  1. Still looking for Bullseye if anyone's got any leads.
  2. Have owned and shot Dan Wesson "Heritage", Sig 1911 Target Stainless, and STI Trojan, ...all in .45 ACP. They are all good pistols and I'm not going to get into cast or forged, MIM parts or anything like that. All I will say is I prefer the STI Trojan.

What brand 1911 springs are you guys using? ISMI, Wolff,...other? In my experience the ISMI springs always felt lighter than the Wolff even though they were the same rated pounds.

The 147 gr Black and Blue Bullets loaded to 1.135 run great in my daughters P320. They are round nose.
  5. Just looked at their website. They don't seem to sell powder on line. Would really like to fine some Bullseye.
  6. To easy. Get a twelve pack of your favorite beer and go through them one by one.
  7. Just received my Blade Tech Drop Offset Holster. Very nice.

No trigger smack on my daughters P320C 9mm. One of these days I will have to give that little pistol back to her.

Does it happen with both magazines?
  10. I agree about the Sig barrels. With the same .45ACP load I get 171 PF out of an STI Trojan 1911 and 174 PF out of a Sig Target Stainless 1911.
  11. 3.2 of Bullseye under a 147 grain Black and Blue Bullet @ 1.135 gives me 133 PF out of a Sig P226. No signs of pressure.
  12. 147 gr RN Black and Blue bullet under 3.2 Bullseye @ 1.135 gives me 131 PF out of a 226. No signs of pressure.
  13. Bass Pro. You'll pay through the nose for it though. http://www.basspro.com/Alliant-Powder-Bullseye-Smokless-Pistol-Powder/product/110831127120/ Thanks. But they are out of stock now.
  14. Ended up with an all Stainless 226. Has the E2 grips but would like to try a standard grip as well. I have large hands so shouldn't be a problem.
  15. Thanks for the replys. I found the Black and Blue Bullets 147's allow me to load to 1.135 in the P320. I do have a chrono and work up my loads using that. Seems the 147's are the most popular at least around here so I want to find a load for that. Then go from there. Now that I found a coated lead 147 that I like and will fit in both guns with a longer OAL I'll just have to see what powder I want to use. Thanks
  16. 231 was my least favorite powder in .45. Bullseye is by far my favorite powder in .45 followed by WST, Clays, Titegroup, then 231. To me the 231 had the most recoil out of all. 4.4 of Bullseye under a SNS Cast 230 grain (with no lube ring) at 1.265 gives me 171 PF out of a Trojan and 174 out of a Sig 1911. Best load I've found so far.
  17. I've owned a DW Heritage and currently own an STI Trojan both in .45. I agree the DW is a better built pistol but it's not like the Trojan is junk. Maybe after 75,000 rounds you may see a difference. Both ran great and when it comes time to pull the trigger they both shoot were you point them. I would stick with the .45 too. Just my two cents.

Anyone have any idea what loads he was shooting?
  19. I'm new to the 226. So what is everyone running as far as bullet weights and OAL. I normally use coated lead bullets. With the SNS cast 125's and 135's I have to load 1.090 OAL in my daughters P320. Very accurate. Anything longer hits the rifling in the barrel with those bullet profiles. Big fan of Bullseye and WST too. Thanks
  20. Who makes a 147 coated round nose? Thanks The blue bullets has a coated 147 gr RN with no lube groove, lucky13 has a 147gr RN, and Ibejiheads has a 145gr RN to name a few.Thanks. What OAL are you using with your 147's. Going to try Bullseye with 147's myself. 1.135 OAL, up to 1.145 with some loads. Thanks, going to give it a try.

  23. Then I going to shoot the original grip for a while then decide from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for the info. Anyone know the cheapest place for the E2 Kits?
