  1. It would more than likely conflict with Single Stack Nationals which held that time of year.
  2. Thanks to Robert and ALL of the staff for putting on such an outstanding match. I love this match and this year (especially with the NICE weather) proves this one will be a regularly attended match for me in the future. I loved the range improvements Robert. MUCH MUCH MUCH better footing than in years past. Great job. Thank you to squad #14!! One of the hardest working squads I have ever been associated with. It sure was nice to meet so many new faces. This squad just rocked.
  3. That just so happens to be the stage I start on. See ya Saturday AM.
  4. I'm with you Jake, I'm not complaining, or at least I hope that didn't come across in my message. I can deal with the heat. MUCH BETTER THAN YEARS PAST!!!! Can't wait to feel my fingers at this match!!! It's almost time....
  5. And I can only imagine what the humidity level must be like there.... Is it as oppresive as it is here in the north country?
  6. Not for the USPSA game. You need at least 4 on your belt (minimum) plus the one in the gun for production division.
  7. It is official. Dave Sevigny is the SS National champion. Robbie came in #2 followed by Nils and then Todd Jarrett came in at #4. Sara Dunivin (sp?) is the new ladies champion.
  8. If they do allow this, you will be nuralized at the end of the day (men in black) so your memory of the event will be wiped out. I wouldn't bother doing it.
  9. The A3 staff put on a GREAT match. Check out the topic from last years A3 (search it). If you have never attended a Greenfield match, you really need to experience it. 14 stages/300 rounds minimum in an area match means a whole lotta fun!
  10. Going to this particular match as your first match is kind of like getting your first motorcycle and making a trip thru Colorado be your first ride. Everything else will pale in comparison... I would say you should also take in a couple of local matches and then hit is hard at this match come June.
  11. Yeah, and I believe there are 14 stages this year. FYI
  12. Is it full body (TSA style) scanner time? Man o man what a talker...
  13. Thank you Sean, it was good to meet you. Love the micrometer I picked up from you down there as well!! Thank you for the video links!
  14. Does anybody happen to have any video of Blake Miguez shooting stage #7? Thanks in advance if you do. Here are a couple of my stages from the match.
  15. 391 competitors at SS nats! That's crazy!! Russell, you have to be beaming right about now!! That is pretty cool news.
  16. With all of the hotel talk, I'm really happy I decided on the LaQuinta in Brookshire. No issues at all, they had a great breakfast and the people were friendly.
  17. Have you looked at a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 long slide? The extra backstraps that come with the gun is sure to have that gun fit her hands. Fairly soft shooting pistol as well. AND, you can get a pink grip insert (she'll love that).
  18. I have used Mobile 1 in the past, and to me the stuff is very slick. However, it may be just me, but I don't think mobile 1 stays where you put it for very long. It is so thin that it runs off the pistol a lot faster than other synthetic gun lubes like Kelube or Militec. Maybe I was using the wrong weight? 10W-40 is what I was using. FWIW.
  19. Oooph Sunday morning is going to suck! (that's effectively 7:00 AM on Saturday...) Somebody bring some coffee!!! Did anything get worked out on the chrono issue? (see my first post in the thread) Dave, they did work that out. They will be following you and randomly checking your ammo all day!
  20. Another silly question, With there being no squad 5 (in order to fill up squad 6) does squad 6 start on stage 3 and squad 7 start on stage 4 or will there just be the gap on stage 3 and squad 6 starts on stage 4 and squad 7 starts on stage 5?
  21. Ok now I can tell you that most of the bays will be pea gravel over top of stone. I was out there this evening and they were spreading it out. Awesome, so my hello kitty flip flops will be PERFECT then! I can't wait for this match!!!!!!!!!! Its almost weather watching time. I must admit, I looked up the 10 day forecast and it showed (at least for now) perfect conditions for the match. Let's hope it stays that way.
  22. I just picked one of these up a week ago. I think this holster is da bomb! I switched from a Ghost holster to this holster. I like the idea of the RM being 1" longer than the Ghost so it gives more surface area for my 6" and open pistol to rest. I love the way it locks in, yet (as many others have said) just slips out when you draw it. It is really quick. The serrated lock lever doesn't seem to bother me at all. My hand doesn't come anywhere near that lever. It also is not effected by the tension knob on the side of the holster either. I note on the weight of the holster: RM came in at 9.94oz and the Ghost came in at 9.65oz so the difference is slight. I think Saul has a very good product on his hands and I suspect he will sell a ton of these holsters.
  23. I did click on your link and that does work as well as the uspsaguns.com link as well. Thanks for the kind words as well. I'm out at the range currently putting some rounds thru it. I put another 267 trouble free round thru this pistol while at the range in 22 degree weather. It is a tack driver.
  24. Here is a 6" build from Paul Grundhauser of Grundhauser gunworks. This pistol has been crafted by Paul to EXACTING tolerances. When I say this pistol is smooth, it is butter smooth. When I say this pistol is tight, it is bank vault tight. It is unreal just how smooth this pistol is. These pictures DO NOT do this pistol justice. If you know who I am, and see me at one of many major matches this year, be sure to tap me on the shoulder and I will be happy to let you take a peek at the pistol I named "Paul". Check out Mr. Grundhauser at Paul's web page. You will be glad you did. Side view in crappy lighting. The nose of the pistol. It shows the bull barrel and the "ports", but the barrel is not compensated. It just looks like it is... The serrations I came up with that are known at Zerrations The cross to pay tribute to my King, Jesus Spiderman Painted Grip
