  1. The new Windows live movie maker cannot do fancy stuff like overlays, picture-in-picture , etc. Good for basic video editing, but not much more. What you are asking for ,in original post, sounds like a video layering effect with semi-transparency. I upgraded to Sony Vegas ( home version) video editor to get such functionality. Picture-in-picture, layering video tracks, alpha blending and green-screen effects. Good audio editor also. For around $100 I think it was a good value. (All my YouTube videos are done with Vegas now)
  2. For a 20-Gauge, One annoyance I have found is there are no quick shotshell carriers for the belt that come in 20-gauge sizes. Like these Safariland and others that are only in 12 gauge: I am reduced to using the simple "box of loose shells" hanging off of my belt. I envy the 12-gauge carriers that keep several lined-up for quick access. I've searched online but can't find any in that style for 20-gauge.
  3. Your observation is correct... I am untrained in the ways of the thumb-safety...
  4. I guess I'll join the show & tell also with my videos... but I can't do any stunts like you do Blade mCP-x, my best flight ever: Link for mobile: Installed Turnigy Flybarless system on my HK-450-pro. This is me flying at our club's shooting-range, so sorry for the cluttered background: Link for mobile: FYI, I've been using one of those "808 Keychain cameras" that records 720p as my Hat-cam. for PoV camera when flying R/C and also when shooting matches, its a small camera that can easily mount on my hat so its out of the way. Most of my videos on my channel are taking with this camera, nowhere near as good as a GoPro or dedicated HD camera, but for the small size it is a good Point-of-view camera. (and it was only $40). I've tried flying it on-board my Helicopter but the shaking is so bad on the Heli the rolling-shutter gives a bad "Jello" effect. But for a Hat-cam it works good.

    Which one?

Stainless. I've gotta 'thing for stainless
  6. Yes 12 round magazines are available (if laws allow in your area). You have to look under the "high capacity magazines" section of the store they are not in the same section of the website as the 10-round magazines. Direct link: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_801049 I just received mine, I finally have extra magazines: That's a total of 108-rounds of .22 firepower! No Plate Rack or Dueling Tree will be spared.... If its worth doing.... its worth overdoing....
  7. Are you comparing the GSG-1911 vs other Rimfire .22's that are dry-fired alot? or comparing the GSG-1911 to other Centerfire pistols that are dry-fired alot? Because I can't think of any .22 that is fit to take prolonged dry-fire practice.
  8. +1 to that. I also have been off-and-on with R/C hobbies. When I first started, oh so many years ago, we had: - airplanes made of balsa wood covered with shrink-wrap - Radio transmitters/recivers that were analog and subject to interference, had to coordinate channels so you didn't crash someone else's plane - Messy glow-fuel engines - there were some basic NiCd battery-powered airplanes at that time, but they were just glorified gliders they did not have the power - I wasn't into Heli's at the time, but R/C helicopters that I did see very expensive and fragile, not for the faint of heart. Now I'm returning to the hobby, recently got interested in R/C Helicopters. The new stuff made it easier for me to re-enter the hobby: - Digital radios (no interference to crash other people's planes) - LiPO battery-power replacing glow-fuel for smaller models - ready-to-fly foam/plastic/carbon-fiber kits - 3-axis gyro / Flybarless sytems for Helicopters (<--- makes a big difference for me) I struggled to make progress starting-out on a 4-channel (mSR) then my first collective-pitch 6-channel (Blade SR). But when the Blade mCP-x came-out, that's when I really started to make progress in flying, that got me past the "crash-and-burn" phase and I started to go into basic inverted flight. Also flybarless on the mCP-x opened my eyes: I have seen the future of R/C helicopters and it is flybarless. I've built a flybarless HK-450-pro and I like it, but its so big the only place I can fly it is at the shooting-range when nobody else is around. (I've found that the shooting range is a great place to fly, if nobody else is around, just watch-out if those Trap/Skeet shooters are around ... Pull! )
  9. Magazines are now available on S&W's website. Gee, that took long enough… I've had a Backorder placed since August!
  10. Merry Christmas everyone! I can't play any musical instruments, so I did this instead: Edited: Link fixed
  11. I noticed that, happened twice while I was filming my video (I had shot a whole box of 550 rounds). One other thing I noticed was sometimes when I gripped the gun It would cause the safety to slightly move upwards into a halfway position, not enough to "click" to Safe position but enough that it prevented the gun from firing.
