  1. Stock II has a standard length slide with a cone barrel and a full dust cover; the Limited Pro has a long slide with a straight barrel and a short dust cover. I've always liked heavy, full length dust cover guns for bullseye shooting, but I shot a match with my 75B and really liked it, the light from end made it feel fast.
  2. Jason, I have a pile of parts, so I can help you out. Send me a PM and we'll figure out what you want.
  3. Unfortunately there were no Texas Stars at this match, but in case anyone is interested, a single shot knocked down every piece of steel.
  4. Yes, some else brought that to my attention. It's a damn shame too, because 9.3 grains of HS6 made 165PF (albeit scored minor ) in my CZ and was flat as can be!
  5. If your Bullseye small framed, this barrel will not fit as it is for a large frame. Small frames barrels have an OD of 14mm and large frame barrels have an OD of 15mm.
  6. There are also two Jerichos missing from that picture (a steel frame safety and a poly in the mail).
  7. Now that you mention it, this is why I stopped shooting 9x19 Major ammo through my 9x21 barrel; it just sounded weird
  8. I've fielded a few PMs from interested parties, so I'll post here: my Hunter .45 top end is sold to Doug. Thank you
  9. I'm a CZ75 pattern guy, so 2011 just isn't an option; the grip/balance just doesn't feel right. I have a Gold Team, my converted TS, a small frame shorty project and a small frame long slide in the mail:
  10. At the time it was too hard to get so I had the CZ 75SA sitting around, and a lot less money.I also shoot Tanfo's . I was more wondering why the thread starter, who said he was a CZ shooter, would skip over the Czechmate and be looking at Tanfoglios...I wish they'd sell the Czechmate at a lower price and WITHOUT the 9mm "Limited" division upper, which is useless for the Limited division if you're serious about being highly competitive in that class (due to the major/minor scoring difference.) They don't include a second upper, just a blank comp with a front sight. The spare barrel is the only other "extra" you get. You can say the Czechmate is over priced or that the TS is a great deal, either way, the trigger is very hard to beat (I know, I've tried). It's true that once you spend your $3K on the CM, then you spent another $180 on bases/springs/followers to get the mags up to capacity, $125 on the CZC mag well, $90 for the Cheely horizontal CMore mount, $50 on a new trigger if you don't like the plastic one and $100 on new grips if you have big hands like me, but then you have the best CZ can offer. I converted my .40 TS into a 9mm Open gun so I truly have everything just the way I want it (except the comp, I'm still searching for the best one, although I'm pretty close).
  11. The K9 mags are the only way to go. As far as the conversion, although I've never seen it malfunction, I haven't put enough 9mm downrange with a .40 slide to say its dead must reliable. If it were me, I would get a 9mm conversion for competition. The Limited 9mm top end may be hard/impossible to get, but you should be able to locate a straight barrel long slide. Good luck
  12. Yes it will work, I've shot 9 on a 40 breech face without any issues, but I don't know if I would trust a match or my life with it.
  13. The owners of EAA tried for a moment to shake their crappy reputation by inventing IFG, same building, same phone number, different website and slightly different product line. We didn't buy it, they gave up. At least that's my assumption.
  14. Cone barrels fit cone slides, straight barrels fit straight slides. A straight barrel will fit in a cone slide, but it would only be held by the barrel lugs while in battery.
  15. I'm going to call bullshit here; do you have first hand experience with this phenomenon? The case in definitely not driven forward when fired.I do have experience shooting 40 in a 10 with no adverse effects on function or accuracy. I haven't fired tens of thousands of rounds this way, but I have talked to shooters on this forum who have shot that many rounds of 9x19 in a 9x21 barrel with no problems. That being said, the real risk is that the rim slides in front of the extractor and your stage is over.
  16. I plan to weld up the ports of my steel comps, re drill and tap, then cut the dovetail for the front sight (haven't decided if I want to attempt sight cuts myself yet???)
  17. I finally did it!!! I ended up with a Jericho 941 minus a barrel so rather than go the easy route (buy a small frame barrel and drop it in) I decided to buy a large frame barrel and MAKE IT FIT! I figured I would get a super tight slide to barrel fit which would result in greater accuracy and a heavy bull barrel effect, soaking up some recoil like a Stock II. Let's start by saying this was a STUPID IDEA and I will never do it again. Now that that's out of the way, the pistol shot and grouped well, albeit not noticeably more accurate than before. Shooting it side by side with my 75B and my T120, it seemed softer (heavier for sure!), but the true test will be shooting it side by side with the frame safety Jericho I have in the mail. I guess you can call it a success because I still have all my fingers and a fully functioning pistol, but that was WAAAY too much work for very little gain. I guess what I really want is a Stock II or Limited Pro in 9mm... keep dreaming...
  18. I'm thinking of something similar, but with a 9mm longslide slide, a six inch barrel and a blank comp with a front sight cut into it like the old Hunter except with a longer dust cover: The Hunter uses the same recoil system as the longslide so the only difference in recoil impulse would be less reciprocating mass, plus a stationary front sight. You could then re shape the comp as needed to reduce weight at the nose if you so choose. I'm already itching to try out the sight tracker concept with my TS with an SP01 slide and my small frame Witness with a compact slide. Just what I need right? three 9mm sight trackers in different barrel lengths: 4.1", 5.1" and 6"
  19. - Is the finish chrome like my Elite Limited? Yes - Barrel length is listed as 5.25". Is that barrel only or with compensator? - If the compensator is removed will it have a flat face like the Elite? I don't know what you mean here? The compensator is a cone type threaded on to the barrel, if you unscrew it, there will be a gap between the barrel and slide. You could use the 4.5" cone fit barrel from a Stock II though. - I was told it has no sights but a cocking handle. Can you remove the handle and put a super sight on? Yes, the rear cut is for the Super Sight although there is no front sight cut. - Ran as-is how much velocity is lost versus a 4.75" straight barrel? 5-6% according to my data.
  20. I have used so far IMR PB and Ramshot Competition, HS-6, HP-38 Aren't those powders a little slow for a non compensated pistol?
