I used to wish VZ made grips for the Tanfo, but after modifying the stock grips, I like them better than the VZ grips on my 1911s. Sand down the checkering, grind out a thumb notch, and slap some grip tape on them. Black paint marker on the edges to find any wood.

The rulebook has two competing clauses. They need to define which one overrides the other. There are factory features specifically designed to lighten the slide. One statement allows it, the very next sentence says it is prohibited. Are external lightening cuts now legal since I can purchase this through S&W? If not, how are internal lightening slots allowed?

Yep. Mk7 is salty but no way did I want to spend a grand or more for an autodrive and then wish I had bought the nicer one. Ammobot looks like a good option but if you have the funds for the Mk7, I think it has some nice features which are worth the additional cost.I received mine on Monday and it looks very well done. Had to leave for a business trip so I haven't had a chance to run it yet.

My first press threw powder and I couldn't eliminate it by adjusting it. Bearing helped a lot. Second press doesn't snap and have never had a need to add the bearing. Best upgrade (maybe tied with the mr bulletfeeder) was going to the 1050 and priming on the down stroke.

Mill file works well and like everyone says, just take a little off at a time and keep checking the fit. Make a slave pin from a nail to assist with putting the sear cage assembly together.

My Lim Pro came with the black GT ambi safety.

Picked it up. Pretty good shape. The roller wear surfaces on the case feed, shell plate indexer, etc still had some black on them and weren't worn shiny so I figured the round count couldn't be too bad. Everything seemed tight and aligned. It has the new style primer alarm and the powder tube wasn't discolored so I'm assuming the machine isn't that old.

Its a super 1050.

I'm currently running two 650s, one with a bullet feeder. I'd like to add an autodrive 1050 to give my elbow a break. Found a used 1050 for about 40% off. Plan would be to throw the bullet feeder onto the 1050 and run it manual until winter. By then I should have a good idea on how it runs and have decided which autodrive setup I want to go with. Money isn't a big concern but if 1050s are indestructible, then I wouldn't mind going used. Anything I should watch out for on a used 1050? Thanks.

You should be fine. Both myself and a friend have previously made orders including back-ordered items. It took awhile but LRA shipped everything once they got the back-ordered items.

My bought a Bladetech Limited holster and it works well with my Limited, Limited Pro, and Stock 2s. They don't have a nice snap in feel though like on my 1911 holster.

40 Lim Pro came with a 1pc. 40 Stock II and both 9mm Stock IIs came with 2pc.

I had the same issue with my limited when I installed the henning trigger. With the pretravel screw turned all the way in, the flat head screw still sticks out of the trigger a bit too much. I filed the top of the flat head screw until it would reset. The other option would be to countersink the hole a bit more.

Staff did an awesome job keeping the nooks as dry as possible. I only had 2 or 3 corrections due to the rain messing with things. It was our first major using the nooks so we were a bit nervous but things went very well considering the conditions. -Tim

Just because they work with the stock magwell does not mean they work with Henning's. The Taylor Freelance pads work with the stock magwell but must be ground down on the back to fit Hennings.

I have the Taylor Freelance pads but I'd buy Henning if I had it to do over again. My TF pads liked to stick in the gun and won't work without modification if you get a Henning magwell.
