  1. Mike, Yes, Kurt does have them. He sent me a P.M. yesterday, and says we can talk about it more when he gets home in Feb.
  2. I remember seeing a post about some stainless steel speedloaders from the U.K. that are similar to the Tecloaders. I think they came in a set of three. 4 round, 6 round, and 10 round. I thought I read that somebody was going to handle them in the U.S.---maybe Brownell's, but, I still don't see them available there. Does anybody know any more about them? I tried to do a search, but, couldn't find the thread. THANKS!!
  3. I was an R.O. at this year's DPMS tri-gun challange, and the stage we were running had 16 targets. The longest shot was maybe 15 yards. I would say that 60% of the iron-sighted shooters had failures to neutraize, or, no-shoots. Of course, Kurt SMOKED through it clean with iron sights! Congradulations on your win Kurt!
  4. How many 23/4" shells do they hold? Is it really 6,8, and 10? I like the idea of being able to shove in more than four, but, I would think it wouls be hard to control. Have any of you checked to see what the cost would be in U.S. dollars shipped?
  5. When I ordered mine last year, I was going to get it in 9, but, Dan talked me out of it and I got it in .38 Supercomp instead, and am very happy with it. I had a few issues with the extracter and ejecter, but those issues are now gone. I also had one hell of a bad time with the "find the dot" thing, being a little color blind, and cross dominant, so I went from the C-More to an OKO sight, and with the bigger window, and brighter dot, I think those issues are ALMOST gone. My "Shorty" is an accurate little bugger! I've shot groups at 25 yards less than 1/2", and now, the only time I get any "mikes" is when the idot that is pulling the trigger, does it when the dot isn't on the target! Thanks again Dan and Chuck!!!
  6. I'm confused. What do you mean by their ststute of limitations?
  7. I've had mine for a little over a year now and I like it so much that I bought & sent Dan two other STIs to re-work so they feel like the "Shorty" So far, I've gotten my Eagle .40 back, and although the balance is just a hair different than the "Shorty", the grip, trigger, and controls are exactly the same.
  8. Craig, I apologize for the smart a$$ reply. I really do enjoy shooting IDPA, and most of the Wisconsin IDPA shooters are really a great bunch of guys(and gals), but, the rule changes they keep making are very frustrating. I don't know the details of what happened Sunday at LaCrosse, but, Steve has always treated me well and if he chooses to switch from IDPA to IPSC, that's fine with me. I would rather shoot IPSC anyway because they don't have the STUPID rule that prizes can't be awarded, and MAYBE he will return some of the shooter's money similar to what Ronnie is doing with his 3-gun matchs. Of course, most of us don't have much of a chance of taking top shooters like you, Ronnie, and Lori, but, there is always a chance you might screw up a stage, or two to give us a chance to actually take you!
  9. Craig, You can keep it the same date, I would just love to shoot the Wisconsin IDPA match, instead of going to DPMS. After all, I only won about $700 worth of stuff at DPMS last year, and I won a really cool knife at the IDPA state match.
  10. My buddy put a Micklek comp on his .308 that he bought through DPMS. Although I haven't had time to shoot it myself, he says it is sweet.
  11. I just ordered 2,000 rounds of the 55 grain h.p., that is supposed to be polymer coated, through Sportsman's Guide @ $98.97 per thousand, plus shipping, and I had a $10 coupon which brought my shipping down to about $6. For that price, I can't take the time to load, and if I don't feel it is accurate enough, as long as it functions o.k., I can always use it on the "hose em" targets.
  12. Last year I only ran my Leoupold 1-4 and I was surprised that I didn't have any problems hitting 8" plates at 200 yards, but, with the tiny field of veiw, it seemed really slow on the close stuff. I just mounted an OKO, red dot on my handguard about 1 o'clock and can really rock on the close stuff. I'm thinking of changing my primary scope to something with more field of veiw, and more power, but, really don't know what to change to yet.
  13. I think it has been 10 years since I shot any Wolf ammo, because, in the past it was nasty stuff. I may have to try a case of the 62 grain stuff, especially if the bullets are NOT steel (I never liked the idea of running steel bullets down any of my barrels) Are the cases still steel, or, are they now brass? Where have you found the best place to get them? THANKS for the enlightenment!!
  14. So, if you can only START with 8 in the tube, and the stage is set that you have to move to a different position to shoot, it is o.k. to add a couple more on the way to the shooting position, to possibly bring it to a total of ten rounds, even though you can't START with more than eight ??
  15. Sounds like it will work for me. Any idea when he would like to sell one?
  16. Alex, What configuration of sights is it? Is the front any type of hi viz? Is the rear peep/ghost ring, or open type? Any idea how soon he will have one available? Thanks! Randy
  17. Cool! Any chance that they are going to be the proper height right away, and mount to a Weaver base? Although presently, I only have a short Weaver base on for the OKO, torwards the rear of the handguard, I can always screw another one further forward.
  18. I currently am set up for open class, with an OKO sight at the 1 o'clock position, on a Weaver base, but, would also like to be able to switch to tactical. Will the JP sight mount right to the Weaver base so I can easily change sights, or do I need to put a special rail on? I assume the JP would be closer to the center of the bore, compared to my dot sight which will help with the trajectory thing, but, will it cause problems getting down on the stock far enough??
  19. Benny, So i'm guessing that you are going to continue shooting the M2 over the M1. How does the recoil of the M2 compare to a Remington? THANKS!!
  20. Arrendondo sells his own mag cinchs that work with his magwells.
  21. A freind of mine put his on and I think he said he had to grind off a couple of high spots. One of these days I might have to get around to putting mine on. Still not sure whether or not to put it on, now that I found out that a Beta mag won't work with it on.
  22. Benny, So what you're saying is, that other than the chokes being different, the M2 is just as good as the M1, with LESS felt recoil?
