There are some amazing views out here and I haven't even been to the really scenic places yet! All I need to remind me of why I am here is to walk out on the back patio and take a look. This picture was taken shortly after dusk. What is weird is that there is sometimes a 2nd "moonrise" around 10:30 pm. I think all the aliens are down by Roswell though.

Yeah this is truely a job that is what you make it. Some things are gonna happen beyond your control, but alot can be nipped in the bud.

Out here they issue stab proof vests and OC spray. That helps, but ultimately the safety comes in experience and how you handle the situation. Thanks for the support everyone.

I managed to achieve two certificates of achievements while attending the academy, but glad the eight weeks are over. I am working in one of the largest prisons in the state, housing around 2300 inmates. Did a cell entry on a "cutter" my first night on the line, so got broken in quickly. The family and I have settled in Los Lunas, NM right next to Manzano Mountains. Beautiful scenery. Now hopefully things will settle down so I can get back to shooting! Backyard view of our new place....

I just got a Samsung Alias from Verison yesturday as a matter of fact. So far I like it!

I personally would go with the Eagle. I went from a G35 to an Edge and found it to be too heavy for my liking. So I bought a lightened slide gun with a short dust cover and really liked the balance. But my scores were better with the Edge. I am looking into getting another Limited gun. And when I do, it will be an Eagle in either a 5" or 6" configuration with out any slide cuts. JMHO

Once I get settled and am able to devote some time to playing with videos more, I think I am gonna try some other formats. Til then, I will have to muttle through!

Yeah- I know!! I can't dryfire or anything at the academy all week, because it is on state property and has level 2 inmates running around. And the weekends are devoted to matches and getting things done like getting driver's licence, bank account and house hunting! I will get there again after my 8 week academy is over.

I am still using windows movie maker. I just had to use a free program to convert a friends video, because windows doesn't want to use quicktime video. My hat cam and Sony use a more windows friendly format. My friends camera is a Nikon.

I am shooting a STI Spartan in SStk. I am still having some issues that I haven't had time to really work out due to attending the academy up in Sante Fe. But hopefully I can make some progress today. Nancy- thanks for the kudos and I don't mind the nickname. I have been called "snake hips" a time or two also! Jay & Damon- thanks also for the kind words.
