  1. Was caught up at work for awhile, didn't have much time for reducing material up until now. Well, was easy enough removing material. As you can see, it now fits. Why STI? well, I've used the Dawson before, but I really like the Stainless look of the STI magwell. I've never had a chance to use one before, and now I finally have one.....so I have to use it
  2. drewbeck, Thanks for replying. I also contacted STI, they said the same...file it off. I do have the tools and abilities, I've just never had a metal STI grip before. I've been using SPS grips for many many years, and always had an integral magwell, with the exception of one. I just heard others say they had no issues with the magwell, and I am able to fit on without any issues, the Dawson ice. It's just annoying THanks again for the assistance.
  3. This is frustrating....I've attached a picture. Clearly, it's not working.
  4. Hi everyone, I have a new STI aluminum grip and a Stainless Magwell(STI). I can't seem to fit them both, thought it would be a drop in, like a Dawson Magwell, but apparently, it's not...... Any suggestions on how to fit? seems like there's no other choice but to remove material... CHeers
  5. IMI Jericho, very similar to this (But with safety on frame) :
  6. I meant the lever that locks the triggerguard.
  7. The Front-Line distributor in the states - http://www.themakogroup.com/category_s/12.htm You can only buy the PDR from Saul though(That's his product). Try Shootersconnection or speedshooters in the US, they usually hold on DAA's stock. If it's for competition - why not use a race holster?
  8. How are they in comparison to the grams? (In size)
  9. THe PDR was actually made by Front-Line. Saul(DAA)approached them and they've designed the holster together. It's a quality work, but for what purpose do you need it? competition or carrying?
  10. If the retention screw is tight enough, the CR-SPeed will not unlock itself. People tend to set the screw a bit free, so it's easier for them to unlock. It works both ways. People also tend to forget to lock the gun when the stage is done. I've seen that many times as a RO.. The only issue with CR-SPeed, you might be able to 'bump' the gun from underneath/below on certain situations. Other than that, it gives a lot more confidence to many practical shooters out there, knowing there's a 'holding cup' for the barrel at the end of a stage As for 3 gun...I don't think it's the ideal choice. Something more closed might prove better, especially since you're not shooting OPEN. A simple bladetech should do it.
  11. SHooter's connection definitely. I'd also take a look at the CED ultra...or even a maxpedition compact range bag.
  12. I'm hoping the extra material on the posi-lock, although its purpose to prevent over-insertion, and damaging the ejector would be enough to place the magazine higher.
  13. Hey guys, The grip is fine, a new STI m.catch is actually tighter in the dimensions on the right side, where the spring lock is. I did mean on the inside - in order for the magazine to sit higher, and to be able to remove some material. Nope, the standard length is perfect, otherwise, I'll drop mags all over the place. Brazos? I didn't know they have a magazine catch? just the cyclone button(Which I have on all of my guns) Regarding Dawson - would the posi-lock work in terms of plenty of material?
  14. Hi Guild, Thanks for replying - meant the catch/release, not the button itself. CHeers
  15. Hi everyone, Does anyone fabricate an oversized Magazine Catch for 2011's? Cheers
  16. 5 Belts, 4 rigs. Open, Standard(IPSC)and Classic(IPSC SS). Different holsters, different mag pouches.
  17. After trying many extractors...from Brazos to Aftec, EGW HD seemed to do the trick. The oversized length enabled a decent gap between the breechface and the hook of the extractor.
  18. Hi everyone, I have a 9mm slide with a problem. The manufacturer makes slides for 9/40 together. Due to some sort of error, it seems like the breechface is longer, and all the 9mm extractors I try to fit in are very very short(the hook length from the breechface is very short), even aftec. Does anybody know of a longer extractor length than usual that I can fit it? it's really frustrating. Someone told me I should try an aftec .40(said it was longer), but I've never even seen one. Any help/suggestion would be appreciated. Cheers
  19. More importantly - how does she shoot?