  12. Not sure if this is your exact issue, but apparently there was a "known-issue" with the barrel bushing and they upgraded the barrel bushing with new material: Something about testing your barrel bushing with a magnet and if it doesn't stick, you can ask them for the new version? I didn't have a GSG-1911 back then so I don't know for sure. Reference: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=467480
  13. Please tell me where you got the extra magazines. I am still waiting on Backorder from S&W. Did you find them on-line or in a store?
  14. After much frustration not being able to shoot my M&P22 because there are no magazines, I became aware of this GSG-1911. I got mine a few weeks ago and I really like it. The other shooter in my family says she wants to use it as her new Rimfire pistol. I should have bought two I know I'm "showing up late to the BBQ after the food is already cold", but here's my thoughts on it: The video starts with me introducing the gun at a cowboy-action range (Because this is where our club hosts Rimfire events), explaining the features of this firearm some of the things I like and don't like about it, then towards the end there's video of the gun in-action. 15. I don't have experience with a wide variety of 22 pistols. Only 3 I have first-hand experience with, for comparison: 1) Ruger 22/45 (comparing stock, out-of-the-box configuration) 2) GSG-1911 3) S&W M&P22 The Ruger definitely has the best trigger, but Magazine changes are tricky, and they don't drop free. the M&P has all the others beat for fast mag changes. However, still can't get extra magazines for the M&P 22. The M&P 22 definitely has the advantage on ease of operation, easy to pull the slide-back, easy to clear a jam/misfire. Easy to reach the magazine button (on GSG-1911 and Ruger 22/45 it takes some stretching for me to reach the magazine release button). If you want to build-up a racegun with go-fast accessories or mount optics you need to go with the Ruger, because the M&P22 and GSG-1911 don't have any easy way to mount optics on-top. Reliability I think all 3 are on-par, Can't say one jams more than the other. Accuracy, also, for all 3 they are more accurate than I am.
  16. At 1000 fps yes the bullet moves approx 1 foot per frame, but… The video-camera's shutter is not necessarily open for that entire 1/1000th of a second, is it? The shutter time is often less than the inter-frame time, depending on lighting conditions and the design of the camera, is it?
  17. The following picture is from a 1080 HD video, extracting the frame that shows the bullet in flight (not that hard to catch, if I just keep recording for several shots). Those are very expensive.FYI, For the consumer market, Casio has a high-speed mode in their EXILIM like that can do slow-motion around 120 or 240 frames per second but resolution is severely lowered as speed increases.
  18. When you put leftovers in the fridge/freezer, you use a Reloading Label sticker to note the date of the food and other info.
  19. What, that big wheel wasn't part of the Classifier? (kidding!)
  20. At main challenge: Mike's run was heartbreaking. Showed how strong Dustin was, how quickly things could get out of sync and go wrong, even for best shooters. One of the shooters (can't remember which) was air-gunning as the platform made its first rotation, and he was also moving his trigger finger to try to get a feel for how fast he would need to shoot. Good use of the first-rotation time, I thought. At the elimination challenge: WoW Perfect run Mike! Notice how he was air-gunning all targets when the chair was being rolled forward, very fast on the transitions. 20 targets with only 21 shots fired And to cap it all off, a good bullet-catch that was a nice flair for the dramatic; it makes good TV. I pick Dustin for the Win. Next episode I'll see if I'm right...
  21. With Solo 1000 on a 9mm, I like it for cast-lead bullets, but I had trouble making power-factor unless I was very close to the maximum load (based on load data I got from Accurate).
  22. I've never shot a Buckmark, but I have owned a Ruger 22/45 for a while now... One thing you should know BEFORE you buy the Ruger 22/45 (and the other Ruger .22 pistol) is how hard it is to grasp the bolt-ears and pull the bolt back on the Ruger's. You only have two small tabs to grab-on to, and often people who are unfamiliar with it cannot open it. Especially if the hammer falls on a dead-round, then you have to pull back against the force of the hammer, which is difficult for me and impossible for anyone else in my family. For a child or other family members this will be a deal-breaker, unless you install a slide-racker or other extended handle to the Ruger, which is also a hassle to get one and install it correctly to where it doesn't break later. My M&P22 is not a "target pistol" like you are asking about, but by comparison it is much easier to operate and open the slide against the tension of a fallen-hammer, so even my other family members can operate it, load/unload, and clear jams without having to call for help. I don't have a Buckmark to compare, but if it gives extra area on the "slide" to grasp and force it open, that would be a plus over the Ruger, as far as "ease of operation" is concerned. When it comes to accuracy, I really like my Ruger 22/45 it is always more accurate than I am.
