    My G34 Open Project

If either of you guys need a CR Speed 2001 for the Glock - Dremeled to fit the the Carver mount, drop me a line.
  2. Patrick, Have you had any light strikes? I know the Sigmas were infamous for light strikes.
  3. I got my Front Sight today. Patrick has a good article on the M&P in this edition. I'm thinking about buying one, but I'd like to wait to see if they have any production hiccups and I'd rather have 9 mm as well.
  4. Tokarev, Have you heard anything more about Wolf increasing the velocity of its .223?
  5. Thanks. If I were to find rings that duplicated the heigth of the Armalite mount, would you guess them to be medium or low rings?

    Glock Holsters

It's reinforced around the top to keep it slighly open, but you may have to use two hands. The clip is very strong and is essentially a reverse J-hook - so it hooks underneath the belt. A very good design.
  7. L2S, Yep - you need to lighten the hammer. Don't drill holes in it. Go to JP's site and look at the lightened hammer. The use your Dremel or even a hack saw to cut off the "tail" of the hammer similar to the JP hammer. Use your Dremel to smooth out the rough edges, throw on some cold blue and your done.
  8. Kurt, I've had good luck with the Armalite mounts. I just bought a Meopta from Cactus Tactical and I'm trying to decide how to mount it. Did you have to take the hacksaw to the flat top and mount because your handguard interferred with the mounting or because you had to get the scope further forward for proper eye relief? Any pics? Thanks. Second question - Any opinion on the Arms QD lever 30mm rings for mounting the Meopta. Will the low rings work? I like to mount scopes low as possible. Here's a link: ARMS low QD rings

    Glock Holsters

I love kydex - for belt holsters. I've never found one that's comfortable for me IWB. YMMV I really like High-Noon holsters. My current favorite IWB is the High Noon "Mr. Softy." It's like glove leather but still has good retention.
  10. It makes Major all right - but only once
  11. How are you guys mounting the Meopta? Got pics? Thx.
  12. I have some CR speed pouches for my Glock set up, but they don't hold the thinner XD mags. Um, they work for my XD mags, actually the work for my XD, SS, Caspian HiCap ,and SVI's Weird . . . I must have a thinner insert or something. They hold the Glock mags tight, but the XD mags will fall right out.

  14. Thanks for the review Kevin. Please let us know your opinion after you shoot it some more.
  15. Two questions: Is the grip rubber-like, or just stippled hard plastic? What does the trigger reset feel like? Short, long, medium?
  16. I'm looking for recommendations for Production mag pouches for an XD. Thanks.
  17. Several members have been shooting the Meopta 1-4x for a few months now. Any updates on your likes and dislikes about the scope? Do you guys like the reticle? The 8 MOA dot on 1x seems big to me. Thoughts?
  18. Wow - in that case, I may have to pass
  19. I knew I should have listened to you!!
  20. So what's your solution Chris? The fact remains that it's impossible to draft a rule that contemplates all future facts scenarios and possibilities. Since I assume you're not one of the "over educated idiots" that you refer to in your response, then call your Area director and suggest language for the specific rule that fixes all current and future issues. Any idiot can call people names on the Internet, make over-generalizations and bitch about a problem. It's slightly harder to make a positive suggestion . . .

    2 Birthdays

Happy birthday Chris! I'm four years and one week younger than you (in case you were wondering). That also explains why you're a better shooter than me!
  22. It’s simplistic to think that that anyone can draft rules that won’t require interpretation at some point when applied to an ever-dynamic set of facts. For example, we have many written laws and statutes. Highly educated people draft, negotiate and modify these laws. They are written and re-written and put under a microscope. Every word and punctuation is analyzed. Yet, every day in America these laws are interpreted by judges and argued by attorneys. The application of fact to those laws is constantly weighed and interpreted by juries. I’m an attorney who drafts and negotiates business contracts. I do this for a living five to six days a week. I can personally tell you that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to draft language that provides for all eventualities. Even the best drafter cannot foresee all fact scenarios that could occur in the future. When a fact pattern arises that is not perfectly contemplated by the express language of a rule/law/contract, it is appropriate to use the “spirit” or “intent” as a guidepost. In a perfect world, the best answer to the poll is “as written.” However, that answer ignores practical reality. YMMV
  23. No doubt about that... Amazing what those Glocks will take and not hurt you, though. They might actually replace those parts for you - or get them to you cheap. Glock is amazingly forgiving about this kind of stuff - or, at least, used to be. Specially for folks in Atlanta, it seemed like.... Dave - I don't think I'll make a warranty claim on this one
  24. Thanks guys. It was a factory barrel. I'm sure a aftermarket barrel would have met the same fate.
