  4. heres new pics : shes almost done just need to have her engraved and hard chromed... Barrel was Fluted by Jojo Vidanes of JV Industries: IMG_1132 by rippspeed1, on Flickr IMG_1133 by rippspeed1, on Flickr IMG_1134 by rippspeed1, on Flickr
  5. My gunsmith Jimmy Vidanes just finished a 6" Frame 5" Slide and 1" Blank Comp (no hole) with the front sight mounted on it ... pretty nice cycles like a 5" but sight radius of a 6" ... only thing is its kinda nose heavy... more than my 6"
  6. update: 200gr Bear Creek Mixed Range Brass Winchester Small Rifle Primers 3.9gr Vihtavuori N320 1.170 lost data but 172.2PF
  7. my 5" is 37.9oz vs my 6" is 40oz thats with the gogun thumb rest attached... my 5" is alittle faster in the transition but my 6" is alittle more accurate. But, I'm still tuning the guns to group shots tighter ... my tuning test is 5yrds and do double taps, without looking @ the sights ... just point and shoot and see how close they are...
  8. Dood another one ?!?! man must be nice having money ... I should try that out one day ... LOL I have plenty of money when I don't pay the mortgage. LOL !!!
  9. heres a full dust cover one 6" flavor Project Straight Six w/ GoGun USA *thumb rest [generic]* by rippspeed1, on Flickr "DVC" Project Straight Six by rippspeed1, on Flickr
  10. I load these in my 1050 ... I had to readjust the primer punch when I switched from winchester small rifle to these cci ... as to not crush them
  11. yeah that one had gotten crushed alittle when seating ... my issue is the how deep the firing pin went in ... These are small primers for sure they were out of a un-open 5K box of cci small pistol. I've never seen winchester small pistol primers have these deep hole from my firing pin
  12. first off heres my load : 1.170 OAL 200gr Bear Creek 3.9gr Vihtavuori N320 Winchester Small Rifle 6" = 172PF 5" = 165PF I recently bought some CCI small pistol and wanted to see if my guns would light them off... And they felt stronger recoil ( feels closer to 180PF or factory ammo )than my loads with winchester small rifle primers... And a couple of rounds actually locked my slide back on my 5" ... heres a pic of the spent primers... It looks like the firing pin went in there deep is that ok ??? I'm running a dawson hyper drive firing pin ... these primers were deep seated in my 1050 ... Does these look normal to you ??? 20130218_115051 by rippspeed1, on Flickr
  13. me being anal ... kills me when I scratch up a metal magwell ... And I'm not great @ reloading and the dawson magwell takes care of that but I'm seriously looking into buying 2 stainless steel SV grips...
  14. Dood another one ?!?! man must be nice having money ... I should try that out one day ... LOL
  15. First range time out with the Slight Edge breaking her in ... Had alot of jams in the first stage but the jams started slowly going away as the day progressed... heres the vid: will update with pics soon ... got her grip treated in silicone carbide and the barrel fluted...
  16. Or you can just do a regular P30 and drop a LEM kit in it ... I had shot a P30LS ver 1 in production but was kinda hard to get use to because of the long trigger pull
  17. Can you use the SVI steel grips with a Dawson Magwell ??? I'm looking @ upgrading my grip to an STI Aluminum grip but if the SV Stainless steel grip can use a Dawson Big ICE Magwell ... I would go with that
  18. Thats why I love springco tactical springs... they are dumb down for me ... They color code the springs for the weight
  19. very very sick Glen... My 5" barrel is the same as the last 2 pics... Just freaking sexy
  20. thank you for your kind words Glenn... I wish I had your skill set with machining. I would be making gun for myself...
  21. Eye Box was an issue for me; maybe because I use prescription glasses ... But I returned it to Bushnell for their 100% Money back guarantee ...
  22. Thanks for the update and range report... I want to try these soon ... maybe I should purchase a 500 just to try them I still have 10K worth of 200gr Bear Creeks...
  23. Let me add mine: 200gr Bear Creek Mixed Brass Winchester Small Rifle Primer 4.1Gr Winchest WST 1.180 OAL HI 909fps Lo 891 Av 899 179.8 PF Very quick slide movement 9lb recoil 200gr Bear Creek Mixed Brass Winchester Small Rifle Primer 3.9gr Vihtavouri N320 1.180 OAL HI 854fps Lo 812fps Av 835fps 167 PF Very nice recoil ... alittle slow with the 9lb recoil I ended up replacing the recoil spring to a 12lb because it just feels better and the sight snaps back into place... When compared on the video (slow mo) the 9lb doesnt have a wiggle at the end of the cycle and looks alot flatter than the 12lb recoil. But the feel and the sights react better with the 12lb spring. But on video the front of the gun has a little bit of bounce and wiggle... I have a 3.9gr N320 with a OAL 1.170 to test out the next time out on the range
  24. For one of the guys in are club.....it looks like your going to make me get my rotary table out, and flute the barrel .... lol do it !!!! LOL ... I'm having my 5" done right now ...
  25. WOW Glenn !!! With an SV grip too ?!?! I love the top serations... Love your stuff brotha... are these yours or for someone else ???
