    P320 Full Size Mags

I listed 3 for $90 and they sold in minutes. Might be slim pickings for a bit until the p320 fad dies out.
  3. I wonder if that guy figured it was less effort and a better idea than simply fixing a busted trunk latch...
  4. I've owned several M&Ps; including standards, Pro non-COREs and COREs. Haven't picked up a ported Performance Center yet, still looking for a used one cheap... But the accuracy thing was an early issue with pre-CORE models, where the barrels had a slower twist rate, when people used certain bullet weights/types. They've redesigned the barrel and now people are much happier with the new barrels. The trigger has also gotten much better with the newer models. I used to have one of the first Pro 40 5" guns years ago where the trigger had almost no reset, although I still preferred it over the stock Glock/XD/XDM trigger. I haven't shot an XDS, but I'm not sure you're comparing that as those are single stack carry guns and not in the same league as M&P Pros and G34s. The newer models haven't dropped the weight noticeably, but there is a much stronger and more tactile reset, although it's not as audible as Glock ones. Neither part "necessitates" replacement at all in my opinion, the second gen factory versions are much better than most shooters can appreciate. Can you go into a local gun store and handle one? Dryfire a CORE back to back with a Glock and XDM and you'll see how close they are compared to dryfiring a Pro back to back with a high-end 1911. The reasons lots of guys here are upgrading the Pros so much is because they are getting that good and/or they shoot high end guns (that cost 2-5x as much as an M&P Pro) where the triggers are so better that cheap triggers are just irritating. Keep in mind those same guys aren't shooting stock Glocks either; the guys who soup up with M&Ps also soup up their Glocks and get aftermarket barrels/triggers for those too.
  5. What are you guys talking about? The Mako, not Make, mount is a frame rail mount that uses the Picatinny rail and holds the optic over the slide. Slide weight, optic durability, etc won't be an issue; the frame mount won't shift it around. Get the cheapest one you can find to test the idea out, no point in worrying about brand if you're just thinking about a dot in general. Most of them are all coming from the same place. The Vectors are great for 20 bucks.
  6. "Waste as little time as physically possible practicing anything other than shooting." I won't even ask to share the byline with you, you can take full credit. On a serious note, maybe have a "professional lessons already learned" section where you get quotes from the sports top shooters on what mistakes they made early on in their careers.
  7. AH, thanks. Very interesting, kind of surprised USPSA allowed that...
  8. The pill Gynra cuts are interesting, didn't realize there was that much dead weight in that area, thought it would have reached internals by then... Excellent call on stopping the tri-top short of the rear sight and the front serration extensions. When I see things like this, I wonder why it wasn't blatantly obvious to the people who did 90% of what your product ended up at...

    Berry's and Glock

Yah, measure a handful of loose bullets and compare with a handful of pulled ones. See if you're smashing them several thousandths.
  10. How long is this article going to be? Monthly column or a one-time byline?
  11. Now I'm really curious as to what's going on... Anybody know where the rumor mill is churning?
  12. Remington 597 AAC-SD sounds like the hot ticket in this story.
  13. $540 for a R1 Enhanced? That's a damn good deal, and you should jump whether you like the pistol or not. If you decide you don't, take it back to the gun store and get more than that in trade equity on your next purchase.
  14. He hasn't been back since the day he joined...
  15. It probably seems like they're scarce because they don't exist. There's no such thing as a factory ported M&P CORE. All the factory ported models are marked, marketed, advertised and sold as "Performance Center" models. Try searching for that, you might find more hits that way.
  16. What kind of thickness are they? Anything that makes them particularly useful?
  17. There's no point in swapping the barrel out. The CORE just has the slide cut for the optics. Now the Performance Center, on the other hand, could benefit from the entire top end as the slide and barrel are ported. And +1 on it not being cost effective at all. Just sell the old one and get the one you want. It'll cost less than a spare upper assembly.
  18. I'd pack that sucker hog hunting but not sure I'd want to use it for competitive shooting. Pins does sound like the best discipline for it though...
  19. My opinion on things like this is to buy everything used and take what you can get a deal on. Don't get too hung up on a particular brand/model of a certain item if a very similar one is available for a good bit less. Once you get to the level where those exact items matter more, you'll be able to get all the exact gear you want. You said "building or buying another rifle dedicated for 3 gun". What was/is wrong with your other AR?
  20. They'll be plenty close. When you get to the point where you notice a difference, then worry about it. In the meantime, go kill some cardboard. A little practice trying to assess a new load is good for you. I feel like if you're asking yourself this question, you don't have a lot of free time between now and the next match to get a casual plinking session in. Don't sweat it, the A-zone is big enough to catch ammo variations.
  21. Do you manufacture/sell? Any really cool colors that no one else knows the recipe for?
  22. Dates of replies in this thread: 15 Oct 2014 15 Oct 2014 3 May 2015 Nice rifles though. I feel like for a thread like this to actually take off, people would need to describe what's in the pictures, otherwise the guys building up kits wouldn't really recognize what they're drooling over.
  23. With the poor idea of even introducing an aftermarket Glock mag that does nothing that the OEM doesn't, they had to have left out witness holes for a very good reason. Full capacity, easily readable witness holes are now a standard feature on good magazine design nowadays, so skipping them for no reason would be a huge mistake for Magpul. Now having said that, for the price, it might be worth ruining one for fun to find out for yourself...
