Think I'm going to have to look at something Gas operated, with a 24" barrel and go for something light weight!

What length barrel is that she is using? Only asking as my lad keeps on at me about having a go but he is very slightly built and has no upper body strength.

Well I'm glad that's not a job you have to do very often and hopefully not for a long time now there's a Benelli one in there now. I have to say it's a total pig of a job! Note to anyone changing one use a 1mm punch jewellers watch type or similar, I pretty much destroyed the old pin getting it out!

So smaller punch and keep trying it is then!

I'm trying to change the extractor in my Versamax to a Benelli M2 one and I can't for the life of me get the pin out. I know it's offset but I can't even see half of the pin through the top hole? Any ideas on how the hell I get it out?

Cheapest synthetic engine oil you can get hold of! Don't put any oil near the gas cylinders/pistons they should be installed dry!

I just hope the new slimmed down forend will be exportable to the UK as I'd be interested.

Looks very Tacticool, don't know how practical it might be! I smoothed out the forend on my Versa to ease quad loading but if it's the width/bulk then it may work.

I understand what you are saying but in my case I'm very restricted on what shotgun I shoot due to shoulder injuries. The only gun I've found that shoots soft enough is the Versamax. So I'm stuck with making it more a Remelli than a Remington.

By that notch, do you mean the extractor cut?

It's the on that comes on the factory tactical and competition models. I have one on mine and it works fine and gets rid of the dreaded prongs of death!

What quantities do you mix the lanolin and alcohol in to make the lube? is it 99% alcohol and 1% lanolin which is how you could read the above posts but seems a lot of alcohol that! Or was the 99% referring to ABV% only ask as I want to give it a try

Seen them before, in IPSC would put you in Open, so can't see the point may as well have a red dot in open!
