  1. I am finding some at local GS now & then, but still no order from Powder Valley.
  2. I had it built at CZ Customs. They milled the slide down as far as they could, tap the slide for the sight & installed it, Competition trigger job, short reset trigger. after i shot it about 800 rounds, I installed CGW 8.5lb hammer spring & Extended firing pin & return spring. (I use only Federal Primers) DA 4lb 10oz & SA 2lb 4oz. Center of Delta point is about 5/8" above barrel. off of sand bags at 18 yrds. I can shoot a group about the size of a Dime.
  3. Looked like you had fun. What bullet & powder are you using? Lots of smoke.
  4. I have a hard time seeing the sights any more. So I fixed that. What do you guys think?
  5. Well my eyes are bad. this working life has been hard on them. went the glasses route, 1 pair= see rear sight, pair# 2 = see front sight, pair # 3 see the target. 2 different eye DR. I gave up shooting. well I am back to shooting.
  6. CZ85Combat

    MG 147 CMJ OAL

    1.135" would be good. N320 - 3.8gn a little high. =135pf
  7. I would wait. Look for N320, win231/HP38, solo1000, WSF, SR7625, ACCUR #5 and last TITEGROUP but it burns HOT.
  8. FPS went down do to changing the OAL from 1.085" to 1.125"
  9. I have loaded N320 & N330 in 9 minor in my CZ 75 SP01 SHADOW MG 124 jhp OAL of 1.110, 4.0gn N320 1030fps & 4.4gn N330 1040fps N320 burns cleaner because it is loaded closer to max. You only need about 870fps- 880fps with 147gn bullets to make power factor with some room on the + side . The lowest load listed for N330 with 147gn bullets runs 893fps. when you load on low end, N330 will not burn as clean as N320. Also when I loaded N330 it produced larger ES & SD when loaded on the low end. If you load up to a 135-138 pf it works well.
  10. You can get a throater reamer and do it your self or take it to a gun smith and have him throat your chamber. http://shop.pacifictoolandgauge.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_71&products_id=1071
  11. Has anyone that has had a back order with Powder Valley, for Federal Small Pistol Primers received any? If someone has can you Post when you ordered & when you received them?
  12. with what you are using : start out with about 3.8gn(990fps) N320 OAL of 1.130" + 1.135" & 1.140" work your way up to about 4.4gn(1120fps) N320. A good target load would be about 4.0gn-4.1gn Load abort 6 of each and test.
  13. Unique is a slower burning powder for 9MM, it works good in 357 Mag. It is best loaded at mid-high power loads, it performs better at higher charges. with the shape of your bullet you will have to seat it short as you noted(1.085") so you will have to look out for compressed charges. What are kind of load are looking for? Target or SD loads? For target loads N320 is about the best, burns clean but can be hard to find. some use solo 1000,HP-38, ww231, clays, sr7625 and Titegroup but it burns HOT, takes a small charge and it can be double charged with out filling the case. reloading for a CZ requires short OAL, you can find lots of CZ info at http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?board=33.0
  14. noyli: I think you need a new burn rate chart. Solo 1250 is the fastest of the powders you listed. It is very close to N320
  15. You can order 1 case OR 1 lot of 1000
  16. lots of bullets in stock now. http://montanagoldbullet.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/index/?dir=asc&limit=all&order=caliber&q=bullet
  17. in stock http://montanagoldbullet.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/index/?dir=asc&limit=all&order=caliber&q=bullet
  18. I have 1 and it fits good. you get a good loud click when you holster it, it draws fast & smooth. You need the HOL-RPR CZ75 model SKU 110107 you doe not want HOL-RPR CZ75B SKU 110108 as it is for CZ75 SP01 Shadow.
  19. This is what you want. http://www.wholesalehunter.com/product.asp?productid=110107
  20. If you check powder Valley every day you will find N320 in stock within a 2-4 weeks. http://powdervalleyinc.com/
  21. You will have to test and see what your gun likes. your gun might shoot 1.5" groups with 15-20 thousandths off the rifling, mine might shoot 3" groups with this set up and may shoot 1" groups with 40-50 thousandths off the rifling. from my testing I did not see a big change in accuracy by changing the bullet jump distance. I have posted a link to vihtavuorire loading guide, you will see that a 124gn fmj/fp Hornady shows 4.3gn of N320. I think this is close to the bullet you use. http://www.lapua.com/upload/downloads/brochures/2011/vihtavuorireloadingguideed9updtjuly2011eng.pdf
  22. what bullet, powder & gun are you using ?
  23. Seating Depth?? you should be asking what OAL to load for your gun & how do you find it! Look at the 2 post i linked. Thanks to Wobbly from the CZ Forum, & 38 Super.net http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=34225.0 Bullet shape and chamberingThe shape of the bullet nose determines how deeply the bullet must be seated in order to fit in the chamber without engaging the riflings. Bullets with short noses must be seated deeper than bullets with long noses. This is illustrated in Figure 7. If the bullet engages the riflings before the cartridge has fully chambered, the slide might not close, which can prevent the gun from firing, or in extreme cases might contribute to the gun firing "out of battery" which can be bad for the pistol, and the shooter and bystanders if the case ruptures. Different bullets may look very much alike in their shape, but differences in where the shoulder starts can yield very different "just fit" seating depths. Here is a good example. Figure 8 shows two round nose FMJ bullets, a Sierra 125 grain FMJ and a Hornady 124 grain FMJ. They have the same shape, but not the exact same shape. The Sierra bullet has a shorter nose than the Hornady bullet. (The nose is defined as the part of the bullet forward of the shoulder. The shoulder is the transition from the bullet shank (driving band) to the nose.) The blue bar to the side of each bullet represents the length of the bullet's nose. The shorter nose of the Sierra bullet means that it has to be seated deeper than the Hornady bullet when both are loaded to their maximum "just fit" length. Tests in one barrel showed that the Sierra bullet had to be seated 0.068 inches deeper than the Hornady bullet to "just fit" in the chamber. That's a big difference.
  24. Change your OAL to 1.130 & test. N320 will run faster, N330 Will run faster & cleaner
