  1. I agree with Religious Shooter, I too like to aim once in awhile.
  2. I like them for the above reasons and also when you are dumping the shotgun in a barrel it keep pressure off the mag tube.
  3. Benelli Salient Para 16/40 JP 18" Barrel, gas block, hand rail, JP Trigger, Cooley Comp. DPMS Upper Receiver Stag Lower, A2 Stock, Larue mount, Burris XTR
  4. I have stayed at the Hard Rock a couple of times. It sucked. Caters to the young party crowd and they do not know how to close a room door at 3 AM or to keep their mouths shut walking down the halls to their rooms. Kept me up all night. Great place to party, pool area is great, but not a place to get a good nights sleep.
  5. Keno34, check with Chivas T.H., he just bought a huge pick up to tow his new trailer to the match. He should be able to haul your ammo to Vegas.
  6. If anyone going to the Multigun Nationals shooting Tactical Optics is thinking about getting the Otto GTO to do the GRiTS loading, please do not do it. You do not have enough time to master the GRiTS, please use the 4 X 4 carriers or what every you have been doing. Wait until after the Nationals if you must get the OTTO GTO. Thank you for your consideration. LOL!!!

    Reliablity?

I just got a new P18/9 and had problems at the start with the extractor. Ordered the EGW sleeve and their extractor, gave the gun to my gunsmith to work it over for my IDPA competition gun. I love my P16/40, pre PXT extractor. Living in California, we are limited to what guns are on the "approved roster list".
  8. Horner shoots for the AMU with a much larger budget and a team of gunsmiths to keep his stuff running. Most of us do not have those options available to us.
  9. SuperSet, Phong, are you going to try the Versa Max for 3 gun? Let me know how it works out for you. Some of us really want Remington to suceed in 3 gun. Hated to drink the tomatoe sauce. See you at SacValley Thanksgiving? 3gunfunshooter Randy
  10. OMG! That is really, really, really, close! For Limited 10 and Revolver.
  11. Did you get a chance to read the 21 page thread on the Mossberg that is just below your thread? That should answer your questions.
  12. Guys, we need to stop talking up Mark Otto's shell carrier and the GRiTS loading. Already 2 shooters in my club have gotten Mark's belt after seeing mine. They had just bought the 4X4 carriers and now are going to switch their loading technique to the GRiTS. There goes my shotgun stage advantage! LOL!
  13. +1 on the Wilderness reinforced liner 5 stitch. I have the 1.75" use it for IDPA and USPSA 3 Gun. Great product. Love their Frequent Flyer belt when flying.
  14. I never like bolting on anything on a semi auto shotgun receiver. Can cause issues with cycling. Check out 3 Gun Gear if you want to put a side saddle on your shotgun.
  15. As some one who lived in the DC area, for 45 years, your best bet is to fly into Dulles. Much shorter drive to the range. BWI has better rates on flights, but getting from there to the range using the DC Beltway into Virginia, can be a nightmare. And Virginia is a much more of a gun friendly state than Maryland. Of course it all depends on the time of day you plan to arrive. Traffic can be a real crap shoot. That time of year the weather can be very mixed, rain and cold, or even snow, or can be in the 80's and humid, or perfect weather. Plan on all! LOL!
  16. Why is this a question? Of course, send it to Benny.
  17. With the Otto holder using the GRiTS technique, with only about 90 min of practicing, I was able the load 8, shoot one, in 8.13 seconds, with a Salient Benelli. This is the fastest I have ever been able to load. Use to use the Cooley Fip with my 1100CM, slow. With the Salient, tried the 4 shells at a time weak hand, epic fail, 3 at a time, fail. With some practice hope to get down to 6 seconds for 8, by the Nationals using the GRiTS. My thanks to John G for showing me the way.
  18. When I ran my Remington 1100 Competition Master, I changed the 0-rings every time I cleaned it. Got mine from Trugrip. Ran it wet Mobile One oil. Rem Oil on the bolt. Get a spare piston and ring from Brownells. As you probably know, you have to keep it clean. It was a great gun for 3 1/2 years of the 7 shot it. Then I bought a Salient M2! LOL!
  19. Decided to stay at the Silverton Hotel and Casino. It has a Bass Pro Shop attached! Nice if you need something. Easy to get to the range. South side of town. About a 20 min drive to the range. Not near the Strip. Rates for Wednesday night to Moday check out was $415.00, taxes included. Have stayed there for the 2005 & 2009 Multi Gun Nationals. Clean and nice. Awards are usually at the range after shooting 2 stages.
  20. I really like the way the Chameleon looks, could be more comfortable. I went with the Mark Otto because I got it in 4 days and the cost per shell holder. Otto belt was $150 and hold 22 shells. The GRiTS loading is a lot faster for me. (Grip it, rip it, tip it, slip it). Going to be interesting to see how many of these are going to be at the 3 Gun Nationals.
  21. After watching the issues you had first hand, I think that the follower stuck in the crimp of the shell may be the cause of the problem. I am going to check out my M2 follower and a shell. If you find out it was the lifter being bent let us know. Good shooting with you Monday.
  22. There are some videos on the forum some where. Check MarkCo's postings I think I saw it there. Temple Knight is a Nor Cal shooter and local club member where I shoot, who showed me the way. Thanks again John!
  23. Just got the Mark Otto vest last week. VERY WELL MADE. I had been using a Remington 1100CM and used the Cooley Flip loading one at a time for 8 years. Got a new Salient M2, started to try to load weak hand 4 at a time, epic fail, then 3 at time, fail. Practiced about 1/2 hr.per evening with the GRiTS (grip it, rip it, tip it, slip it) loading and I actually loaded 8, shot one in 8.13 second. Finally, for me I found the HOLY GRAIL of shotgun loading! My thanks to Temple Knight for showing me the way.
  24. New name for this loading style. GRIP IT RIP IT TIP IT SLIP IT Grip the 2 shells, rip them out of the holders, tip the shells down to the gate and then slip them in.
