  1. If you get that gun to shoot let us know. I would be interested to see if the barrel replacement does the trick. Mine that wouldn't group would also shoot WAY to the left. I had to move my sight so far to the right it looked horrible and my OCD self couldn't live with it. It's was from one of the places that tunes them up and puts all the goodies on them so they ready to go when you get them out of the box. But it sucks when you spend all the extra money and the sights are all jacked up.
  2. These guys are right it is a awesome powder for nine miner. The loads I run in my open gun when shooting steel challenge is 4.7 grains with a 115 grain extream HP or a 124 extream and 4.5 grains of W231/HP38.
  3. The more people that watch our sport the better as far as I'm concerned because they can see that we aren't a bunch of gun toting hillbillies like the media makes us out to be. It also shows them that guns can be handled in a safe way and that guns aren't BAD.
  4. I had the same problem with a STI in 9mm. But my other gun also a STI in 9mm loved the load the first gun hated. Long story short I sold the first gun. But I couldn't get anything to shoot very well. I have another edge on order and hopefully this one shoots better. But I have to say my Trubor and RangerII both in 9mm are tack drivers with both plated and jacketed bullets.
  5. I would have to say Mountain Men with Charleston Heston.
  6. With the price of components I think 9 major is the only way to go. It's nice not having to pick your brass up if you don't feel like it.
  7. Guys I'm a tig welder by trade that owns a gun store. I weld the stainless spacers to the mag bodies and they never come loose and I polish them when they are done so they look like they are milled from one piece. Do do this for 25 dollars per mag if anyone is interested.
  8. Does she have any sisters? :-)
  9. Lifeislarge, you are a class act and I wish more guys like you would have that kind of attitude. If the RO's call was right or wrong it doesn't matter but your attitude was RIGHT! We all are out there to have fun and enjoy the shooting sports and keep each other safe. It could of happend to any of us. We aren't going to when a million bucks or a new car. So live, learn, keep your head up and have fun. Matt. I appreciate you addressing the issue but really, it's a non-issue. In my mind, it's long over. You guys put on a good match up there and it's too bad the weather changed so fast and nobody could hang out afterwards. I'm sure we'll be making the trip again soon. Thanks.
  10. Kneelingatlas, if your shoot is close to me I would love to come shoot and help you run it. We always run big bore hand gun for the main match and a TIP event for the 22s and 9mm. It keeps it nice and simple. The rim shoot against each other then the other minor calibers shoot the tip. Then for the main even and the real fun the pins are placed on the front of the table and you better shot something with some thump. 357 mag with 230 grain sledge hammers, hot 45 acp, 44 mags or what is the norm for a real pin match. It's the most fun that you can have with your cloths on and it's cheap to get started and shoot. Show up with a gun and lots of ammo and your ready to go. No need for fancy holsters and mag pouches. It really does separate the games from the shooters because there's really no way to buy speed on the pin table. You have to shoot fast with pen point accuracy to be at the top. Good luck! Matt.
  11. A very good old timer once told me FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT. AND YMMV but I know that it has helped me be a better shooter. You will get a lot better hits and it shouldn't effect your speed.
  12. Thanks Herky, I'll put the dates on my calendar! How far is Holland from Fort Wayne?
  13. It would be great to find a good pin shoot again. I was only around the last few years of Second Chance and that place was heaven on earth.
  14. I use Montana Extreame and it works great, but don't use it in the house. The ol lady will divorce you. Your dog will die and the neighbors will think your cooking meth. But I love the stuff.
  15. Thanks Airdale, I will call him today. I've been looking everywhere and have come up empty handed. What style of holster is it?
  16. If you find a match and shoot them once you'll be hooked. I don't know why more clubs don't shoot pins. It really does improve your shooting and I love the fact it has a built in power factor that there no way to get around.
  17. I'm looking for a holster that fits a 41 that has a Burris Fastfire on it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  18. I love shooting pins but the sport has almost died here in northern Indiana. The best combo I have found is a 230 grain lead sledge Hammer bullet out of my 627 PC at about 900fps. That combo is hard to beat!
  19. I wondered about that also. I'm trying to be cheap and not have to buy another frame right away. I just bought a 41 and really like it but want the feel of my open gun. Maybe I should of just bought a dedicated 2011/22. I mainly shoot steel. Was under the impression it would not work on a frame that had been cut for a fully supported barrel.
  20. Ok perfect. Do you know if the factory STI mount will work if I take the sights off?
  21. I'm looking to put a STI 22 conversion on my 9mm major Trubor. I was wondering if any of you have done this and if it works with the mount and Cmore. And I'm kind of curious how far off your point of impact was if it did work. Thanks for you help in advance!
  22. Does anyone know where I can get a holster for my Mod 41 that will work with a Burris fast fire mounted on it??
