  1. The SP-01 is legal weight in IDPA now, the Shadow 2 isn't. Seems like they can still make money on the Shadow 1, and isn't that what they (or any company) mainly cares about?
  2. I have small hands, the mag release full cutout on the Lok grips helps a lot. I don't need to reposition my hand to hit the mag release. I also have the VZ diamondbacks. Both feel really good in their own way.
  3. Do you have to remove the rear sight for the black nitride at H&M? I have a HAJO sight on my Shadow.
  4. But Stoeger probably has excellent eyesight and isn't partially color blind. I guess if you had really good eyes that would make sense though.
  5. I have the new palm swell LOK grips also and love them. I have really small hands and use them with the full relief cut with no problems at all. I don't even have to adjust the gun my hand to hit the mag release.
  6. They are only .015" thicker than stock grips, unless I'm missing something. Yeah, that's what I saw too. Plus with the relief cut you should be able to use them with smaller hands without issues.
  7. These look awesome. I'm not sure I'd want even bigger than the rubber grips but who knows, with the thumb relief maybe it wouldn't be an issue for smaller hands. Here's a good look at these: http://www.imgrum.net/media/1243066428228172994_2159994158
  8. How did you like these? Is there any curvature at all, or is it really flat? I saw their newer ones but they might be too much palm swell for my small hands. Every other g10 grip out there is flatish.. i would assume those are no different. I figured as much too but a hands on opinion never hurts. I'll just order them and see what I think.

  10. The Copper Guns lava grips weigh just 0.80 ounces.
  11. LOL, he's very descriptive. FWIW, Ben Stoeger says he does the same thing. He puts his finger closer to the joint, instead of using the pad.
  12. The scales are the grips I want to like the most.. but just can't. The feel in one hand is amazing, I love the taper. I agree they also provide a decent amount of grip. Not sure why but my follow up shots are never as good, plus at times I crush my strong hand finger tips on the edge of the holes. I'm going to try to either send them back of sell them. The red is really nice looking though, best color I've seen so far on grips. I also tried out some Copper Guns grips. They are my favorite so far. At first I thought being so small that I would hate them, but after shooting with them I really like them. The palm swell works great with the grippy material. They're also crazy light (0.8 ounces), which I thought would detract from them, but I can't tell any difference when shooting. I saw some comments about them being fragile. I've had them on/off probably five times so far, going through my 'test every grip' phase and had no issues. They are a bit flimsy, I can lift up the edge (which overhangs the magwell slightly), with a fingernail so a stronger material might be nicer, but so far they work well. I think I'll be selling the VZ's and the Scales.
  13. I know the OP has resolved his issue but thought I'd give some feedback. I tried the Scales grips also. They have a great shape, even for somebody with small hands (thin, short fingers). The main problem that has me doubting them is the way my strong hand finger tips get crushed on the edge of the holes by my support hand. If they were a different texture (and maybe had a tiny palm swell), they would be perfect, because the shape really is nice. For comparison, I have: - rubber grips - thin aluminum grips - VZ diamondbacks - Scales I just got the Scales today and went out and shot a few hundred rounds changing grips. I'll probably go out tomorrow again and see if I can decide which I'm going to stick with.
  14. I've been thinking about the Scales grips also. I'm still waiting to see some in person of find pictures of somebody with small hands to see how they work out.
  15. Is it my imagination, or is the site's robots.txt file blocking searching engines from getting anything at all indexed? User-agent: * Disallow: / Last I checked this says to exclude all robots (search engines) from the entire server.
  16. I got a new gaming-- I mean work-- laptop that had Windows 10. I liked it but things did break. The app store quit working completely, along with any apps installed (like the picture/image viewer). As far as the privacy, people have a right to be able to turn it off, but on Windows 10, you can't, not 100% anyway. It will always send data to MS; they claim it's updates... What bothered me was they finally added a decent search feature for Windows, then to find out that I can only use it if I want to send all my searches to MS. It's just a matter of principle that I wouldn't want them getting a data stream from me. I hung in there using it for about 3 weeks, but the hosed app store finally broke the deal. I went back to linux: http://linuxmint.com/ That said, I work with people that are using Windows 10 and have no issues at all. From what I saw, once the bugs get out, it will be a nice OS.
  17. Great video! Thanks for posting it. I'm going out to work on my draw now.
  18. I made something like these using the cheap custom molded earplugs from Amazon and some spare earbuds. http://makezine.com/projects/Custom-Fit-Earbuds/ They work pretty well for the price.
  19. For me the reason was that it was less available in my area. Its dirtier, which is annoying with my gun but availability was it.
  20. Using Bayou bullets in my CZ Shadow, AA#2 seemed to work fine. I loaded some 135 and 160gr bullets with no problem. The accuracy was decent but as mentioned it is dirtier than some other powders. However it's the least expensive powder I've tried, so maybe it's worth cleaning more to some people. Just for reference I compared it to WST and N320 at the same time. I went with WST mostly because I can find it easier in stores nearby.
  21. Yeah, I'm going to have to see if I can isolate if it's just certain magazines and go from there. Maybe the +10% springs will do the trick if it is.
  22. It's a Custom Shop Shadow. Yes, it was an OEM part, the package says from CS-USA. I have 3 different types of magazines, all with springs that came with them. I'll have to go out and try each repeatedly to see if I can get it to do it while not in a match setting. It just seemed odd that it never happened before I changed the slide stop.
  23. I just replaced my slide stop after the old one broke. I bought it through midwayusa.com (if it matters). Twice today shooting the classifier doing a slide lock reload, I put the new magazine in hard enough that it closed the slide. The problem is that both times it didn't put a round in the chamber. The magazine was fully seated both times. Sitting here now with dummy rounds (same bullets) I cannot duplicate the behavior. Has anyone ever had this happen? Any ideas on what could do this?
  24. Just thought I'd pass this along. http://www.midwayusa...-friction-black
  25. I like this DVD kettlebell workout http://www.artofstrength.com/products/providence-dvd.html
