  1. I ordered a barrel from mossberg, but then came across a complete 930 with 28" barrel and 18.5" for $467/ shipped. Was going to just mod my SPX, but now I'll just mod this gun and put the SPX in the closet. All the Nordic parts including gun will cost around $800, this includes having the barrel cut and threaded.
  2. Anyone mod their 930 for 8+1, would like to know how that can be done without putting a longer tube on. If you did use a longer, tube, which one did you get? I sent my barrel to Briley's and had chokes installed, anyone do this and has anyone shot a 3-gun match with it yet? How is it? Thanks..
  3. I think that's awesome, a safe where the frig would be..
  4. Anyone who needs these parts, I have 4 extra kits, $5 shipped, send me a PM.
  5. Same thing I tell my kids when they fall down, get back up. It does you no good to beat yourself up, just learn from it and move on.
  6. It's surprising though how many people will argue a DQ, seen it before.
  7. Everyone has a bad day, walking away was the best thing in that situation.
  8. I have the Ready Tactical Holster, sold here - http://www.cpwsa.com/ready_tactical.htm I bought the DOH model for my 4.5" XDM and it fits the 5.25 perfect as well with none of slide sticking out the bottom.
  9. If you have a band saw or a jig saw, you could simply cut what you don't need off. You could even round the end, then use a soldering iron or a lighter to gently melt the end of the belt.
  10. A couple of good videos.. Disassembly of a 2011: Assembly of a 2011:
  11. So I took the gun apart last night to prep the grip, having no plans to do the job. This is how it turned out, not bad for the first time. Thanks to G-Man for the detailed instructions.
  12. This is very valuable info, I'll be giving this a try over the next few days. I hope G-ManBart doesn't mind, but I combined all three of his word files into a single .pdf G-ManBart Grip Reduction.pdf
  13. Thanks.. If it was any other day it wouldn't matter, problem with this Sunday is I have a BBQ to attend around 2pm. Going to try and make it though..
  14. I know this is hard to answer with the first match and all, but about what time will the match wrap up on Sunday? looking forward to attending..
  15. I've loaded and now shot a 1000 rounds of MG 180FMJ's through my new STI Edge.. I like the bullets.. Will continue to use MG going forward.. Can't beat the price or the time to your door.
  16. My STI Edge will be here this week and according to Brazos who I purchased the gun from, a good starting point is below. I've run about 50 rounds through my 650 with the following, will test it out when I pick the gun up this week, then makes changes. My starting round: OAL - 1.22 Powder - 4.7 grains of Tite Group, N320 would be my choice, as I've loaded it in the past with my PARA P-16, just hard to find local. Primers - Winchester Small Pistol - Will try small rifle later in another load Brass - Starline - New Bullets - MG 180gr FMJ Info below is what I received from Brazos OAL - Length of the cartridge should be 1.22 inches Powder - 5.0 grains of Vihta Vuori N320 or 4.8 grains Hodgon Tite Group Primers - Winchester small rifle primers are recommended although small pistol primers will work also Brass - Remington (40 S&W) Bullets - 180 grain Zero JHP (40 S&W) or Montana Gold These loads should make a 168 to 170 power factor. However, when determining the load that will work best for your gun, begin by using about 10% less than the specified amount of powder. Check for pressure and check for velocity using a chronograph. Work your way up until the load meets the desired power factor without showing pressure signs.
  17. I'm waiting for my Brazos HP Edge to arrive this week.. Waiting...patiently..
