettoindoorrange.com/ The Summerville Range would be about a 3 hour drive from Hilton Head.
  19. Manzano Mountains get rain- we get a rainbow....

    New nail gun

My new Nail Gun, made by Dewalt. I have really gotten into the tool thing since I started remodeling my house. This is the neatest tool I have gotten in some time. Not only practical for framing, etc, but it is also useful for detering those few thieves who believe that extra lumber or tools laying around are free for the taking. It can drive a 6-D nail thru a 2 X 4 at 200 yards. This makes construction a real breeze you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence. Just get the kids to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back, relax with a cold diet Coke , when they have the board in the right place just fire away. With the hundred round magazine, you can build a fence with a minimum of reloading. Available for a little more is the "band-aid magazine" for those near missing when fence building.
