  1. Thanks Robert Serva and Fusion Firearms for your sponsorship! More details coming soon on this project. However, most know that if Fusion Firearms is involved, it's going to be amazing.
  2. Happy to have Vortex Optics join the list of sponsors contributing items for the match. They agreed to donate an optic for the match.
  3. Hogging out a set of VZ grips will save you about 4/10 of an ounce in my experience. I have to do it on my 9mm STIs. If the stock MSH isn't aluminum, that's definitely a way to save several ounces if it's steel. I suspect it is already aluminum though.
  4. Couple milestones to announce: 1. All 13 stages are sponsored. So unless I throw a sponsor on the Chrono stage, we're all set in that regard. 2. Stages were submitted and approved by DNROI and we have received back the signed/approved Form C and are officially a USPSA sanctioned match. So you may start seeing "USPSA" added to some of the match marketing materials. With stages approved, once I get a few more of the stage sponsor's logos to add to the stages, I'll be sending out the updated/revised version of the stage drawings. Match book is being drafted as well and will be coming at a later date. My personal goal is to try and get registrations to 200 by match time. Right now, were between the 150 and 160 mark with some staff yet to register. The match is four months away. Looking forward to seeing you all there: https://practiscore.com/2017-sns-casting-illinois-uspsa-sectional/register
  5. Happy to announce Electronic Shooters Protection as yet another Stage Sponsor. They are donating a set of their Elite Digital hearing devices (in-ear protection) for the match. Thank you ESP.
  6. It's the first day of Spring and 145 days until the Sectional. Happy to announce Montana Gold Bullets coming on board as a stage sponsor for the 2017 SNS Casting Illinois Sectional. They've contributed 1000s of jacketed bullets and other items for the match. Thank you!
  7. First, THANK YOU all. We have almost 160 shooters and staff attending at this point and the match is still about 5 months out. So far, shooters from 16 different states are attending. Congrats Rob Kosack! Overall outstanding police officer, father, shooter, and guy in general. Maybe convert you to a CZ guy after all.
  8. Stages have been submitted. The current structure is 13 stages (318 rounds) plus chrono. So 1590 points on the table. Attached is a link to the DRAFT of the stages and squad matrix. With this being an "Illinois" Sectional, stage names are named after Illinois State Parks. Some Parks are bigger than others, some stages are as well. However, all are there for you to get outside and enjoy yourself...as are the stages. There may be some tweaks along the way to include slight modifications in addition to adding more, yet to be announced, stage sponsors. In the meantime, getting them out here for you ahead of time with the understanding things can change until the "official" match book is shared and sent out. https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/2017%20IL%20Sectional%20Stages%20-%20Draft.pdf?token=AWz9oZek0_7BFQuAVqCG8GpmkOsC_9LrVbyufp_2JTs0H77oolGRYQ1PDrr8K3Xq0n4n3syCxGf_qjIJtCnqX9AonFPDK0OHbSL3jmQ9X5_xLltHeQVVUlm2ccWfmahMffTuASZ_i1NzRyF53s2BilD0W6Xc0VRGlWlDg0_TI25KizqjOXOJDbH8UwtaOFfvr0s

CISS carries the industry's top brands, conducts basic and advanced firearms training and is home to the Bloomington Normal Tactical Shooters (BNTS) USPSA affiliated club. Stephen Stewart, owner, has graciously donated a Dillon 650 as well as multiple 1000 count bags of once fired, sorted and polished, ready to load brass.
  10. Here is a breakdown by division/class based on registration so far.

  14. Happy to announce DVC Armory as a sponsor. You may have seen their advertisements in Front Sight Magazine. They have an outstanding brass cleaning product. Welcome aboard.
  15. Big thanks to TechwearUSA for becoming a stage sponsor for the Sectional. For those that don't have a shooting jersey or other Techwear products, they are fantastic. They've contributed a very nice sponsor package for the match and attendees
  16. Happy to announce that Ray Hirst's Range Master Steel will be a stage sponsor at the Sectional. An entire stage will be comprised of all Range Master Steel equipment. This stuff is amazing. Some of his new recent designs that are being developed will be there as well. Thanks!
  17. No road kill or hockey pucks a bun with a glass of hot dog water at this match! Happy to have Bandanas BBQ of Bloomington IL catering lunch for the match. Lunch is included with match registration.
  18. At the hotel posted above, all rooms are the same rate, $139 + tax with match discount. There are other hotels in Canton (30 minutes from range) and a few in Havana itself (5 minutes from range) that may be cheaper. I created the room block there as that is where we're putting the staff up and we wanted to make sure we took care of them, particularly those traveling to help with the match If you need assistance locating another hotel in the area, please don't hesitate to email 2017illinoissectional@gmail.com or send me a PM on here.
  19. Yes, please call the hotel directly. The direct number to the hotel is 309-357-5820. The number on their website is a reservation service that makes reservations on the hotel's behalf and do not know the match details.
  20. The match hotel is the Canton Harvester Inn in Canton, IL, about 30 minutes from the range. Use group code 817SEC when booking for a discount. All rooms have two king beds. Please comment here or email 2017illinoissectional@Gmail.com if we can help with any questions. Www.cantonharvesterinn.com
  21. Sounds like it will be bundled with prod at PASA in the fall.
  22. This was a fun match last year. Good mix of stages, and a good warmup for the rest of the shooting season.
  23. I own a DVC Limited and a few Trojans, so that's where my frame of reference is. I handled a DVC Classic in my LGS the other day. The frame to slide fit was incredible and very smooth. Miles ahead of my guns the trigger was nice but had a lot of take up. Should be easy to adjust that with the trigger bow. The balance of the 5.5" was different, it would take some getting used to. The front strap checkering felt nice. The magwell is small, which is required for IPSC Classic division I think. Overall I was impressed. My DVC limited feels like an edge with lipstick. The classic felt like a genuinely nice gun.
