  1. Merlin, You must be my long lost brother
  2. I knew God was a Denver Bronco and Oklahoma State Fan Stay Safe Stinger and thanks for all you do.
  3. Shot with Dean for many years...He will be missed. Always there with a joke, a smile, an wise-ass remark, and always willing to help. It is difficult to believe someone can be taken so quickly.
  4. Been loading on a loadmaster for years. Here are my tips. use a grease or heavy oil on the square rod...the case slider rod adjust this rod so it is square and as close to the case slider as possbible. Lee recommends pencil width.....get it closer than that Get the case collector....it really works great a second sizing die in the primer feed station helps keep cases centered. Sometimes the holding arms get pushed out over time get several primer sliders (the small plastic piece that actually pushes the primer into place. get an extra rod, case slider and etc. Watch the arm pins, on sometimes they will walk....once set they are usually fine Dont get any lube on the primer system....it does't like gunk....soap and water to clean after every few thousand rounds. Feel free to PM with any probs....but I am traveling next 2 weeks.
  5. Yep, It is usually a guy coming from baggage claim
  6. Shooting buddies or not, That is something that should not slide. I have been DQ'd by buddies and DQ'd buddies, heck I even DQ'd myself once. Safety rules are the ones that cannot be allowed to slide.
  7. Sounds like the Comp-tac belt-feed mag pouch setup. Comp-tac Beltfeed
  8. T-G-I-F A business man got on an elevator. When he entered, there was a blonde already inside who greeted him with a bright, "T-G-I-F." He smiled at her and replied, "S-H-I-T." She looked puzzled and repeated, "T-G-I-F," more slowly. He again answered, "S-H-I-T." The blonde was trying to keep it friendly, so she smiled her biggest smile, and said as sweetly as possibly, "T-G-I-F." The man smiled back to her and once again, "S-H-I-T." The exasperated blonde finally decided to explain. "'T-G-I-F' means 'Thank Goodness It's Friday.' Get it, duuhhh?" The man answered, "'S-H-I-T' means 'Sorry, Honey, It's Thursday.'"
  9. Thanks, Sargenv. That settles that on the slide. Rule 21.6 quoted above doesn't seem to address anything but the grips, or does this rule also include the beavertail area? If you are talking about the underside of the beavertail, IMO that is part of the grip. If you are talking the top of the beavertail, then IMO it is not. I believe the grip includes the sides, frontstrap and backstrap of the gun. The areas your hand would normally contact. The only part that I believe wouldn't be considered the grip that your hand contacts would be the trigger guard, and frame forward of the "grips"
  10. Grip tape and sleeves have been ruled legal, so would say it is fine on beavertail since it is part of the grip. On the slide, my bet is the ruling will come down as no.
  11. It doesn't go in the monitor silly...it goes in that slot on the front of the computer.
  12. 4'x8' walls made with 2x4 and covered with construction fence. You know the bright orange stuff. Just educate your shooters that just because they can see through it, they cant shoot through it. Makes a nice light wall. Legs made out of 2x4, and all legs and walls drilled with a template so holes are in the same places. Legs attaced to walls with carrage bolts and wing nuts. If you don't want visablity through the walls, another option is the heavy mil black plastic sheets.
  13. I love it when a good screwup works out even better than the original plan.
  14. Our club tosses in a SC stage from time to time. The club members like the change, and it works transition skills like Shred Mentioned. We score it like USPSA using Procedural if stop is engaged in wrong order. Usually run 4 strings and let shooter cross off worse run. and score best 3 strings.
  15. What George said is the right call.
  16. Happy Birthday Sky.....Tip up a glass of Vino for me and enjoy time with your lady.
  17. My condelences on your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  18. Dean Williams left us this morning after a two month battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Cathy and his son and daughter, Patrick and Stephanie. Many of you may have know Dean Williams from Colorado. He was the past Eastern Colorado Section Coordinator, Grandmaster in Limited and Production, Federal Air Marshall, Great Competitor and even Greater person. He will be greatly missed by those in Colorado and elsewhere that he was known.
  19. Did some digging and found a reputable shop near my GFs work. They are going to deliver dozen roses today by 2:00, and are going to charge me the normal rate (not the inflated valentines rate). These guys will get a lot more of my business if they come thru.
  20. Thanks for the suggestion, that is what I was thinking also. In the past, I used to do a search to find the florist nearest to where I wanted and call the shop direct. This always worked, but took a lot of time. Using the internet for one stop shopping was so easy, but I will never do flowers through them again.
  21. Well finally got through to 1800flowers.com. After my pissing and bitching, they are going to issue me a full refund AFTER they pick up the flowers already delivered. I cannot believe this shit, and I will refuse to do business with them again. They should be bending over backwards to make this right, and they just screwed it up even worse.
  22. Ordered a nice arrangement of Roses and Tulips to be deliverred to my GFs work on Valentines Day....This was orderred on 2/3 from a nationally reconized online florist. No flower delivery yesterday....tried to call today but everytime I get, "sorry we are too busy to mess w/you, please call later". Then at 4:30 today, my GF calls to thank me for the nice geranums and daisies.....WTF....I am so pissed....Still haven't gotten thru to the dipshits....
  23. I got this SA Model PX9152L for $725. It is ready to run in our game. May need to tweak recoil spring and trigger a little, but other than that it has everything I need.
  24. The Para is usually a good choice, especially for starting. Not as good as the STI and will need more tweaking, but you can. If you start with a Para P-16 LTD, you will want to eventually add the following: Magwell $75-$100 Fiber Front Sight: $30-$50 Trigger Job $75 with stock parts, $150-$200 w/new Lighter Recoil spring: $5 Mags w/extended Basepads $75-$100 each There are others, but those are the most common.
  25. In other words, "knowing there will HAVE to be a reshoot"? Is that much different from the situation that started this thread? I believe the key differnce is one is related to range equipment, and one is related to the shooter. The shooter is the ROs responsiblity not the spectators. There are extremely few cases where a spectator should hollar any range commands based on something the shooter is doing (squib is about the only one and even that should be caught by the RO). The RO on some stages cannot see all the props downrange from the start location. Range equipment is pretty cut an dry...either it is reset or isn't. Start Postions as we have discussed in other threads aren't as cut an dry. Some read more into the description than what is there. That is a case to discuss w/RO after the run and let the RO decide if start postition matched the stage description.
