actually there is a public rifle range adjacent to that range-i'm sure what you hear is a single shot from that range. TGO kept his muzzle safe and finished 2nd overall to matt mclearn. BE was 3rd.
i shot with one mid-way out the barrel for a few years. new build will have the optic on the receiver. tried the speed bead and it's too close. like it on the receiver cause it's easier to pick-up flying clays with the bigger field of view. YMMV.
ok, take a look at this one...yes, we used to shoot single stack open guns without optics. yes, we learned how to reload back then. her's BE, TGO, the Jet, Angelo, Matt McClearn, Frank Garcia and a few more.
1992 Golden Gate Championship, my stage. After 2 1/2 days of 150 or so shooters, about a 1/2 pound of unburnt powder had built up in one of the barrels. Geoff Reisland was shooting when his comp cooked off the powder. Forum member Calishooter was the RO...i remember the look they both had.
