I shoot 9mm open my load is vvn350 7.3g zero hollow piont 124g length is 1.155...if yours is 1.26 it is too short. try my length.. also change you mag spring, put a brazo tuned ejector and aftec extractor. your gun should work...

since there is no walk through, anydoby withdrawing from the match? picture this you travelled all the way to arizona spent all the money to getthere to have fun and shoot fun stages but NO WALK THROUGH.? if you are an A shooter, and you dont get enough time of walk through, I think by the time you finish this competition you will be ranked as B shooter for shooting poorly and No game plan.... not to mention you paid $300.00 for an entance fee!!!!!!!!!!!! this sucks.. i'll rather shoot my local club have a great time shoot it twice and only spend $50.00?

I just noticed that everyone is putting up a big deal about aiming? don't we all aim and practice this? i guess what everyone whants to see is hosing and shooting really fast. it looks really entertaining as suppose to aiming long distance shots that slows down a shooter and looks kinda boaring?

I started with a springfield singlestack .45 on Jan 2004 I was so nervous and was walking the stage so i can shoot the targets. Then i met JoJo Vidanez...told me he was selling his caspian open that he used in the Steel challenge for $2000.00. i thought that was so much money for an gun?come spring I bought a Limited Para..didnt like it so much. and took my tax money and put down on an open gun to be built by JoJo V.( JVDYNAMICS.) I told him his load, His set up, so i dont have to deal with EXPERIMENTATION. Its great because as i progress in shooting, there is very little changes to my gun and ofcourse less money to be spent. Also on times that its in the Gunsmith, JoJo lets me Use his back up Open gun and its great becuase we have the same set up!!!! By June of 04, I started to shoot a lot.. almost every week. from there until now about 2yrs 9months..I'm Now a high A CLASS open shooter and hope to get my Master class before the end of the year. As for the future, YES....I look forward of being a GM. i love the challenges and join the BIG DAWGS>>>someday..

i'm curious, will the 3 in one milling from harbor freight be enough for a gunsmith hobbyist like me. they have it on sale for $599.00 model 46-199 1vga. i just got AGI course and would like to build my first 2011 sti race gun. any other tools i will need to get this project going? any suggestions is gratly appriciated.

i'm currently running an 8lbs spring. and it is flawless. say monneypenny, you said that its is prone to cracking by lightening the slides? so what would you recommend cut or no cut. anyone out there where there's lightening cut on the slide but didnt crack yet? i see saul kirsh have holes on his open gun?

i have a 5 inch open gun,9mm, 124g vv350 7.3 shoots soft but i feel that it is sluggish and have to wait to track the gun i want a slide that is fast and reliable just fitted a new slide with no cuts at all. i have been using my steel gun and got use to the light gun that gives me a faster transition. any suggestions? i was thinking of brazos lightened slide in 9mm i wonder how much? or should i have another slide fit my gun and lightened? if so how much to take off and where do we cut. i would like it to be lightened but still have the gun to shoot soft.

If a shooter class is A and shot at the nationals and averages 86% to 93 plus. does this mean he should be a master class? how do you know he is a sandbagger? by shooting at the nationals will he be bumped up to master class if he shot this well.

i have the redding seating die and i love it. if you want the best equiptment and eliminate crooked seating die, then this is an investment. i believe that get the best gun..pay once....get the best equiptment..pay once..eliminate equiptment failure and concentrate on you shooting skills.

First thing come to mind is your extractor is not working 100% had similar problem...change an extractor to aftec and the end of that. also buy a tuned brazo ejector..(see 1911.com) everytime i buy a gun, i always put both of these and never have a problem. if i dont, either the firearm is new, something goes wrong. also you should always stop and check the round or case for this matter. could be that the rim was dull and extractor didnt bite in it? you always want to stop and freez when something like this happens because you only get to see this malfunction once or twice?

I think i have seen this in the old steel challenge video... get the video and you will see this gun!!!used in the 80s
