HOGRIDER replied to testosterone's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
Any of the recommendations on the M7 FB page help to eliminate the problem? Did you replace that worn out index pawl? -

As a true proponent of the TR jig, I have always followed John Harrison's excellent directions for correct stone use: https://shop.harrisoncustom.com/images/uploaded/pdf/HD-806 True Radius PRO Sear Jig.pdf My go-to hammer/sear combo has been the Extreme Engineering Lite Speed series; and with the Wire EDM manufacturing I find the hammer needs little to no stoning for a glass rod, no creep brake when combined with a TR prepped sear. https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Browse-by-Manufacturer/Extreme-Engineering Of course, YMMV............. -
Didn't know if you had seen this review......... Seems with the single cant adjustment it could easily be rotated prior to a stage? Does the manual lock "have" to be engaged prior to a stage start? Just thinking out loud since I purchased a new Flex for upcoming LO and have tried to thoroughly research the options it offers for optimal use.............

Ideas for a RACKER with not much space?
HOGRIDER replied to MuayThaiJJ's topic in 1911-style Pistols
Couldn't remember if your doing a 2011 style pistol; but if so, remember why the open gun slide rackers are angled UP in a prominent fashion........... -

MPA is using this on their new LO Comp pistol: https://www.speedshooter.com/product/doubletap-sports-ambi-thumb-safety-with-shield/ The test mule I handled felt very good! -

A plate system will allow using different optics in case your preference changes; the right plate system will allow many options....... https://accuracyx.com/multi-sight-system/ -

Agree! For me, the front sight will definitely show up in the window; and is a distraction IMO. Would rather concentrate on only one optic/dot that I have to overlay on the target. LO Comp pistol I have ordered comes setup with NO front sight when using the RDS........

Mark 7 Integration Problems
HOGRIDER replied to Boomstick303's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
@Boomstick303 I'm not automated yet...........but would have to recommend you move the thread over to the non-Dillon Equipment side and seek input from experienced M7 automation users there. Especially @SSGJohnV as he can provide "factory support"! IIRC, he mentions importance of cable management in this video. Also have "heard" of others experiencing issues at increased speeds if the calibration is off......... IMO, this info is relevant to using the automation on Dillon or M7 presses. HTHs....... -
Don't know if it's considered a "big" thumb rest, but will be using the Nitro Fin 2.0 on my build. Fully understand and appreciate your feedback on kydex vs open. I do plan on keeping my current CO rig ready to use at any time; but decided to get another separate rig for the LO pistol. And at this point, if LO never becomes a true division, I would shoot it in Open Minor! And then probably move up to an Open pistol! That's just how much I enjoy the 1911/2011 platform and hope to stay active in that platform along with the MAX in CO. But IMO, after talking with a couple of industry professionals, I think LO is going to thrive! As I mentioned above, the latest DAA Flex looks like a fully customizable option with what appears better rigidity during retention. Thanks for your feedback!

@Boomstick303 I have read several of the posts that pop up when doing a search for the MRH, and indeed there are several experienced, respected competitors here that have switched and love it! Of course it's not perfect for everyone; but sure looks like an excellent option. Seems for now that EA is the only place showing stock; and with the optional thigh pad and screw upgrade, does come in at a considerable cost. Yea, if I was staying with kydex, I would definitely be jumping on the Henning T-1000! Beautiful looking rig that's getting great reviews! Still got till around the end of April; so no immediate rush........just finished watching a couple of DAA videos on the newest model Flex holster; and it definitely looks improved and updated. THANKS for your feedback!
