Thanks BigBamBoo! -
If I know I will have to make a reload. I will use a 17 with the Dawson extension 1st then reload with a 31 with the Taylor, or a 17 with a Taylor extension. I do not like to drop the Taylor Free Lance on the ground if possible.

I have a master JP dealer that I use, he has a GMR 15 lower on order for me. I should get it in about 2 weeks. Since I live in CA. I shipped them a Thordsen stock to install, have one on my GMR13. I too have issues with the GMR13 lower. I just finished putting the ODIN Extended mag release attachment on it. Works great , part was only $22. Had a machine shop drill and tap it, reinstalled it and works great. Put the ugly Taccom mag well on it. Can't believe how easy it was to install and reasonable priced, and works. See if you can find a master JP dealer and order just the lower.

Yes, the Ca gun laws really suck! But getting to shoot year round is a plus. Have shot the Thanksgiving weekend 3 gun match at Sacramento in a long sleeve t-shirt on more that one occasion! Never had to worry about lost brass in the snow, or slipping on a icy course of fire! Lost brass in mud puddles, yes. BigBamBoo, I heard that Shasta Shooters were doing the Golden Bullet. True rumor? If so, have you picked a date? -

Optic Planet had them on a flash sale, back in mid July. I bought 2. Price is back up to 190 something now. I have no affiliation with this company, but it looks like a killer deal if you want to try out the 206. Crimson Trace CMR -206 In my basket, it came out to $109 to my door. -

I actually used my green laser on a couple of stages shooting at Sacramento Valley NCPS USPSA club yesterday. Very sunny yesterday! I was able to see it at close range 10-15 feet. Had a couple of targets that I would of had to shoot week shoulder, take time to transition, but just pointed the gun off my strong shoulder, saw the laser on target and pulled the trigger. Worked great. Got the Crimson Trace on sale for $105. I am running a Burris Fast Fire and mounts on the upper rail in front of the Burris. Does not block the red dot view. Some night matches coming up at Richmond, will be using it there also. -
Yes the GMR-13 lower. 53nolimit that would be great. Thanks.

Does any one make an extended mag release for the JP 9 lower?

My 18" JP loves the 77gr. Black Hills MK262 5.56 seconds. Also likes the 5.56 77gr. Black Hills. Have gotten groups of 1.25" at 300 yds. in a dead rest sled.

how will 3 gun work in CA. ?
Trail3 replied to rustybayonet's topic in Multi-gun Rules / Stage Design / Match Administration
MIke is 100% right. "Featureless guns are ok. Bullet button guns that get registered are OK." I have been shooting 3 gun in California since 2002. Bought my first OLL in Nov 2005 from 10% Firearms at the San Jose Gun Show. They were the 1st to offer the Off List Lowers in California. -

Set your AR up as featureless. That is what I have been running since 2006, with the U-15 stock. Just got the Thorsden stock in Friday for my next build. No need for a bullet button. When I go to Vegas for the Multigun Nationals, I put my A2 stock and pistol grip on in Nevada, change it back to head back home. -

To you non California shooters, nothing will change except more mag changes. Sales of 10 round mags will increase and so will mag pouches. IDPA has the 10 round limit and they have good matches. Plus since we get to shoot all year round with our great winter weather, we will get a lot of practice at our winter matches. The big issue for California shooters is attending out of state matches. This will probably be my last 3 gun National in Vegas ( have attended 5 in Vegas) due to mag ownership and transportation. -
2016 USPSA Multigun Nationals

With the 1/2 day format, eat before you shoot in the afternoon and if you shoot in morning eat after. Now Sunday by the time you shoot your last stage until scores are up, you can drive into town and get lunch. -
My M2 Salient with a LM choke likes Fiocchi 7/8 ounce slugs. Federal Low Recoil work good, Remington Low Recoil Sluggers only fair. Like others have written, buy a mix of slugs and see what works best for you shotgun.

"Well that is disappointing. Wish I had known earlier. Glad I saw this thread" I agree! Can not believe they did not give us a heads up about this sooner. -

Any word on the match hotel? Suncoast is full for Friday April 15. Really liked staying there last year. -
Will pro 9mm barrel work in a full size slide?
Trail3 replied to rustybayonet's topic in S&W (M&P, etc)
I just got a used full size M&P, had a Delta point, that had a comp, took in off. Just put a Storm Lake 4.95 barrel with 2 ports at the top in it. Shooting it this Sunday, wanted to try open cheap, will let you know how it does. -
MBX are pricey but they work. Love mine for my 18-9 & 16-40. Mecgar's I bought were the 9mm/38super and did not work when loaded to 15. Tried putting spacers in them and still did not work reliable. In the range bag for practice.

3 Gun in California
Trail3 replied to chacbalam's topic in Multi-gun Rules / Stage Design / Match Administration
+1 on featureless. I have been running a U-15 stock for 9 years, not available anymore. Thordsen FRS-15 is the way to go. When I do travel out of state for a match, I just switch to a A2 stock and a pistol grip. BigBamBoo is right after a few rounds you forget you are shooting a featureless. And have others have mentioned, check out a match, 3 gunners are more than happy to show you their gear. -
MBX has stated that followers that will allow the slide to lock back are going to be available.
-
Check out the MBX mags. Run great in the 18-9!

bwikel Thanks for the update!
