  1. The Berrys 9mm 115 gn preferred pleated round nose bullet is more of a target bullet. N350 is more of a S/D powder. If you are looking for target loads for this bullet then you need to look at N320. N350 loaded with the load data superdude posted will be hotter then factory 115 loads.
  2. then sounds like your load is ok.
  3. Brass looks dirtier than factory ammo. Gun is almost 100% free of any powder residue The ? about the brass was are you seeing any, signs of over pressure?
  4. what OAL are you loading? What does your spent brass look like? Also if you do a search for N320 you will find that a lot of re-loaders are loading N320 at 3.9-4.4gns & having no problems. It depends on the gun you are using. If you were the only one loading to 4.3gn then it would be a concern, but you have lots of others loading the same as you with no reports of over pressure. LAPUA data is not the best when it comes to American bullets. I tried N330: a load of 4.6gn OAL of 1.100" MG 124gn jhp 1060fps. in my gun. not a clean as N320 at this load (94% of max) powders burn the cleanest at 96%-100% max load.
  5. My load is MG 124jhp 3.9gn N320 at OAL 1.100 1040fps avj. in a CZ 75 SP01shadow. N320 runs clean. I have used N330 but at the lower end 4.4gn it does not burn as clean. With N320 you load at close to max, so it burns clean, has low SD (7-9),meters well & is accurate.
  6. They have to have produced, manufactured and have available to the general public # 2000 Accu Shadows. So until they do! They are out of stock & looking to get more in October from CZub. So looks like the end of the year or 2014
  7. you need to start at 1.130" or less. You need to be 0.010"-0.015" off of the rifling.

  10. If you are using your P229 with a 3.9" barrel you will get lower fps. most manufactures use 6" test barrels for testing. The shorter barrel will give you 20-30fps less.
  11. "I am getting 1.129-1.141 now" That is too much variance! you should not have more then 0.003-0.005 from shortest to longest. 0.012" will give you 10-15 fps. change in velocity. some thing is wrong. are you checking rounds that were loaded on a full press? Is your sizing die hitting the shell plate?
  12. My load is MG 124gn jhp 4.0gn N320 OAL 1.100 1030fps. in a CZ75 SP01 Shadow. I use a ProChrono Chronograph Have you slugged your barrel ?

  18. "I am not good enough for competition shooting" Sure you are. Competition makes you shoot more, move you away form hot loads and it's fun. most new shooters are using factory ammo, it has more recoil then most re-loaded ammo for target shooting. 1150fps vs 1040fps. also look in to getting some trigger work on your gun, this will help your shooting skills a lot. Vihtavuori does burn clean when loaded at 90-98% of max load. this is why most target shooters run N320 when using Vihtavuori. It burns fast, has a softer recoil and you make power factor at 95-98% max load, this makes it burn clean & makes good groups. the soft recoil helps the shooter shoot better(faster & more accurate).
  19. N340 is a slower burning powder. It is better suited for hotter self defense loads.
  20. my testing of 4.6gn N330 = 1070 fps. ES 28 SD 8 with a 1" group. It will be hotter then you need if you shoot IDPA or USPSA.
  21. I had to do some repairs to the ransom rest. Just got it done last weekend. I did lots of testing with N330, the one that I posted was the best group. It was a little slow. I am shooting 4.4gn N330 with OAL of 1.100 at 1040 fps. I will be doing some testing on N320 soon. The N320 works better for minor loads, N330 would do better with mid range loads 1100-1200 fps
  22. This is my load I am using till I get some N320 Montana Gold 124 JHP N330 4.2gn OAL 1.090 CZ 75 SP-01 shadow from a ransom rest
  23. your best bet is CZ Customs http://czcustom.com/CZ-Custom-Pistols.aspx http://czcustom.com/CZ-UB-USA-Factory-Pistols.aspx
  24. MG 124 jhp 3.9 gn N320 OAL 1.095 1040fps 129pf in CZ 75 SP01 Shadow 1" groups at 15 yards. If you look at powder Valley every day with in 2 weeks you will find some, but it only last 3-4 hours. http://powdervalleyinc.com/
  25. "I don't measure and weigh pistol bullets or separate cases by headstamp That is it. Different manufactures brass will make changes in your ES. This you can not control, so for load development, use only the same brass head stamp. you only need 10 for each load. this will allow you to find the best load. when you find the load you want then go back to mixed brass. What size are your groups? are you bench resting with sand bags?
