Need a load for power pistol and 125 cast bullet
T_Linville replied to kellymc's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
you probably won't find any data for WST in 9mm on hogdons' site. do a search here and you will find some data -
It's stainless it shouldn't rust.

Fiber optic sight users Green our Red?
T_Linville replied to Glockdirtyfour's topic in Gear & Accessories
ok i may be weird but yellow has worked the best for me. I have tried green and red, green would be my second choice, like somone else said red just looked a little fuzzy to me. -

T_Linville replied to x-ring shooter's topic in Travel, Locations, Ranges, etc.
i live in osgood, in about 15 minutes from batesville and travel to south central and silver creek. shoot me a pm it would be nice to have someone to ride with... As for shooting around batesville there is a trap shoot at the local coonhunters club but thats about it.. -
thanks for the great reply, i understand how to set the machine up i was just woundering mainly about the crimp. Yes the bullets are jacketed precesion delta 147gr powder is going to be titegroup. My measurements on the dummy rounds i have made are just about right on with the specs you gave,a few more adjustments and i should be ready to go.. thanks again...

Ok first off i am new to reloading, i bought a dillon 550 and have it set up to load 9mm all that is left to do is get the powder set where i need it. I have my bullet depth set, the only problem i am having so far is how to set the crimp. Any insight on this would be great. As i am pretty new to this forum my search skills aren't very good yet thanks in advance..

How light do you like your production trigger?
T_Linville replied to joedodge's topic in Handgun Techniques
i used the apex competition springs in my M&P and filed a stock sear and my trigger is 2lbs if not less, as others said i don't notice reset but with dry fire it resets ok. my trigger breaks at the end of the pull and i really like it. -
If i am thinking correctly i think that you can modify the sear housing to accept a bigger spring and plunger under the sear to correct this problem.. I think Speed Shooter does this modification.. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=124849

The second match i ever shot had a star half covered by a no shoot. Since then i have gotten a little better at the star not as fast as some but i can usually do it quickly just as the have said head arms legs.

i was most comfortable with the small, but i shoot alot better with the medium.

At our local match the other day we had a popper that was stubborn once in a while and a few shooters had to hit it twice to get it to go down. So in my stage planning i figured i would just double tap or drive it down. That is about the only time i have done an insurance shot. But being that i am pretty new to this sport i am learning new things every match..

Is the Mp overtaking the GL as the #1 gun for IDPA
T_Linville replied to 98006's topic in S&W (M&P, etc)
I don't know avout IDPA arond my area, but at the local USPSA match there are starting to be alot of M&Ps and not nearly as many glocks as i saw last year -
I read this post got up and shook my 9L with a 13 lb spring and it came out of battery, so now it has a 15 lb in it. If you held the gun straight up and down the gun would stay out of battery. Thanks for the heads up

i polished the apex sear and put in the USB and my trigger breaks at just over 4lbs. I have the comp trigger spring but i think that 4lbs is good for me right now till i get a few matches under my belt

I am not planning on buying anything anytime soon. I am just looking for suggestions incase i come across a deal i can't refuse. I want a little more info on what to avoid and what is working for everyone

I am new to the whole USPSA matches, on a local level this will be my first full year shooting. I have decided to shoot production this year and maybe buy a 1911 to shoot single stack with later in the year. My question is what kind of off the shelf gun are most shooting. I want something reliable and halfway cost effective. I have read on here about STI, Springfields, kimbers and such. I guess i really just want suggestions on what to buy 1911 wise.

M&P Pro 9mm or Glock 34 for production
T_Linville replied to JMIS's topic in Miscellaneous BEginners
I am a new guy and my opinion doesn't mean to much. But i shot them both before i bought and i bought the m&p over the glock because it fit me a little better. I will take nothing away from a Glock i carry a glock 22 as a duty gun. But for the intended use the M&P just seems to work for me. Just my .02 -
