  1. Hi Guys, I'm having a hell of a time picking an iwb for my new Gen4 G19 . I'm used to carry an lcr either pocket or 3 o'clock. I picked up a G19 for a higher cap carry. I've bought and owned a silent thunder fusion, desantis infadel and the big 2 clip version and i figured out that is far too bulky for me since i don't usually wear any type of cover garment and i'm printing too much . So the single clip kydex leather is what i'm digging the comp-tac infidel . There is always the garret silent thunder. Anyone have any suggestions on holster makers to check out? This will be an IWB which needs to be able to be taken off easily thanks Aaron
  2. I know that http://forum.snipershide.com has helped me immensely in the area of precision rifle reloading . They have complete guides with step by step instructions on reloading procedures. It's all top shelf info. Be careful though, you can really fall down the precision rabbit hole.
  3. You're sure it's a crack and not a scratch of some kind? Maybe there is something in your holster that is doing ? I'm just spitballing at this point .
  4. Agreed on that end. For precision just get a solid single stage like the forster , redding, rcbs , or even GASP a lee classic cast. that's what i started on and i was more then able to get .5-.6 moa out of a remington sps varm.
  5. Wow highway robbery ! that's more then 2x the normal price then add in shipping and hazmat and you're probably more like 3x the price .
  6. LCR in 357 without a doubt. Easiest to shoot and incredibly affordable. I have an xs on mine and it shoots right where it needs to . Also you won't hate your hand the day after
  7. I have an sps varmint. I didn't get close to that with my stock model. Maybe 1.5 moa with premium ammo but that's it. The stock itself is freakin plastic , no filing will free float the barrel to the point where it will make a difference. There's no chassis or bedding block. It has no rigidity so no matter what it's going to flex and change the point of impact. When you take your action out you'll see how awful it is . Best bet is dropping it into a B&C A2 stock or whichever B&C you like for a couple hundred bucks. With handloads and federal gmm i was able to get .5moa on a good day.
  8. I'm going to have a BC medalist to sell soon once my AI comes in. Complete with R&D bottom metal installed.
  9. What ammo did you run through the Caspian top end? If you reload , have you chrono'd it? Do you chamber check the rounds? Did you notice any other places that seemed affected ? Any bulge in the chamber?
  10. Yeah , ccw def has the most affordable for the vertical style shell holders. At her age maybe she can start grabbing 2 shells at once and go from there . the dual load caddies tend to be much pricier .
  11. Burris MTAC 1.5-6x great scope, great p[rice
  12. I would echo that brakes are everywhere and certainly accepted. They DO reduce recoil yes, but more then anything it reduces muzzle jump / rise etc. I know that is partly a product of recoil . But that's the main reason i use a brake. To me it's just a given that there will be significant noise on the sides . Just like hot brass hitting you sometimes it's one of those things at the range that everyone deals with and lets go.
  13. I'm a righty and i run Standard on the left side and hybrid on the right. With my trigger finger straight i can easily rest it under the nub of the hybrid and the left side standard being as big and positive it is it's very easy to get with your thumb. I then use my trigger finger to re-engage the safety after a string of fire. Best selector out there by far
  14. I wish there was a reference for certain par times . What some gm's do , masters etc. Draw, draw fire, draw fire reload etc. It would be great to have certain numbers to work towards.
  15. exactly what i was thinking. It was the removal of conscious focus on shooting hand that gave you the ability to let it happen from muscle memory , not waiting for your brain to catch up
  16. x2 to the R&D brake , i have it on my precision build and i love it. Super easy to remove as well.
  17. All sorts of awesome here! More new shooters always makes me happy
  18. I love my lancer mags. I had to run them quite a few times for the powder coat on the steel feed lips wore down a little and would allow the mags to drop free. After that , best mag around !
  19. I don't know about that. I carried the Midway bag for about 8 months and it doesn't look very good. I've carried the Shooter's Connection bag for about 1-1/2 years and still looks almost new, just a little dirtier My pistol bag still works fantastically after 3 years . No rips or tears . It's been to a multitude of classes, matches, moving cross country . My rifle bag is still great save for the pocket I blew off of it when my ar comp did a great job on it shooting laying down sideways. At half the cost of the shooter's conn bag , it's a great option. For local matches i tend to load my gear into my car in the big midway bag and use its supplied small bag when shooting the match itself. I can keep my ammo , mags, mag brush, tape, a drink , a pen or marker . more then enough room for all the little things.
  20. Can't go wrong with the midway bags, especially when they have em on sale
  21. What he said .....for me I use the TGO and Tripp. Can't go wrong
  22. Tech Well.....best around http://www.techwearu...well_system.asp you don't have to get a new MSH at all. I have the TGO model and have been shooting single stack ipsc with it for a year and a half . It's on my 9mm Trojan
  23. So shooters source had the +6 but i had to assemble it piece by piece. Luckily i already have the low drag follower so for an extra 20 bones or so , it seems like i'll be able to put a +6 MXT extension together and get it to me fairly soon. Hopefully i won't get an email saying that something isn't available.
  24. Thanks for the heads up dHill . TJ, how did you order it ? I've been trolling their sight looking for tubes for m2's and they haven't been in the drop down, let alone a +8. Am i missing something ?
