  1. Has anyone done the maintenance service with AGW? I have a Chaos V1. Looking for feedback if anyone has used it. For reference, I'm pretty familiar with my 2011 - complete disassembly and cleaning, etc. I was just wondering if it's worth $300 for Atlas to do the rest of the work (tune, polish feedramp, etc.)? Ty
  2. Thanks for the info. Springer Precision is local to me so I may also give them a try.
  3. I literally had the same question. I use the MBX Magazines.... However, out of the 6 I have, only 1 drops free. The other are semi-tight (stripping quickly is effortless though). Kinda pricey for mags, though. Does anyone know if the Henning mag extensions work?
  4. Smoking crack at $8K price range. that would buy a lot of other nice guns. Hard pass. Perfectly fine with my Chaos 1.0, I doubt I will shoot double the difference in the 2.0.
  5. Ahh, yes. I added 1 layer of scotch tape on my spacer bar. Eliminated my powder spilling/leaking completely.
  6. What do these new black spacer bars look like? Are we talking about the bar that sits on top of the powder bar?
  7. Same boat. I work as a clinician on the front lines dealing with the public on a daily basis (ER & Urgent Care). I probably evaluate and treat approximately 150+ people in a work week. The issue is supplies. We simply don't have any. There is no capability in place when staff are sick (and they have been, not due to COVID19 - but they still cannot work per organizational policy). I am also on standby for any government response if Uncle Sam comes calling. Furthering a shortage of staff members in an already stressed department. A cancelled match is small problems compared to what we are/may/have experience if the healthcare system starts to fracture.
  8. Thanks for the input guys... After 55 days, finally received delivery!
  9. Just wanted to add to this conversation. I am down to my last pound of SIL and wanted to test some Major Pistol to use at Area 1 and Oregon State Championship. SIL has been good to me for a few years. I've noticed the Major Pistol has more of a straight upward rise vs up/right rise with SIL. This is what I got out of my Atlas Chaos. Temp was approximately 45 degrees. Readings from a LabRadar. 9.75-9.8 gr - CCI 500 - PD 124gr - 1.169 OAL Average: 1366 Highest: 1379 Lowest: 1352 Extreme spread: 27 StdDeviation: 9.9 Shots: 10 PF: ~169 I'm really trying to decrease my SD. Recent switch over to a Mighty Armory 9mm TNT die. I've seen about a 4-5 decrease from the Dillon die. Who knows... Any input?
  10. Anyone have an Erebus? Any feedback? Looking to possibly bite the bullet and order one. Currently have a Chaos, so I'm familiar with AGW's build quality. Thanks!
  11. Overseas, multiple times, some with 1 week turnarounds. Where have you been?
  12. Mostly everyone covered it... but the #1 thing that will make your life easier (and safer) is buying and using a chronograph. After using lights, magnetospeed, etc... I have settled on the Lab Radar, best money I have every spent.
  13. If I could do it all over again from 15 years ago, I would go straight to Open. Honestly, all the money and time you spend "getting there" can be well spent on you becoming proficient in Open, if that is what you desire.
  14. All the horror stories of their cracked frames. Will they still be making magazines?
  15. Had a czechmate for half a season before going to a Chaos. Haven't been more happier. Thinking of picking up another Chaos, in fact.
  16. 1.12 is awfully short. I run 1.695 to 1.172 on my KKM barrel.
  17. Funny you say that. I found WAC dirtier than SIL. I use the exact same recipe. It's great.
  18. Best time to buy mags is Black Friday. I use MBX mags primarily. Love em so far.
  19. I can just add a stock and 16 barrel. No stamp needed. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/can-i-lawfully-make-pistol-rifle-without-registering-firearm The price doesn't bother me (heck, if it did, I wouldn't be shooting Open. Lol). Just wanted to see if it was a good build for a PCC.
  20. After about 10 matches... My DPP is back at Leupold due to glass issues and my upper assembly is back with Adam for an ape hanger fit and to fix my barrel and compensator from rotating. Good thing I'm out of town during this, the itch to shoot the Chaos is hard to overcome.
  21. Thoughts? http://mbxextreme.com/index.php?page=Gun_PCC I was considering venturing into the PCC world (between Open). My initial thought was to convert my MPX pistol using a Tacom ULW barrel & CF handguard ($530) and stock. Unsure which road to go down. Thanks.
  22. Leupold is local to me, thankfully. They are taking care of it and will replace it under warranty.
  23. Thanks. I sent them an email, so I await a reply. If nothing, they're located across the river so I'll visit them in person.
  24. I noticed this after my last match. An imperfection on the glass of my DPP, appears to be a round spot that is not removable with a typical lense pen or optic cleaning solution. Anyone ever have this?
  25. Adam did it for me. YMMV. The only reason I asked for it is because my last open gun had a pedal.
