He can fix it by paying for another gunsmith to do the work. Was this a 1911/2011 slide or your Tanfoglio?

Whoever did that should step up and fix the problem they created.

Thank you, Alan, for defending my 40th place finish at the 2008 Single Stack Nationals. I'm still waiting for the "Top Minor" trophy I earned with my .38 Super Kimber single stack! It was fun, but this year I'm planning to switch back to major power factor. The way the scoring system works, it is nearly always a benefit to be scored major. Your Welcome Mike, Now for the bad news, which I am sure you already have done. My quick analysis of the 2008 SSC Nats and you shooting minor vs major, If you would have shot major with the same times you would have finished 31st. Not an exact science but there would have been a difference of 39 match points. Alan

I have found the Dawson 9mm extractor to work in both of my 9majors. Measure the extractor hook top to bottom and compare that measurement. I will measure my Dawson's this evening when I get home. Check you extractor contact point when the slide has pulled case out of the chamber. you also might need to replace the ejector now. I am using the Caspian XL ejector and tuned them per Brazos info. 2009 USPSA Handgun Nationals (Now confirmed by USPSA)
Alan Meek replied to DBChaffin's topic in USPSA Nationals
As stated before, All of the details as to the Nationals are the responsibilities of the USPSA President, just because the AD's are reading the thread does not imply a confirmation. Nothing is set in stone until contracts are signed by all parties. At that time the USPSA President will make the announcement. That is the way it has worked in the past. Alan (Awaiting the announcement form the USPSA President the same as the rest.) -

Never had a bad experience yet. Back in 90 coming back from the US Nats in Barry walking through the ST Louis Airport reach in my pocket and discovered a loose round, discreetly dropped in trashcan as I walked by. Flying out to the 08 Shot show with two guns to be displayed, checked at Dulles no problem get to Vegas and no pelican case on luggage pickup. Getting concerned head over to Airline Baggage office and pelican case sitting in office. Flying back out of Vegas, watched two others declare firearms, when I got to counter Ticket Agent asked why was there so many people checking guns as I was the sixth one that morning, told him the SHOT show had just wrapped up and he replied cool. Suggested that I place the Pelican case on the luggage scale and everything was fine.
