  1. Built my new 2011 for 3 gun with a comp barrel just in case. Minor 147gr. @ 125pf and the gun isn't much different than a comp gun. Shoots flat and soft. Not going to put a comp on it.
  2. Time to bring this back to the top. Less than 2 weeks till this match. Have you watched the Samson videos? Do you think you can shoot straight while laughing? Who doesn't have a team put together? Are you one shooter? Or you and a buddy want to shoot but don't have a third. PM me or email me and I will build teams for all the singles and pairs who want to shoot. Don't miss out because Bryan and Brian don't have room on their team for you. You can also get me on the Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/3gunnewsandinfo/ Lets Go Shooting!!!!! D.J.
  3. They can take credit cards. I cannot say for sure about all the sling stuff but I will bet that they have it all. There is alot of misc small stuff in there!
  4. Gamaliel Shooting Supply With the semi rig mobile store. They will have plenty of slugs also!
  5. Won't really know till you get there. Could be faster to shoot all the pistol, dump then rerun the rooms with rifle. how long does it take to run the rooms twice compare to reslinging safe and muzzle down and then unslinging. OR the wording could change to run one gun, dump, then the other.
  6. Good point! Josh....I'll trade ya "free" stuff for "free stuff".......can I have a T&N shotgun? Another that I learned.......there are groups of friends in 3-gun, and sometimes one groups members don't like another groups member(s). Sometimes this leads to internet hilarity, sometimes it leads to serious butthurt. I've resorted to just being nice to all parties, and while I may not be real close with everyone as a newer guy on the block, I hope there are few people who dislike me do to my associations. Coming to Open Big Boy????
  7. 1. Depends on the match and its rules. Andy Horner, " it's a stick, pick it up and hurry" Other matches DQ, "I want a small Chocolate Extreme Blizzard." 2. Ad is an AD....The round leaves the range? DQ, "Still a small Chocolate Extreme Blizzard please." 3.Controlled shot inside the range. It's an MD call, probably no DQ (dang, I'm hot and thirsty") 4. Somethings wrong. Ruining steel is normally DQable. If the MD or range owner doesn't care it's on them. ("That's to bad i had a hankering for a Peanut Buster Parfait this time....") Two things. 1. Got DQ'd this summer, counted out my shotgun rounds, felt the bolt lock back, dumped the gun, expended hull stovepiped, Gun deemed not empty. Yeah!! my first DQ ever! Bought my driver ice cream too! 2. Started shooting a custom 2011 this summer. Best advice was John Harris, (Yes I know him and good advice are like...well.. ) "If you drop the mag and run the slide the chance that your pistol can DQ you goes down 1000%". Especially considering that people used to tell me I threw my H&K in the bucket from 4-5 feet away!! Gotta change tactics based on your firearm... Ok, that's all, I'm Out!
  8. gamer Glad I'm back on this thread.... I suggest a Judge wheel gun division. Judge pistol and Judge rifle/shotgun. no need to dump a rifle or shotgun....Its 2 guns in 1!! Just load whatever you need in the long gun. Now to find steel the little .410's will knock down. "Can I get a calibration Please!"
  9. Glad there were more choices. Im in for a Stoeger and an Akdal. I think the Akdal line is good enough for Firebirds stuff to go there also (which is what I have).
  10. Tom, Now your half way to an open gun for me. Figure out how to mag feed it and I'm All In!!!!
  11. Why yes it probably is. That doesnt bode well for me making this match next year. :-(
  12. OMG.... I just reviewed all the stages. I can't help but smile and smile and smile.... So excited...Gonna be so much fun!
  13. On another note I would like to complain about something. This Match is too Big!!!! I just now realized how many friends I didn't get to sit down and talk to!!!!! :-( To many people to get to see everyone.
  14. Ozark Trail is a Walmart brand product I think. Check with the Arkansas guys....LOL
  15. Wow, really sour grapes. Is it worth $250? it sure is and I will not be shooting AM again. When squads of 13 to 15 have 3 to 4 people doing all the reset and the rest are just hanging out I call B.S. When half way through the day we are 2 hours behind and my 14 person squad continues to run down the one in front of us it's still B.S. I will gladly pay $100 more and shoot on or ahead of time with the Pros. It's worth it to me to be able to keep my focus through a consistent match. p.s. the prize table was changed I feel to be more equitable to all AM shooters. Besides, the AM winner should be match bumped to Pro anyhow. edit: Now that a day has gone by I want to add that I think the AM match is a GREAT value. For me I need the consistency from stage to stage of the Pro match and it would be worth the money, ammo and days invested to get it.
  16. Yes, Know the path of your rifle round out to 100 yds..........That will cover maybe half of what your shooting!! LOL Now adjust in the heaving of your chest as you struggle to breath. Not to mention the climbing, crawling and possible barrel rolling.
  17. I would like to be included in the open bar crowd Dillen. We will have the 3 gunner beverage on Sat so I hear.
  18. Gamaliel Shooting supplies has a semi rig store and tent full of stuff. I have a couple 100 $ of stuff waiting for me to pick up. Ammo, gear, shirts. etc. If you need something special Call them on Monday and ask if it can be there.
  19. After watching Jesse's video basically *anything* will knock down the poppers........ Buy a box of flight control 00 Buck if your worried about the pattern be done with it. Why bother trying to reinvent what works.....I to have tried to reinvent 3 gun stuff. It never works....
  20. I recommend sending your gun to MOA and skip reading...It's over rated!!! Ryan, you gonna be at the ProAm?
  21. Ive just started loading some of the 147 hpcb Xtremes. My wst data is exacly like the chart. Out of a 5.75" STI. Fiocchi primers, 3.6 & 3.8 gr WST @ 1.159 oal. Shorter oal 1.148 make virtually no difference. Glad to see similar numbers. Chrono and 20yd test today yielded 2" group off hand.
